Getting outside Jefferson saw rows of cars coming into view.
Seeing this scene a smile appeared on his lips. Though he hadn’t waited for long he was already bored waiting for the four leaders.
He watched as four cars pulled up in front of him and the four leaders came out smiling looking at Jefferson.
“Where are your soldiers?” The tall muscular one amongst the leaders frowned when he didn’t see any soldiers with Jefferson.
Suddenly another troop of cars came into view before Jefferson could reply.
“Here they are,” Jefferson said with a smile immediately as the cars pulled up.
The four leaders turned and looked at the cars that just pulled up before them.
“I came here alone and gave them the direction that’s why they are just arriving,” Jefferson said before they could ask any questions.
The four leaders turned back to Jefferson in understanding and smiled.
“So what’s the plan?” The chubby-looking leader said, looking at Jefferson.
“Nothing, we go attack the wolf pack that’s all,” Jefferson replied.
“Aren’t you going to brief the soldiers?” The tall muscular leader frowned.
“You could do that. After all, I’m not the only leader here,” Jefferson smiled, walking toward one of the cars and sitting on it.
Hearing Jefferson’s words the four leaders sighed and then each ordered their soldiers to come out of the cars and assemble as one.
Jefferson watched on and didn’t order his soldiers to do anything. But his soldiers were smarter than he imagined.
When the four leaders were calling out to their soldiers to assemble in a place they also joined and assembled in a place.
The four leaders seeing this were surprised. They didn’t expect Jefferson’s soldiers to be this coordinated.
Jefferson watched as each of the four leaders briefed the soldiers on what they were going to do.
They also talked about teamwork and asked them to make friends amongst themselves as they had to fight as one or else they would be defeated.
Jefferson watched on from where he sat and didn’t intend on giving any speech. He felt it was useless. When they get to the battlefield he would give one.
Right now he was thinking about the possible ways the Wolves would use me to counterattack them and was kind of confused.
Some minutes later the four leaders were done giving the speech and asked the soldiers to move back to the cars but this time they asked them to mix up.
Jefferson watched as the soldiers divided themselves into groups and entered each car. But they didn’t come closer to the car he was sitting in.
After they were done. The four leaders walked to him.
“It’s time to go.” The leader clad in white said to him.
Jefferson sighed and got down of the car. Opening the door the five of them got in and a soldier came and started the car heading to the wolves pack.
Jefferson didn’t want to use the car as he felt it would rather slow them down but for the sake of peace, he didn’t say anything and just followed along.
“Have you guys thought about what we’ll do if we are to be ambushed by the wolf pack,” Jefferson suddenly said amidst the silence?
A gasp suddenly spread amongst the four leaders immediately after they heard Jefferson’s words.
They became confused and wondered what Jefferson was thinking for him to talk that way.
“Why did you say so?” The chubby-looking leaders frowned after the atmosphere returned to normal.
“Haven’t you guys thought of it? We might be ambushed by the wolf’s pack. First, they might have a spy who is telling them of our every move. Also, I’m sure that even if they don’t have a spy they would have known that we are coming to attack,” Jefferson replied as he thought about it.
The four leaders nodded in agreement as they fell into deep thinking with Jefferson’s words. They realized he was right. What if they were attacked?
“We’ll fight them back.” The tall muscular leader replied.
“I’m not saying we’ll not be able to fight them. But we’ll incur much loss in a situation we all want to avoid,” Jefferson replied.
“We’ll try not to incur much loss.” The leader clad in white replied.
“There’s no way we are going to avoid that. Most of our soldiers would die in the process of the ambush. What are we going to tell their families,” Jefferson countered.
Hearing Jefferson’s words the car fell into silence. The four leaders realized Jefferson was right and didn’t know what to say.
What if the wolves really ambush them? What were they going to do? Though they were strong enough to protect themselves from any imminent danger they were not sure if they would be able to protect their soldiers from the danger and prevent casualties at the same time.
Thus they fell into deep thought and wondered what they were going to do if what Jefferson said happened.
“What if they’ve fled away from their pack?” Jefferson suddenly said again adding to the problems they were facing.
Hearing Jefferson’s words the faces of the leaders changed and they didn’t know what to say.
What the hell was he thinking? They didn’t know what was wrong with him.
Though there was the possibility of what Jefferson said would happen it was very low.
They knew the leader of the wolf pack quite well. They were sure that once he heard that they were starting a war he wouldn’t want to back out like a coward but he would retaliate back with his army prepared.
Though there were chances of what Jefferson said it was extremely low.
“What are we going to do if the wolves surrender?” Jefferson suddenly said again deep in thought.
