He couldn’t believe what the doctor had said. He was going to be a father soon.
From the doctor’s words, it meant that DeLorna was pregnant.
Jefferson didn’t know how to feel right now. He was very happy but didn’t know how to show it.
“Alpha, are you okay?” The doctor frowned when he saw Jefferson unmoving.
Jefferson came back to his senses hearing the doctor’s words. Immediately he stood from where he was sitting and looked at the doctor smiling.
He didn’t know how to thank the doctor for bringing him the such good news.
“So how’s she now?” Jefferson asked as he managed to contain his excitement.
“She’s asleep as she’s very weak because this is her first pregnancy…” The doctor started,
“She fainted due to stress so you shouldn’t allow her to do any work again.”
“Also don’t allow walking over a long distance.” He concluded.
Hearing the doctor’s words Jefferson nodded his head excitedly not caring about his image.
His wish was becoming a reality slowly and he loved it.
Thanking the doctor Jefferson entered the ward DeLorna was grinning.
He would have gone to buy a bouquet but he felt it was not necessary as the place was too far.
That was just how he felt all because he was excited to see DeLorna.
Getting inside the ward Jefferson saw DeLorna sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Seeing her graceful manner of sleep,
DeLorna’s love in his heart increased by leaps and bounds.
He was going to love her for every second of his life no matter what.
Nothing was ever going to come between them and he was going to make sure it was like that.
Walking near DeLorna he sat on a chair by her side and held her hands while looking at her smiling.
The beam on Jefferson’s face was so bright that it could lighten up the entire pack.
Jefferson was so happy right now that he would accept the request of whoever comes to him now.
If the four leaders of the other Lycan packs were to see Jefferson this way they wouldn’t believe he was the one and would argue endlessly he was the one.
The Jefferson they knew was the one who doesn’t show his emotions no matter what.
He was as hard as anything to read. Before one would be able to read him one would have to be with him all the time.
But Jefferson here was smiling and showing all his emotions like he just won the lottery.
Jefferson kept holding on to DeLorna’s hand for how long God knew he was lost in his thoughts.
“Jefferson.” A relatively soft voice called out softly.
Immediately Jefferson snapped from his thoughts and looked at DeLorna who was now awake.
“What’s with the smile?” DeLorna frowned a little confused.
She had fainted and now had woken up but here was Jefferson looking at her with a smile on his face.
She could feel the love radiating from him and Could tell that the love he had for her had increased by leaps and bounds.
Jefferson smiled when he heard DeLorna’s question. He was sure she wasn’t aware that she was pregnant.
“I’m going to be a father soon,” Jefferson grinned.
“A father soon?” DeLorna muttered looking confused.
Suddenly her brain clicked and she subconsciously touched her stomach.
Instantly she could feel a little life force in her stomach meaning she was pregnant.
It was then she understood why Jefferson was grinning.
Looking at Jefferson with a smile on her face she took his hands and placed them on her stomach as a smile spread across her face.
Jefferson was very happy as he touched his mate’s stomach. He could also feel the slight life force from it.
He was on cloud nine and wanted nothing more but to live his life peacefully with his mate and watch her pregnancy grow until she gave birth.
He would then watch his child until he grows and if it was a female he would protect her until she grows.
“We’ll become parents soon,” DeLorna muttered looking into Jefferson’s eyes.
Jefferson nodded excitedly and pecked DeLorna on the forehead.
He was going to make sure DeLorna didn’t do anything until she gave birth to the baby.
No matter how small the work was he wouldn’t allow her to do it.
“The doctor said you fainted due to fatigue,” Jefferson whispered to DeLorna.
DeLorna looked at Jefferson and sighed. She knew what Jefferson was trying to say.
She knew he wouldn’t allow her to do any form of work for the next nine months until she gave birth.
Well, she wasn’t doing any work, only some tours around the pack so she wasn’t worried much.
“When are we going back,” DeLorna sighed. She was already tired of the hospital.
She was someone that never liked staying at the hospital so she wanted to go back home as quickly as she could.
“Don’t worry the doctor will come to check on you soon, then I’ll tell him to discharge you,” Jefferson beamed, holding DeLorna’s hands tightly.

Some hours later Jefferson carried DeLorna in a bridal style as he walked out of the hospital.
The doctor had discharged them and he was talking DeLorna back to the room.
He wasn’t going to allow her to walk as he felt their destination was too far so he decided to carry her.
In no time the two got back to Jefferson’s room.
Jefferson placed his mate on the bed.
“What would you like to eat?” he smiled. He had guessed she must have been hungry as he had eaten anything since morning and it was almost noon.
DeLorna smiled upon hearing Jefferson’s question. It wasn’t that she wasn’t hungry but she didn’t feel like eating.
“Just ask the maid to bring what they had prepared for us in the morning.” She forced a smile.
Hearing this Jefferson smiled and stood from the bed going out of the room.
He was going to instruct the maids to take the food to DeLorna.
Also, he was going to head to the barracks of the pack and choose some able soldiers to protect DeLorna in the shadows.
Though he was sure only he could protect her, he felt there was an extra need for him to add another layer of protection.
Sooner or later the news of DeLorna’s pregnancy would spread in the pack. He didn’t know if the strong person who had placed him under hypnosis was still in the pack.
If the person was still in the pack he or she might try to harm him, something he couldn’t let happen so he was going to make sure some soldiers would be protecting her.
