She arrived at the Lycan clan after four days and it was dusk, in a sorry state. She was tired and almost collapsing. She managed to get to the prince’s house. He didn’t live with his father. He was rebellious and his father disliked him, but he was the only child. She got into the house and he was there. Sitting idly around, playing with a piano. Learning it perhaps but she was less concerned about the piano.
He looked up at his intruder and his expression changed. He looked rather shocked to see her at his house, in such a pitiful state and with a baby, he didn’t remember hearing about her pregnancy or birth. He knew her, Alexia. The only female who ruled the four werewolf territories. How she got to such a high position, he didn’t know but he admired her courage and strength and determination. He quickly recollected his thoughts and welcomed her warmly.
” Alexia! Welcome to my home. Ruler of the four werewolf territories.” He took her hand and kissed it. She responded coldly and sat on a nearby chair. He called on his servants and they came and collected the baby from her and took the baby inside. She looked too tired and dirty and he ordered other servants to run her a bath and prepare a meal for her. She was shown to a room and she freshened up and wore clean clothes and went out for dinner.
He was already sitting when she arrived and after she sat down, they began to eat. They ate in silence and when dinner was over, the servants cleared the table. The duo still sat in silence.
“I need your help.” She spoke up. He raised his head and their eyes met. She shuddered inwardly when she saw his eyes. A deep dark black. Like a bottomless pit. He asked her what she wanted and she told him she was losing her territory and respect. A strange woman was instigating her packs against her. She told him everything. Every little detail. She shredded a tear once in a while during her narration.
He walked over to where she sat and offered her a hand on her shoulder, In a bid to comfort her. He told her he was going to help her. She was extremely happy and promised to do anything for him. The man only scoffed at her and told her she owed her one. Of course, she did.
But she had one request of him. She didn’t want his father to know she was there and also striking a deal with him. The man laughed for a long time and when he finally stopped, he promised her not to tell his father.
He told her to go to bed and promised to visit the werewolf territory the next day. She did, she checked on her daughter and then she went to bed and slept deeply. She was relieved and tired. Relieved by the fact that the Lycan prince had agreed to help her. She had been running for days and she was tired.
The next day, the Lycan prince did as he promised her. He went to the werewolf’s territories. He knew something was wrong the moment he stepped into it. He turned around and left, back to his clan. Whoever it was wanted Alexia and he was going to give her to them.
He came back home and told her of his plans. She will be bait. He will lure whoever it was out with her. Alexia agreed. She didn’t like it. But she had no choice, she wanted to get her leadership back and it was the only way.
The next day, they both left for the werewolf’s territory. And when they arrived, Alexia went to the southern territory and to her house. She met Vincent and he looked older than he was, the whole thing was stressing everyone. He told her that the Eastern pack were still guarding their territory, and even Brian from the west territory had joined them. She told Vincent not to worry, she had brought help. The man didn’t look convinced but he nodded his head.
That night, Lucian asked Alexia to go for a run in the woods. She declined, it was too dangerous but he insisted and assured her that he will be following her. She transformed at the entrance of the woods and started running. She didn’t enjoy it. The gushing wind on her face was no longer enjoyable. She came to a halt when she sensed it. The woman was there, right there with her in the woods. Hertha stood still. She didn’t want to show her fears to this woman.
Hertha heard someone whistling. An eerie kind of whistling. It started far off and it was coming closer. Hertha transformed and Alexia stood up. The whistling was coming closer but she saw no one, but there was whistling. The whistling stopped in front of Alexia, some feet away from her. Suddenly, the whistler appeared in front of Alexia and Alexia’s eyes went wide like she had seen a ghost. Her mouth opened wide and she almost fell, only holding onto a tree for support. She closed her eyes for a minute and opened them again but she was still standing there, live and direct.
“We meet again dear Alexia.” The woman spoke. A smile on her face. She was enjoying it, Alexia’s shock and disbelief, fear and trembling.
“Ha… Ha… Hayley, yo… Yo… You are supposed to be dead.” Alexia was trembling. It can’t be. She killed her in that room that day, she lay lifeless on the floor before she left. She was sure the girl was dead.
“Well, I’m not. It’s so surprising how we can’t get rid of each other, don’t you think so?” The sarcasm in her voice. She laughed for a little while.
“Let me enlighten you on how I came to be again.”
