DeLorna smiled as she hugged her mother tightly, not wanting to leave her.
“Take care daughter,” smiled as she watched her daughter hop into the car with Jefferson.
Though she didn’t want her to leave she had no choice but to allow her to leave as she was convinced.
She watched as the car drove off into the distance. A drop of tears fell off her eyes. She hoped her daughter would come to see her as she promised.
After the car disappeared in the distance sighed and went back into the mansion. She was finally having peace of mind after seeing her daughter.
Getting inside she went into her room and lay on the bed. The heavy stone in her heart had finally been removed as she fell asleep as soon as she lay on the bed.

Inside the car, DeLorna looked at Jefferson and smiled. Though she was happy she still felt quite unhappy.
“Why have you refused to let us stay for the night?” DeLorna asked.
“I need to go back to the pack. I can feel something is wrong,” Jefferson replied, frowning slightly.
“I wouldn’t be returning with you right now.” He continued.
“Why?” DeLorna frowned.
“There’s a matter I need to settle at the pack,” Jefferson lied. Though he lied, deep down he didn’t feel guilty as he could feel he wasn’t lying.
He was feeling uncomfortable and the urge to hurry back to the pack was becoming stronger. That was why he had declined DeLorna’s mother’s invitation to spend the night at the mansion and insisted on returning to the pack.
He knew DeLorna might not want to believe him if he told her what he was feeling so he felt lying to her was the best option.
“Stop the car,” Jefferson suddenly said to the driver.
Immediately the driver stopped the car and Jefferson got out of the car.
“What are you doing?” DeLorna asked with a panicked expression.
Jefferson smiled seeing DeLorna’s panicked expression. “Don’t worry, I’m just trying to hurry back to the pack.” He smiled.
DeLorna wanted to say something but she kept shut. It was night anyway. Also if Jefferson transformed no one would see him as where they were was a little bit secluded.
“Don’t worry all is fine,” Jefferson smiled.
DeLorna nodded and watched as Jefferson transformed into his lycanthrope form.
DeLorna watched as the huge figure of Jefferson disappeared. She sighed as she watched his figure disappear.
Walking back into the car the driver started the car and resumed the journey.
**
Jefferson sped through the woods as fast as he could. The feeling of having the winds feel against his pale body was good but he couldn’t enjoy the feeling.
***
Some minutes later he reached the pack. Getting to the pack he noticed the atmosphere in the air was rather unusual as the guards had stern expressions on their faces.
He ignored them and sped to his room. After changing into a new set of clothes he came out of his room and walked around.
“Alpha, the four leaders of the other pack came to look for you while you were away.” A guard approached Jefferson and bowed to him before saying.
Immediately Jefferson frowned as he wondered why they were looking for him.
Suddenly he remembered leaving the meeting abruptly some months ago without saying goodbye or telling them the reason for his sudden departure.
Everything had been so clumsy that he forgot about them. So it was they who made him feel uncomfortable the whole time.
“Did they state their reason for looking for me,” Jefferson frowned.
“No, they didn’t, they just said they came to remind you of the meeting today that you shouldn’t miss since you missed the last one,” The guard replied.
Hearing the guard’s words Jefferson smiled wryly. He knew they were unhappy with him abruptly leaving the last meeting. But he wasn’t concerned at all.
“You can go now,” Jefferson said to the guard waving his hands as the guard
stood up and walked away.
Immediately the guard went away Jefferson smiled as a smirk appeared on the corner of his lips.
Jefferson disappeared heading to the location where the meeting would take place. The location where the meeting would take place was not too far from the pack so in a matter of minutes he was already there.
Getting there, he met the four pack leaders waiting for him to arrive.
“Where in hell were you? We’ve been waiting for you.” one of the pack leaders, a chubby-looking man said. “I’ve been out with my mate so I don’t owe you any explanation,” Jefferson replied walking to the empty chair.
“Why the hell did you leave abruptly last time? You didn’t even tell us why.” Another of the pack leaders asked if he was a tall muscular man sitting at the far end of the room.
Jeffrey glanced at them before sighing. “My mate was in trouble the last time so I was in a hurry to save her….”
“Wait, so you found your mates and you never told us,” one of the men clad in blue with a round face cut off Jefferson.
“Yeah, I found my mate. Do you have any problem with it?” Jefferson frowned as he knew that they didn’t want him to find his mate because if he did and mates with her he would become stronger.
“You shouldn’t get angry, he was inky surprised.” The chubby-looking man said with a smile.
Jefferson smiled wryly as he knew he had overreacted just now but he wasn’t going to apologize. He was a proud being and wouldn’t apologize for anything. The only one who could make him apologize was either his mate or his sister.
“Let’s start,” The pack leader clad in white who had yet to talk all this while smiling a little bit.
Jefferson smiled as he sat on the empty seat.
Immediately the atmosphere in the air became tense as they looked at themselves.
