DeLorna frowned hearing the reply of the strange figure that barged into the room.
“Who are you?” She asked again.
“As I have always said. Humans are brainless and spineless Individuals,” the figure replied walking closer to DeLorna.
DeLorna sat on the bed confused. She wondered what she had done to offend the figure. Though she was sure the figure was a female. She tried to make out the figure’s features but it was too dark and she couldn’t see anything.
“Who do you think you are? Coming into my brother’s life and claiming you are his mate.” The figure continued after some time.
Unknown to DeLorna the figure was only a few meters away from her.
Immediately DeLorna understood all that was happening. The figure she couldn’t make out its features was Jefferson’s sister. But she didn’t know if she was his elder or younger sister. Also, he never mentioned having a sister or anything.
“It was your brother who came into my life himself and told him I was his mate,” DeLorna replied boldly.
Abigail, who was sleeping, suddenly opened her eyes not long after her brother left the room. She had pretended to be asleep so he would leave.
Standing up from the bed she entered the washroom and washed off the makeup on her face.
After washing off the makeup on her face she sat on the bed and sighed.
Suddenly she remembered her brother said he had found his mate. Though she wasn’t sure where she was she had a feeling she would be in no other place than his room.
Immediately she stood up and exited her room.
Getting to the door of her brother’s room she met two guards at the door who tried to stop her from entering.
“What the hell are you trying to do? Preventing me from entering my brother’s room?” Abigail frowned.
“We are sorry ma. But that’s the order the Alpha gave us before he left.” One of the guards said and bowed.
Their reply made Abigail angry. What the hell were they thinking? Preventing her from going into her brother’s room because a measly human was inside.
Immediately sent a punch to one of the guards and gave a sweeping kick to the other. The guards passed out immediately after the blow and the kick landed on them.
Her actions were so fast and quick that the guards didn’t have time to react. Though Abigail was a woman she was not to be underestimated. She had once led the pack before her brother came of age so she was skilled in fighting. She had once led the pack on a war, slaughtering her way through the battlefield mercilessly not caring who was who. She earned the nickname red demon at that time.
But ever since Jefferson took over she had left all those behinds and never killed again. Her corrosive aura had disappeared altogether. She guessed it was because the guards had the mind to defile her order.
Seeing the guards falling to the ground unconscious she smiled and walked into the room.
Getting into the room she was a figure sitting on the bed with its legs crossed. Even though the switch was off she was able to see clearly in the dark and was able to make out the features of the figure sitting on the bed.
“She looks pretty.” She muttered and walked towards the figure while saying something.
As she had guessed the figure was quite dumb.
But the last reply she got from the figure made her a little bit surprised.
She wasn’t angry at the reply of the human but was rather amused.
“You have no place in this pack. It would be better if you go back to the human territory and live as a human. I would pretend nothing happened between us,” Abigail said after hearing her reply.
Immediately DeLorna heard the figure’s reply, she was shocked.
“Why do you say that it is because I’m a human?” DeLorna asked.
She had heard the stories that some supernatural creatures hate humans and would do anything to get rid of them. She was quite sure the figure talking to her was still amongst those that hated human
Immediately Abigail heard DeLorna’s reply, and she smiled.
“It seems like you are not dumb all along. Yeah, it’s because you are a human. You deserve no place beside my brother even if you are his mate. Don’t you know he’s cursed?” She said,
“Cursed!” DeLorna gasped.
She had also heard stories about supernatural creatures cursed by the moon goddess for different reasons. She wondered if her mate was cursed. Though she wasn’t sure if the figure was lying or not.
“Yeah, he’s cursed. Cursed never to find his mate,” Abigail said before DeLorna could reply.
Hearing the figure’s reply DeLorna sighed. Though she didn’t know where the figure was she was sure it was near to her.
“He’s my mate and I would never leave him because of a measly curse,” DeLorna replied, gritting her teeth. Though she knew nothing much about the curses she still made this decision.
She wished she had listened more attentively when her friends were discussing it or read deeper when they were reading about it.
Immediately after she replied a murderous intent suddenly filled the air. The intent was so thick that it suffocated DeLorna’s breathing.
DeLorna’s reply had made Abigail angry that she didn’t know when she released her murderous intent.
She started advancing towards DeLorna while the murderous intent emitted from her was reduced in the slightest.
“Sis, don’t!” A voice suddenly yelled as the switch of the room was turned on, lightning up everywhere.
Immediately the murderous intent emitting from Abigail disappeared as a smile appeared on her face.
“Jeff you are back,” Abigail smiled, turning to Jefferson who had entered the room. she knew from the beginning it was him as there was no one apart from him that was able to withstand her murderous intent and was even able to talk freely.
