*** ESMERALDA’S P. O. V ***
She opened the door quietly and tiptoed into Alexia’s room. She lay peacefully on her bed sleeping when the witch came in that she didn’t notice her. She walked in with a tray of food and kept it on the table at the corner of the bed. She then walked over to where Alexia slept and took her wrist, it was hot. She touched her body and it was equally hot. She will heal her when she was done with what she came to do.
She took her wrist again and opened her palm. Running her fingers over Alexia’s palm, the witch started with her spell. She was trying to build a connection. Not to see her future for she already knew what the Alpha female’s future held. She was trying to connect to Alexia’s past.
She lied to the woman, not completely a lie but she didn’t tell her the truth either. She didn’t just see people’s futures, she saw their past too. She also can heal and do a host of other magic. And she is also the witch Queen. Esmeralda was not her name either.
The spell finally worked and she connected to Alexia’s past. She closed her eyes and the images began to flow. She knotted her brows, this is not what she was told. They had actually killed her in her past life, unjustly, just to be together. She saw all the other things she had done before and after her rebirth before she broke the connection.
What happened before Alexia’s rebirth wasn’t what the witch was told. The witch looked at Alexia’s face. She was still sound asleep. She rubbed her palm on Alexia’s cheek sweetly.
“Poor child.” She whispered. She held her wrists again and started casting another spell. The witch began to glow in the dark room, a green light. And when the light was bright enough, she transferred it to Alexia.
“She should be fine by tomorrow.” With that, the witch rose and left.

Alexia returned to the southern territory barely three months after the birth of the twins. She trusted them in Zoe’s care. Zoe herself was a mother and she knew that the Beta female will do a great job with the twins. She arrived at the southern territory and she got the news that the west pack was divided.
The Eastern territory sent a message that they were going to rebel against her. They accused her of killing Mikel to take over the rule and they refused to be ruled by her. A lot of werewolves from the west pack joined the Eastern rebellion.
She knew this will happen. She knew a pack will rebel against her and that’s why she had to go hard on the packs. If one pack rebelled, then they will be wiped out off the surface of the earth.
That was not all. It seemed it was a woman who was instigating both packs to rebel. A woman in a black cloak. She came to the southern territory too and spoke with Vincent, trying to make him see reasons to rebel against Alexia’s rule but he refused. He had been loyal to Richard all his life and he intended to be loyal to the next ruler too.
Alexia sent spies into the Eastern territory to see how prepared they were for the rebel. And the spies came back with news. The Eastern pack woods and territory were heavily guarded. The greater ratio of the west pack that wanted rebellion was there in the Eastern pack too. But she stood a chance, she stood a chance of attacking and winning because she had a greater number of gammas.
She asked the southern gammas to prepare to invade the Eastern pack and kill whoever refuses to bow to her rule. She was the only ruler of the four packs and anyone who stood against her will go down.

The black cloak hid her presence when she walked into the northern territory. She moved among the werewolves freely and unnoticed until she got to the Alpha female’s house. Alexia wasn’t there and she the woman knew it. But she wasn’t there for Alexia. She was there for the twins.
She walked into the house and no one could see her. She was like the wind, invisible. She was hoping the only person who could see her wasn’t there.
Octavia.
The old but young-looking witch Queen.
She walked through the house and stopped where she could hear the cry of a baby. She opened the door and went inside, she saw the witch Queen sitting on the bed with one of the babies in her hands. Octavia saw her and kept the baby back in her cot and stood up swiftly.
“You lied to me. You told me she wanted to kill you with just no cause.” The witch Queen whispered angrily. The whisper sounded like a hissing snake.
“The children, Hand them over.” The woman in the black cloak demanded. Her voice was calm.
“You’ll never have them. I’ve kept a protective barrier on them and they are untouchable.” The witch Queen hissed back at the woman angrily.
“I shall not repeat myself, Octavia. Hand over the babies.”
“Ungrateful weak omega werewolf. How dare you? Is this how you want to repay me? By going against me?.”
“You are as weak as I am, Octavia.” The witch Queen scoffed mockingly at her and then started to chant her spells. Octavia was surprised when the woman started chanting spells too. She was not a witch, she wasn’t supposed to chant spells unless.
The realization hit the witch Queen and she fastened her chanting. Before she was done with the spell, a strong power hit her and she fell to the other side of the room. The woman in the black cloak walked over to where she lay and started chanting another spell. In no time at all, the witch queen lay lifelessly on the floor.
