“Stop being a scared cat.”
She whispered at him and turned around but she was blocked. A young girl blocked her. She did not hear anyone walking and she shrieked when she turned around and suddenly saw the girl.
“What are you doing here?”
The girl asked angrily. She wasn’t holding a weapon but Alexia knew their weapon, magic. And the girl looked furious she would use it now. Lucian came in front of Alexia and she stood behind him.
“I am looking for your Queen. I am the lycan prince, Lucian and she…”
Lucian pointed behind him to Alexia.
“She is my wife and ruler of the four werewolf packs.”
The girl’s furious look seemed to light up. She smiled and nodded her head.
“Alexia.”
The girl called out to Alexia and she came out and stood beside Lucian. The young girl smiled again.
“My mother told me about you. A wise and powerful woman.”
Both women smiled at each other. The young girl made a motion for both Lucian and Alexia to follow her, and they did. They walked for a very long time and they finally got to the big mansion. The young girl led them in. Alexia looked around and she could not have enough of the view. A large space with a bright chandelier and long stairs. The floor looked like marble and it was sparkling. The young girl told them to wait there and she went up the stairs. Alexia looked around, observing the place. She thought the witches’ territory would be a scary place, an enchanted forest or a dark place to live. She never imagined it to be that beautiful.
When the girl came down the stairs after a long while, she was coming down with another woman and Alexia could recognize her. She looked beautiful with her large brown eyes, her long dark eyelashes, her pointed nose and her cute little lips. She was wearing a white gown with a white cloak and a crown on her head. The woman came down and smiled at Alexia and pulled Alexia in for a hug. They broke the hug after a long while and the woman took Lucian’s hand for a shake. After the shake with Lucian, she turned to Alexia.
“I am happy you finally came, Alexia.”
The woman said and smiled.
“I had to, Amanda.”
Alexia smiled back at the witch queen.
“Forgive my manners, come to the dining table, food is about to be served.”
The three of them walked to the dining room and sat down. Dinner was served soon and they started eating. They ate in silence. When dinner was over, the witch queen sat back. The room was silent for a while.
“So Alexia, what brought you here?”
The witch queen broke the silence. Alexia smiled at her.
“I need a little favour from you, Amanda… There’s going to be a war at the lycan clan and my mate here has to kill his father. Marius, the lycan king.”
The witch queen’s eyes darted from Lucian and Alexia. She did not speak, though she had a million questions to ask. Alexia continued.
“We need you to look into the future and see if he will succeed.”
She concluded. The witch queen stood up and told them to follow her, and they did. She took them to the large space and they stood there in silence, looking at each other.
“Whose palm am I using?”
The witch queen broke the silence and Alexia took Lucian’s palm and drew it closer to the witch queen. Amanda took the large palm in the little one and sighed deeply, closing her eyes, she started to run her fingers all over Lucian’s palm, chanting strange words. A spell. The connection didn’t take long to complete and she could see the images. A headless lycan, another headless lycan, a group of chanting Lycans. And the connection broke.
Amanda opened her eyes and let go of Lucian’s palm, she turned to Alexia.
“He will.”
Alexia exhaled, releasing a breath she didn’t know she was holding. She smiled at Amanda and thanked her. Amanda smiled back.
“Certainly, you both will stay. Won’t you?”
Amanda asked. Alexia said they would and Amanda instructed the servants to prepare a room. The servants came back a while later, the room was ready and Amanda led both of them up to the long, beautiful stairs. She opened the door to their room and Alexia and Lucian went inside. It was spacious and comfortable and beautiful. The witch queen came in too.
“You both should enjoy your night.”
Amanda said.
Alexia walked up to the witch queen and took Amanda’s hands in hers. Both of them smiled at each other.
“Thank you, Amanda. For this, we will be leaving early tomorrow. We might not have the chance to say our goodbyes tomorrow so goodbye.” Alexia spoke.
The witch queen smiled and told them to be careful on their way. She also assured them that they are welcome at any time. She left after that and Alexia went to the bathroom to take a long bath. Lucian went in after her and when he came out. They slept off.
The next day, Alexia sat on Lucian’s back and he ran back to the werewolf’s territory. They arrived at night and Lucian had to stay. He went back to the lycan clan early the next day. When he arrived at the clan, his father was furious. Not at him but at the Lycans.
It appears that while Lucian was away, Marius had a meeting with the council of elders. There, they informed the lycan king about the rising war. As expected, the king was furious. He left the meeting room in anger and went in search of Lucian, but could not find him. Eliza knew that the elders had told Marius about the war. Marius became furious and increased the workload of the Lycans. He was ruthless.
Immediately Lucian arrived, the lycan king summoned him. Not into the throne room as usual but into his room.
