It was not until almost sunset that Abigail got to the pack. The distance from where she was to the pack was quite a great distance.
She had been having an ominous feeling which made her increase her speed.
She wasn’t feeling comfortable in any way and wanted to know the reason.
Getting to the pack she saw the huge gate in front of the pack had a dent in it.
The guards that were supposed to be at the gate were not there.
Immediately Abigail frowned and stopped in her tracks.
“What the hell is happening?” She muttered.
She stopped in her tracks and pushed open the gate walking in slowly. She had been out all day so she had no idea what happened.
Getting into the pack she walked some distance looking around at the houses and the people doing their work.
Suddenly she frowned and sped in the distance. Getting there she frowned, looking surprised.
Construction workers were working on the road.
There were cracks and dents on the floor. Some of the streetlights were disfigured beyond recognition.
It was obvious that a fight had happened here and the people who fought weren’t ordinary people either. They had to be extremely strong to be able to create this.
Immediately her mind went to her brother. He was the only one who had the strength to create this situation in the pack. Apart from him, she could think of no one except the elders. But the elders weren’t troublesome and would hardly come out of their places except the pack was in deep crisis.
She looked around and saw a pack member walking.
Immediately she disappeared and appeared before him.
The pack member, a tall but lanky man who was walking along the roadside where the construction was going on, suddenly saw a figure appear in front of him.
Immediately he took a fighting stance as he thought the figure was about to attack him.
But on seeing it was Abigail he became even more alarmed as there was no way he would beat her if he fought her.
Seeing the man’s fear Abigail smiled. “What’s the situation like in the pack?” She frowned.
Hearing Abigail’s question the man sighed in relief.
“This morning we were attacked by the wolf pack.” He replied timidly.
“Where was the Alpha at that time to curb the attack?” Abigail frowned.
“The Alpha wasn’t in the pack at that time. But luckily he came back in time to curb the attack before there were any serious casualties.” The man replied, shaking.
“How did they know that he’s not in the pack? Who gave them the information?” Abigail bellowed.
“We don’t know how they got the information. All we just heard was the emergency alarm and we ran to the safe house.” He replied, shaking.
Hearing the man’s answer Abigail frowned.
She became confused. There was no way the wolf’s pack would know she had her brother wasn’t at the pack and would attack. It meant there was a traitor in the pack.
She was very good at detecting liars and was convinced the man in her front knew something about the attack.
“What else do you know about the attack?” Abigail frowned.
it was a wolf amongst the wolves that attacked the pack.” The man replied shakingly.
“And how would you know about that if you were in the safe house?” Abigail frowned. She was sure that apart from the guards who would know of the attack and Jefferson,
no one in the pack would know about the certain number of wolves that attacked the pack. So she was sure that something was fishy and decided to probe more.
“Be.. ca.. use…”
“Because you were the one who gave them the information that the Alpha and his sister were not at the pack,” Abigail interrupted the man.
“No, it’s not like that I swear to the moon goddess I wasn’t the one who revealed the information.” The man shuttered immediately after he heard Abigail’s words.
“Wow, tell me who it was,” Abigail smiled.
“I honestly don’t know.” The man replied, shivering.
“Are you sure?” Abigail frowned.
“Yeah, I’m sure?” The man replied.
“You can go,” Abigail replied and sped off from the place.
Along the way she had already inquired from the other pack members so she learned that Jefferson was with the elders.
She would have gone to look for him there and told him of her discovery but she didn’t quite like the elders so she decided to go to her room.
She wondered how DeLorna was doing. Thinking of DeLorna a smirk appeared in the corner of her mouth. She knew what she was going to do to her.
Abigail pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind and entered her room.
Getting inside she removed the clothes she was wearing and entered the bathroom to wash up. Her body was in a mess. She had sex just before she came and hadn’t cleaned up so she felt she was stinking.
Abigail was a clean freak so she disposed of the clothes she wore. The maid who usually helped wash her clothes would understand what she meant when she saw the place the clothes were.
Some minutes later Abigail came out of the bathroom with her towel wrapped around her body, water dripping slowly on the floor. She was still looking as hot as ever.
Some minutes later she was dressed in her pyjamas as she prepared to sleep.
Due to the long run she had. She was very tired right now and wanted nothing but to sleep.
She knew Jefferson would be unhappy that she was in the pack at the time of the attack but she could not help it. It had become a habit to go out of the pack every day.
Lying on the king-sized bed Abigail soon fell asleep.
***
The door to Abigail’s room suddenly opened slowly and a figure sneaked inside trying its best not to disturb Abigail who was sleeping soundly.
