Jefferson disengaged from the kiss and went toward the door. Though he was hard down there already. He had no choice but to suppress the feeling and go to open the door.
He never knew what his sister might have to say. Though he was a little bit unhappy that she wasn’t in the pack at the time of the attack there was nothing he could do.
He opened the door only to see his sister standing at the door looking at him impatiently.
Though Jefferson was a little bit unhappy with his sister he still forced a smile at her.
Abigail, who was getting rather impatient and was about to open the door, froze when the door opened and Jefferson came out.
She could see a little bit of unhappiness in his eyes even though he smiled.
Forcing a smile she said, “Jeff, I’m sorry that I wasn’t in the pack to help when the attack happened.”
Jefferson hearing his sister’s words smiled and shook his head.
He wondered if she had come only to apologize but he guessed she came for more than an apology.
“Here’s the culprit you’ve been looking for,” Abigail said, throwing the weak man who was behind her to Jefferson’s front.
Before Jefferson could ask any questions Abigail continued.
“When I came back from where I went I asked him some questions though at that time I wasn’t sure if he was the one who was the culprit so I had left him alone.”
“This evening he had sneaked into my room to assassinate me as he thought I was sure about my doubt,” Abigail said.
Immediately Jefferson understood everything. It turned out that the culprit was the one who exposed himself. His sister had just asked him some random question and he had ended up thinking she knew and wanted to silence her. Did he think his sister was the easy prey and that he could just sneak into her room and kill her at any time? How foolish was he?
Though it wasn’t the man’s fault as he knew his sister had a unique way of questioning. She would ask questions in such a way that one would think she knew about everything so one would be compelled to tell her everything.
Abigail, who had worn back her shirt, stood up from the bed and walked to the door.
She gasped in shock seeing the man who was beaten blue-black by Abigail.
Abigail raised her head and looked at DeLorna immediately she heard her gasp.
“I hope you weren’t affected by the shock of the attack this morning,” Abigail smiled at DeLorna.
DeLorna became confused hearing Abigail’s statement and looked at Jefferson.
Jefferson for a moment also became confused with his sister’s action. He had thought his sister hated his mate but was she nice to her now?
“Thanks, I wasn’t affected much,” DeLorna replied after some time.
Abigail smiled and didn’t say anything. This was just the first step. She thought. Pushing these thoughts to the back of her mind she faced Jefferson smiling.
“What are we going to do with him?”
“It’s obvious he’s going to hell,” Jefferson replied, still deep in thought.
“But what has he done?” DeLorna asked, looking confused.
Jefferson sighed and looked at DeLorna. “He’s the culprit we’ve been looking for. He also tried to assassinate my sister.
DeLorna gasped hearing Jefferson’s words and looked at the man.
“So what are you going to do to him?” She frowned.
“Send him to hell,” Jefferson replied.
“Hell?” DeLorna said looking confused.
“Don’t worry about that it’s something minimal,” Jefferson replied walking out of the room with DeLorna following him.
“I think you should take him to the elders so they would decide what to do with him,” Abigail suddenly said immediately after they got outside the building.
It was dark by the time they got outside.
“Sis, why do you say so?” Jefferson frowned.
Abigail shrugged her shoulders and didn’t say anything.
“I just felt you should take him to the elders as they are in the best position to do anything.” She replied after some silence.
“No need to tell them about it tomorrow when I visit them. Currently, he has two offences on him. First, he tried to assassinate you and second he was the cause of the attack in the pack. He has betrayed the pack so he deserves to die,” Jefferson replied, fuming in anger.
Abigail didn’t say anything and just looked on.
“Take him to the cell,” Jefferson said to the guards around throwing the man to them.
“Yes sir.” The two guards who were near at the moment saluted Jefferson and dragged the man who had already fainted to the cell.
DeLorna watched as the guards dragged the unconscious man to the cell.
“Good night Jeff,” Abigail said, going back to the apartment.
“Good night sis,” Jefferson replied, glancing at his sister.
DeLorna glanced up at the sky looking at the stars and the moon shining brightly.
“Isn’t the moon beautiful?” DeLorna muttered.
“The moon is beautiful but you’re more beautiful,” Jefferson said looking at DeLorna.
Immediately DeLorna’s face went red in embarrassment with Jefferson’s reply.
“Why must you be a jerk?” DeLorna pouted looking at Jefferson who was smiling mischievously.
“Let’s go back inside,” Jefferson continued.
DeLorna nodded and followed Jefferson back to the room.
Getting inside Jefferson locked the door behind him.
He and DeLorna lay on the bed as they looked at each other.
DeLorna yawned loudly before.
“Sleep well,” Jefferson smiled, cuddling DeLorna to sleep.
After ten minutes or so DeLorna slept. After making sure she was asleep Jefferson sighed and stood up from the bed caressing DeLorna’s hair.
After kissing DeLorna good night on the forehead he tiptoed outside the room so as not to wake her up.
Getting out of his room Jefferson disappeared. He was heading to the cell.
He had wanted to kill the man earlier but he couldn’t do so in front of his mate. He didn’t want her to witness such a gruesome sight so he waited for her to sleep before he would finish the man off.
Soon he got to the cell. Not long he located the cell in which the man was kept.
Getting to the cell he looked at the man and smiled.
Jefferson extended his claws and removed the man’s heart before he could realize what was going on.
Immediately, Jefferson disappeared heading to where God knows.
