She travelled for days and when she arrived in the werewolf territory, Vincent was at the entrance of her house at the southern pack. She came close and he bowed.
“Where is my daughter?” She asked immediately.
He did not rise. He dared not to.
“We just woke up one morning and she was gone, your Majesty. No one saw her since then.” Vincent explained.
Alexia did not want to waste her energy on the man. He had been too loyal to betray her now. She walked past Vincent and headed inside the house and when she got inside, everything was like it was before she left. She went into Kiara’s room and opened her closet but her clothes were still there, all of them.
Alexia left the girl’s room and went to hers. She freshened up and wore another black flowing dress, her usual style. She summoned Vincent and made him follow her to the gammas. She got to the gammas house and they were training when she got inside. The head gamma saw her and came to where she was and bowed.
“Where is my daughter?” She asked.
“She has not been here your Majesty.” The man said.
“Did she have any lovers while she was here?” She asked again.
The man shook her head.
“No, your Majesty. None.”
She turned around swiftly and walked out of the house. She got back to her house and summoned all the gammas.
“Go into the packs. Tear them apart and find my daughter.” She said to all of them.
They went. They searched every nook and cranny of the territory and packs but they found nothing. They came back and told Alexia. She was infuriated but she did not show her emotions. Certainly now, Kiara was not at the territory and not in the packs either. Alexia was worried. She had to hurry up and save her daughter. She knew who would help her locate Kiara. Amanda.
Alexia quickly started another journey to the witches’ territory. She arrived after some days and Amanda and Claire received her warmly. She spent a night with them and the next morning, Alexia and Amanda went out of the house. The environment was large and extremely beautiful. They walked behind Amanda’s house and into the garden. They were quiet and Alexia did not like it, she had no time.
“My daughter is missing,” Alexia spoke up.
Amanda turned to face her swiftly, she did not know Alexia had a daughter. Alexia had never told her or spoken about having a child.
“You have a child?” Amanda asked in shock.
Alexia nodded her head. She looked at Amanda and for the first time, Amanda could see how tired Alexia looked.
“I did not know. But I have not noticed any strange presence in the kingdom either.” Amanda spoke.
Alexia sighed deeply and her head dropped. She looked at Amanda again.
“Could you at least take a look? Know where she is and tell me.” Alexia’s voice sounded pleading.
“Sure!” Amanda confirmed.
Amanda then took Alexia’s palm into hers and started running her fingers around it. She closed her eyes and started chanting her spells. The connection began to form and the images flooded in. she could see the girl. She looked so much like Alexia. The girl was in a room and she was sleeping. The room looked large and spacious, and the door opened then Amanda could not see anything else. It was pure darkness. Amanda tried again, and the connection began to form again but it bounced. Amanda could only see darkness again, it was like the person she was with did not want her to see the girl again. She tried again but she passed out.
Alexia was watching the woman and her reactions and the moment Amanda knotted her brows, Alexia knew something was up, she called the woman’s name but Amanda started painting, heavily. Alexia wanted to jerk the woman awake but Amanda fell. Alexia knelt down and took the woman’s face into her hands, then she started calling for help. A servant came and helped Alexia carry Amanda to her room. She sat on the bed where Amanda lay but the servant told her not to worry, Amanda was going to wake up late in the evening. Alexia left her room and slept off.
When Alexia woke up again at night, she walked to Amanda’s room. When she got inside, the woman was sitting on the bed. She looked tired and stressed out. Alexia walked to where she sat and she too sat down, she smiled at the woman.
“How are you feeling now?” Alexia inquired.
“I feel okay. I just got bounced too hard.” Amanda explained.
Alexia knotted her brows. She did not understand the word “bounce”. Amanda could see the confusion and curiosity on Alexia’s face.
“I saw her.” Amanda began.
Alexia got curious and unconsciously shifted closer to Amanda.
“Where is she? Is she safe?” Amanda asked quickly.
She had a lot of questions to ask but she started crying. It was the joy that she would finally find her daughter. Amanda saw Alexia’s reactions and she felt so bad for her friend, she wished she could do more to help. But she had to dash Alexia’s hopes.
“I do not know Alexia.” Amanda’s voice was soft and gentle.
Alexia’s brows knotted.
“What do you mean by you don’t know? You said you saw her.” Alexia asked.
Alexia could feel her heart squeeze.
“I saw her Alexia but she was just alone in a room, sleeping. Another person went into the room but I could not see the person. That is when the connection bounced. I’m sorry.” Amanda explained.
“So, she is in danger?” Alexia asked slowly.
“I can’t say for sure. But let’s go to Harriet, she will help.” Amanda said.
Amanda knew Harriet would help. She gave Alexia some calming words and told her to get some sleep. Alexia left Amanda’s room with tears in her eyes, she went into her room and locked the door and window and lay on the bed, hugged a pillow and cried.
