Chapter 43: NIGHT

Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

Jefferson sighed walking out of the room. Where was he going? It was unknown to even him but all he knew was that he wanted them to have some time alone.
He had been with his mate since morning and needed some breathing space.
It wasn’t as if he didn’t like being with her but his mate was someone troublesome and didn’t allow him to rest a book throughout the day.
It was not as if he was that tired but he needed some space.
He didn’t know why but he had thought DeLorna would put up some acts that night that he might not be able to handle and had decided to aim for it first.
But to his surprise, she fell asleep before he could do anything, a rather surprising issue. Well it wasn’t her fault she was but a human and her stamina was limited. It wasn’t like his stamina where he could go on working or doing whatever he wanted for straight one week without getting tired. Besides, she was a girl.
Getting to the balcony of the room he sighed and took out a cigarette and let it out before popping out smoke from it.
He wasn’t someone who loved to smoke but sometimes he would smoke when he was stressed out.
Glancing at the sky he sighed. Right now he was wishing his parents were alive to witness this scene. He would soon get revenge for them. Very soon. He just had to wait for a week and then he would be able to get revenge.
After Jefferson finished the cigarette he used his thumb and pressed the butt of the cigarette quenching the fire.
Throwing the cigarette away he entered back into the room and went directly to the bathroom to have a shower.
Soon he was done. Coming out he put on pyjamas and lay down on the bed beside DeLorna who was sleeping peacefully.
He could see a smile etched on her beautiful face and couldn’t help but wonder what kind of dream she was having for her to be smiling even in her sleep.
Kissing DeLorna on the forehead he lay beside her with his back on the bed facing the ceiling.
Not long after he slept off while staring at the ceiling thinking about random things.

Abigail sat on the bed looking around her room. She had been having sleepless nights.
Many thoughts had been running through her mind ranging from what she was going to do to DeLorna and many others.
She wanted to do many things but was afraid she might get Jefferson angry.
What the hell was she waiting for she didn’t know all she knew was that she didn’t want to hurt Jefferson but she didn’t want him together with DeLorna and she knew how much her brother loved her.
Sighing she stood up from her bed and went out of the room. Getting outside she raised her head and looked at the sky.
“It’s beautiful up there,” she muttered trying to count the many stars in the sky.
She looked around the houses in the pack and smiled. There had been a struggle with a girl in the pack she had been wanting her brother to mate to.
But before she could talk about the girl to her brother he had already found his mate. A situation that caused her to hate DeLorna even though DeLorna was innocent of the hatred. She had planned to introduce the girl to Jefferson and make them sleep together.
Then once the girl gets pregnant for her brother she would be able to proceed with the plan and make him forget the search for his mate.
But unfortunately, he had found his mate right before she could go on with what her plans were. But who cares she was still going to go on with it.
She knew DeLorna was a rather stubborn person and would leave her brother once she found out he slept with another woman on her back.
She knew DeLorna was so stubborn that there was nothing Jefferson would be able to do to convince her to come back to him. But she also knew her brother wasn’t going to sleep with just any woman apart from his mate and it was going to be a hard job making him and the girl sleep together so she had been thinking of an opportunity.
Though she hadn’t found one yet she knew the opportunity was going to arrive anytime soon. So she had always been looking for a way to prevent Jefferson from sleeping with his mate so that she would be able to leave him once he sleeps with the person she wants.
Thinking of this a smile crept on her face. She knew DeLorna wasn’t going to suspect her and all she would think was that Jefferson wasn’t loyal to her that was why she had been nice to her but who cares anyway.
Pushing all her thoughts to the back of her mind she walked towards a house in the distance. Though the thoughts were still running through her mind as different ideas were busy popping into her head and she had a hard thing controlling them and pushing them back to the back of her mind.
The entire pack was extremely silent this night and everywhere was lit as there was light.
Even if there was no light it wouldn’t be difficult for Abigail to find her way as she could see clearly in the dark.
Soon they got to the house she was going to. What the hell was she going to do in the house? She didn’t know all she knew was that she wanted to talk with the girl she had planned on making sleep with her brother.
She had already discussed with the girl right from the onset and she had already agreed but the thing was that Jefferson had already found his mate right before anything could be carried out.
So the girl was quite depressed and refused to see Abigail as she claimed she was in love with Jefferson and DeLorna wasn’t worthy of Jefferson’s love.
But Abigail was the second in command in the pack so how could the girl refuse to see her? So this night Abigail was going to see her even if she liked it as she didn’t care.
She had come up with another plan. A plan which she was sure would work perfectly. But the problem was who would execute it as the plan was a bit dangerous and could lead to Jefferson killing the person if caught and she didn’t want to put anybody’s life in danger.
Maybe she was going to execute the plan herself.
Pushing all these thoughts to the back of her mind she knocked on the door of the house.
In no less than a minute the door was flung open as the inhabitant of the house didn’t expect someone to visit them by this time of the night.
seeing it was Abigail the door closed immediately. Abigail sighed seeing this but she wasn’t angry either.
“Open this door or I will break it down,” She yelled.
“Just go away.” A voice replied from the house.
“Open this door on the count of three,” Abigail continued.
“one!” she counted.
“Two!”
“Three!”
Immediately the door of the house flung open and Abigail went into the house smiling and closing the door behind her.
She knew she was going to have a rather hard time convincing the girl. But if she was too stubborn to listen she was going to do things the hard way.
Either She releases her aura to threaten her or beat her up so that she could listen to whatever she had to say. But Abigail was sure the girl was obedient and would listen to whatever she had to say.
