CHAPTER 19

Book:THE REBIRTH LUNA: Her Oppression Published:2024-6-2

The woman in the black cloak walked over to where the babies laid in their cots and tried to carry them but a sharp rush of electrical shock ran over her body and she jumped back quickly. Truly, the witch queen had cast a protective barrier on the babies. But the woman had another Idea. She went out of the house and started chanting a spell. Suddenly, the house was on fire. If she can’t get through the barrier, the fire would burn it together with the children. No one will save them.
The woman turned around and walked away satisfied.

ESMERALDA’S POV
When the Alpha female left for the southern territory, Esmeralda decided to stay with the twins. She had told the woman a lot and she regretted it. She knew the woman will strike at any minute. She wanted to at least protect the twins. That was the least she could do for Alexia. When she looked into Alexia’s past, she knew then that the woman was only a broken villain.
She was sitting on the bed with Gladys in her arms when she walked in and requested the children. She knew she would come for them but she was a witch queen and the woman was only but an omega wolf. The weakest breed of werewolves.
The woman dared to challenge her. She wanted to teach her a little lesson but when she saw the woman chanting a spell, she knew what it meant. Her daughter was dead. The woman threw her off guard and she hit her back to the wall before falling to the ground. She knew it was over. The woman took her daughter’s powers and killed her, and now she was going to kill her too. And she did.

Alexia was still trying to figure out how to get the Eastern pack to succumb to her rule when another messenger from the northern territory arrived.
She was in the meeting with the Betas when he arrived and said it was urgent. With her permission, the messenger was ushered in and demanded to speak with her in private. She rose and they left, with her leading the way. She got to the hallway and stopped without turning around.
“Speak.” She commanded.
“It’s a message from Zoe, the female Beta. Your house at the northern pack was burnt to ashes.” Alexia turned around swiftly. Her eyes went around with shock.
“By who?” She tried to control her voice but it came out shaky. She had a lot of memories in that house. That was the house she got married into, the house she knew all her life. Damian’s memories lived in that house.
“No one. It went up in flames suddenly.”
“I hope the twins are safe.” She feared hearing that her babies were dead. The messenger’s hesitation to answer her was proof that there was something wrong. But he finally spoke.
“We could only save Kiara. I’m sorry.” Her heart sank into her stomach. She couldn’t control herself anymore. She released a loud shriek and fell to her knees, tears blurring her sight. Everyone in the meeting came out to know why she shrieked. The messenger told everyone and gasps went everywhere. She rose from her knees and walked away to her room.
She got into her room and sat on the bed. Tears flowed freely on her face now. She wondered who could be doing such a thing to her. They have gotten the wrong woman. Her name was Alexia, ruler of the four werewolf territories and packs, the only Alpha female. She swore to herself to find that person and make them pay. Dearly.
She went out to continue with the meeting she was having. She knew it was all the Eastern pack’s doings. And they will pay for it. She sent a messenger back to Zoe with a message too. Kiara should be brought to her and she should send strong gammas with her. She needed them for the war.
Her daughter and the gammas arrived two days later and she announced that they will be going to invade the Eastern pack the next day, she appointed Vincent as the leader. She will not be going but they were to be ruthless with the werewolves. Anyone who refuses to accept her rule should be killed.
The gammas left the next day and Alexia was left to mourn her child alone. She locked herself up in her room and wore black dresses. She could not eat and she was losing weight greatly. Three days after the gammas left, a messenger came to report the war to her. Vincent had sent him. She was to run. The Eastern werewolves had overpowered them and killed a great number, they were heading to the southern territory, they were coming for her and she had to take her baby and run.
She did. She took her baby and fled. She ran into the woods and she was gone.
The Eastern pack came to the southern territory like Vincent said but didn’t meet Alexia. Their eyes were bloodshot and they looked hypnotized. Like under the influence of something. When they didn’t find Alexia, they left. Back to their territory.
____________
The woman in the black cloak stood in the hallway of the Alpha’s house in the Eastern territory. Her cloak over her and making her invisible. The Eastern werewolves came back without Alexia. She had them spellbound to get Alexia and bring her to the territory. But they failed. She cursed under her breath. The sly woman had left. She was infuriated at the outcome of things.
She went to the only place she knew the woman will be. The northern territory. She arrived and there was no sight of her. She moved freely among the werewolves and got a bit of gossip. Alexia fled and no one knew where she was. The piece of information was useless.
______________
Alexia ran into the woods running with her baby. She couldn’t transform. The baby was not mature enough to ride her. She kept running till she was out of the werewolf’s territory.
She ran to the Lycans’ territory. She knew the Lycan prince. Lucian. A cold man. His father ruled the Lycan clan with an iron fist. A ruthless king. She had always disliked him and she would not like to owe him a favour. She was going to Lucian for help. Though he was cold and emotionless, she could handle him. It will be better with him.