Hearing his words once more the four leaders in the car were thrown into a dilemma and didn’t know what to do. They wondered what the hell was going on with Jefferson.
From the way, he was talking it was obvious that he was reluctant to go to the war and they wondered why.
They wanted to ask what was wrong with him but none of them dared to ask. They all had a kind of fear towards Jefferson. They knew how strong he was, especially when he got angry. They didn’t want to get him angry as he might pour all the anger out on them.
Soon the car descended to silence again as none of the leaders talked to each other.
Each was pondering on the three questions Jefferson had asked.
Jefferson seeing this had a smirk on his face. He loved what he was seeing. He had intentionally said all that aloud to prevent the leaders from talking along the way.
He knew they loved chatting and their talks might interrupt his thoughts so he had said his thoughts aloud so they could keep pondering over them.
The soldier who was driving the car was sweating because of the atmosphere in the car.
While the atmosphere felt cold and chilly to Jefferson and the four leaders the atmosphere felt hot to him and his seat was burning.
He badly wanted to stop the car and have some rest but he dared not to stop the car.
Right now he was driving the five strongest in the supernatural world. How dare he stop without asking for their opinions?
This thought alone made him continue to drive the car without stopping.
It was almost dawn now as they had been driving all night. The wolf’s pack was quite a distance from their place.
Jefferson had been having ominous feelings all along but didn’t say anything to the four leaders so as not to scare them.
Putting his head outside the window of the car. Jefferson breathed a sigh of relief as he inhaled the air.
The rushing air touching his skin felt good. He didn’t want it to stop but who was he to direct fate?
Suddenly he frowned as his instinct screamed danger. He didn’t know what was lurking in the dark but was sure whatever was lurking in the bushes wasn’t something good.
“Stop the car.” He said.
Immediately the soldier driving the car heard his word he stopped the car.
The four leaders who were in the car at that moment frowned when they heard Jefferson’s words and wondered why he had ordered the car to stop.
The sudden motion of Jefferson ordering the driver of the car to stop made the other cars at the backstop abruptly.
The four leaders wondered why Jefferson ordered the soldier to stop the car. They wondered if he wanted to ease himself or if he wanted to have some rest.
They knew Jefferson well that he hated travelling in a car as he counted the speed of cars slow but they knew he had no choice that was why he was in the car with them.
Immediately the car stopped, Jefferson opened the door of the car and rushed outside at full speed.
Seeing Jefferson’s actions the four leaders were shocked and rushed outside trying to follow Jefferson but Jefferson was faster. He had disappeared into the bushes before they got outside.
The soldiers were also surprised at Jefferson’s acting and also rushed out of their cars, cocking their guns and also activating their supernatural abilities ready to fight anything.
The four leaders also stood ready for a fight immediately Jefferson rushed into the bushes. Though they knew Jefferson was strong they couldn’t help but be worried as Jefferson’s actions seemed strange.
Suddenly a scream was heard in the bushes Jefferson rushed into.
Hearing the screams all the soldiers and the four leaders became high on alert and wondered what was happening.
Though the four leaders were sure that it wasn’t Jefferson who was screaming they were still high on alert.
Suddenly another scream came and a figure was thrown out of the bushes and landed in front of the four leaders.
Another figure followed immediately after the first figure landed, shocking the four leaders greatly.
It was at that moment they realized the reasons why Jefferson had ordered the soldier to stop the car.
By now the soldiers had already surrounded the two figures thrown out of the bush by Jefferson and had restricted their movements.
Though they were also shocked by the scene they didn’t say anything and only looked towards the bush in amazement wondering how Jefferson was able to know that people were lurking in the bushes.
Though from the looks of the people who were thrown out by Jefferson they knew they weren’t supernatural creatures but still waited till Jefferson came out of the bushes.
The four leaders were also amazed. Though after the words Jefferson had said they had been high on alert they hadn’t realized that some people were watching them.
A minute or two the leaves in the bush rustled and Jefferson emerged from the bushes.
“Kill them.” He ordered in a cold voice.
Hearing his words the soldiers were shocked and hesitated to carry out his orders.
Seeing that the soldiers were hesitant Jefferson smiled, “They are werewolves disguised as humans. They have covered their scent so you won’t smell it no matter what. They were sent by their Alpha to spy on us.” He said.
Hearing his words the soldiers immediately cocked their guns and killed the two right away.
“Let’s continue on the journey,” Jefferson said, heading back to the car.
Immediately the soldiers dispersed and went back to the car as the journey began again.
This time everyone was high on alert due to what had just happened.
The four leaders wanted to ask Jefferson a lot of questions but didn’t know how to start so they just kept quiet and the journey continued in silence.
Jefferson also could see the question in their eyes but he wasn’t going to say anything.