The figure was in black clothes and a mask.
It had waited for about two hours to make this bold move. Though the figure knew nothing must go wrong as anything should go wrong it would spell death for him.
After making sure he closed the door.
He tiptoed towards Abigail slowly and silently as he could not dare to make any noise.
Soon he got to Abigail who was sleeping soundly. The figure was trying its best not to make any sort of noise no matter how little it was.
Getting to Abigail he removed something under the clothes he was wearing.
It was a long knife that was glittering in the dark.
The figure raised the Knife and aimed at Abigail’s chest as she was lying on her back and thrust the knife forward.
When the knife was about an inch away from Abigail’s chest. Abigail’s eyes suddenly flung open and she rolled to the other side of the bed.
Seeing this the figure followed and thrust the knife forward again towards the side Abigail rolled to.
But Abigail’s reaction was quite quick so she rolled to the other side again.
Seeing his acting failed twice the figure gave up and ran toward the door.
The figure didn’t completely close the door and left a small room for escaping.
But Abigail was someone not to be trifled with and immediately released her murderous aura.
Immediately the temperature in the room rose to its highest peak and the figure was suffocated.
But the figure moved stubbornly to
the door.
But Abigail wasn’t slow either and immediately appeared in front of the figure and sent him flying with a kick.
The figure was sent flying and hit the walk of the room.
Immediately the figure stood up and took a stance. It wanted to fight Abigail.
Abigail on seeing this smiled. How stupid was this figure trying to fight her?
Hadn’t it known that once it should fail it was doomed to be caught?
If she had been a bit slower in her reaction she would have been stabbed.
Though she would be injured. The stab of the knife might not kill her but where the figure was aiming for was her heart. Being strong didn’t mean she was immortal. If the figure had been successful in its assassination attempt she would have died.
Thinking of this anger surged up in her heart and her murderous intent which she retracted was released again.
The figure became suffocated on the spot immediately after the murderous intent was released. He knew his destiny was death. There was no way to avoid that. Since he had failed in the assassination he was destined to die.
Abigail appeared before the figure gripped his neck and threw the figure across the room.
The figure flew across the room like a deflated ball hitting the wall.
Abigail appeared before the figure and ripped off the mask on its face. Seeing the face of the figure a smirk appeared on her face.
It was the man she had asked about the incident when she arrived at the pack. She didn’t think much about it but the man had made himself obvious and tried to assassinate her. Did he think she was an easy kill?
She wanted to kill the man but she had to make him confess his crimes first and that wasn’t her job it was her brother’s job.
But first, she was going to trash the hell out of the figure. Thinking of this she cracked her knuckles while looking at the figure.
The figure sat on the floor with its back to the wall looking at Abigail. He had regretted thinking of the assassination in the first place. He didn’t know Abigail was this dangerous. Though he had heard about her feats and position in the pack. He didn’t think much of it.
He was a famous assassin in the human world and had much blood on his hands. Also, he had never failed any assignment.
He didn’t know how he had failed this one. The person in front of him was just too strong that he didn’t know how he became like this.
All he could remember was failing on the first and second attempts.
Ten minutes later.
The figure’s face was swollen. He was beaten blue-black by Abigail who had unleashed her rage on him.
Right now he was only feeling a stinging sensation and was numb to pain.
Abigail, who had taken ten minutes to beat up the man to her satisfaction, looked at the man’s swollen face and smiled.
All the frustration she was feeling had vanished into thin air and she was feeling rather comfortable.
She could not care how the figure had gotten access to her room right now.
Dragging the figure by the collar she walked out of the room.
Getting outside she walked toward Jefferson’s room which was right beside her room. He was sure that he would have heard the commotion coming from her room but why didn’t he come to check? Though there was soundproofing in both rooms she was sure he would have heard with his super hearing.
Getting to Jefferson’s door she could hear faint moans of Jefferson and DeLorna.
No wonder he didn’t hear the sound coming from her room. It turned out that he was making out with his mate.
Thinking of this a smile appeared on Abigail’s mouth. She knew that her brother wouldn’t sleep with anyone except his mate so she had a perfect plan for him to fall into her trap.
It wasn’t that she didn’t like Jefferson but she hated his mate. She too didn’t know why. or maybe because her parents were killed by hunters.
She couldn’t just say. Anyway, that wasn’t the reason she was here so she knocked gently on the door as she didn’t want to barge into the room.
After waiting for about a minute she knocked on the door again but this time it was louder than the first.
She could hear the groaning of the two from where she stood as a smirk appeared in the corner of her mouth.
