DeLorna looked terrified when she heard the gunshot and shivered on the spot. She didn’t know what to do as she could only watch as Jefferson and Abigail took a fighting stance.
Soon rustling of leaves was heard and the trees swayed as the wind blew gently.
Suddenly some human figures emerged from the trees and surrounded the three of them.
Seeing this Jefferson and Abigail loosened their guard and looked at the hunters carelessly.
“I knew you would come once the news got to you.” A husky voice suddenly said and a tall but muscular figure emerged from the trees.
“I see you’ve captured another human to be used as your playing thing.” The figure continued.
“My brother does no such thing,” Abigail growled in anger hearing the words of the man.
“Don’t worry I’ll study you well once you are captured.” The man said licking his lips while glancing at Abigail’s hot body as she was wearing pajamas at that moment.
“Well that’s if you’ll live long enough to be able to do that,” Abigail smirked.
During all this while Jefferson had ignored all the hunters and was trying to comfort his mate.
After making sure he calmed DeLorna down he stood up and looked at the hunters who had surrounded them.
“Sis, let’s bet.” He smirked.
“On what?” Abigail replied.
“That I’ll kill more than you,” Jefferson replied.
“There are only ten people here so how do you want to kill more than me when I am not going to allow you to enjoy the fun alone,” Abigail smirked.
“Let’s see then,” Jefferson smirked.
It seemed like their conversation had angered the hunter who seemed to head the other hunters who were present at the moment as he angrily asked his men to shoot them to death.
Seeing this Jefferson and Abigail smiled wickedly and disappeared.
“Where are they?” The hunters said pointing at DeLorna who was now shivering in fear as she was the only one left alone.
DeLorna wondered if she came here to be tortured for a sin she didn’t commit.
Ever since she stepped into the woods she had been scared.
Now her mate and his sister had suddenly disappeared mysteriously leaving her with only some group of men who pointed guns at her.
Suddenly a huge figure appeared and grabbed DeLorna before the hunters could react.
“Where the hell are you? Come out if. You are brave,” The leader of the hunters looking around.
Suddenly a figure appeared and grabbed one of the hunters and disappeared with him.
Some minutes later screams of the hunter were heard as it fell silent after some minutes.
The hunters shivered to hear the shout of their comrades.
The two supernatural beings they came in contact with this night were terrifying.
They had never come across one as powerful as Jefferson and Abigail.
Suddenly two huge figures walked out of the darkness.
One was Jefferson in his lycanthrope form.
While the other was Abigail in her form.
Her form was a huge brown wolf standing on its hind legs.
The aura they were emitting was corrosive as it left the hunters breathless that they forgot to turn around and run away.
Immediately the two huge figures looked at themselves and attacked the hunters who were now defenseless like a wolf attacking a flock of sheep.
Soon cries of the hunters were heard as they were ripped apart mercilessly by the two.
DeLorna watched in horror as the two ripped off the hunters.
She couldn’t withstand it and puked right away while looking away from the gruesome scene.
Some minutes later the two were done with the massacre. They seemed to have forgotten about the head of the hunters who were standing in the distance and were watching them.
The head of the hunters couldn’t believe his eyes as he saw his men ripped apart by the two creatures. He couldn’t help but vow inwardly to take revenge.
Immediately he brought out his pistol and aimed at the head of Jefferson in his lycanthrope form.
DeLorna who was still looking at Jefferson suddenly saw the last of the hunters who had not been killed aiming at him.
Immediately she stood from where she was sitting shouting.
“Watch out Jefferson!” She yelled.
She couldn’t allow the bullet to meet him as she was sure it would already be mixed with wolfsbane. Though she didn’t know much, all she was sure was that he wouldn’t heal fast if the bullet hit him.
Without thinking twice she jumped in front of Jefferson and received the bullets on her left shoulder.
Immediately the bullet met Jefferson who had been warned by his mate and was ready to counter the gunshot suddenly howled loudly.
His mate had been shot.
Before he could move his sister disappeared and appeared with the head of the hunter who had just shot.
Seeing this he calmed and immediately transformed back into his normal self as he held DeLorna in his hands while ripping a part of her clothes off using it to stop the bleeding after he removed the bullet.
Though the process was very painful for DeLorna it was also painful for him as he had to touch the bullet which was mixed with wolfsbane.
DeLorna was a human and would feel a lot of pain. She had already lost too much blood.
“I told you not to bring her along,” Abigail fumed seeing the situation.
“Sis she just saved me from being injured and that’s all you have to say,” Jefferson sighed.
Jefferson didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at his sister’s statement.
She too had already transformed back to her human form.
DeLorna who was lying on the floor weakly after having the bullet removed by Jason felt her consciousness fading away.
She had lost too much blood. So she was sure she would faint soon which happened to be true cause not long after she thought about it her consciousness faded as she entered the land of slumber.
