Book:DEIMOS (Alpha of Alphas) Published:2024-6-2

Emerald eyes dig deep into my soul, he is not alone his beast that resides within makes himself known through Deimos’s eyes. His iris is split into two halves one emerald the other pitch black. Both my males registering the words I just said.
He seems to be engulfed in a haze unable to spew words. Taking in huge gulps of air through his nose chest expanding filling himself. His eyes travel down from my eyes to my stomach and linger there for a while. My soul feels everything he does yet I wish to hear from him directly.
“I do not deserve this.” The first words to leave his mouth. Eyes shut close hiding his truth from me. My feet take me a step closer to him. We both tremble our bodies swaying in unison the news affecting us equally.
“Perhaps the moon goddess favors me now. She keeps blessing me.” He utters cheeks flushed breath held in his throat. Placing my palm upon his cheek my touch awakens him, lifting him through the cloudy path his mind sits upon.
Placing my forehead upon his we drown in a comforting silence our marks springing to life sending jolts through our flesh. His eyes are wet as he holds his emotions back not allowing a single drop fall down his cheeks. Fists clenched at his sides struggling to take proper breaths. The first I have seen him this way.
“A pup.” I chuckle through my cries. Snuggling into his neck my lips upon his mark. His scent pulling me into a restful warmth.
“Our pup.” He whispers with a chuckle of his own. “I will be a father, Lumina.” He continues pride surging through like an electrifying current. Eyes looking above him as if he is sending his prayers to his father who stands with the moon.
“A wonderful one.” I say meeting his eyes my tone soft filled with love I have for him.
“And who else best to raise our pups but you. A mother. I cannot even imagine this. Thank you. Thank you.” He closes his eyes praying to whisper his thanks over and over again unable to contain the overflowing joy he possesses that I could almost taste it upon my tongue.
I remember the days I ached for this wondering if this day would ever come for me. I remember the days my mother tied me to the pole to whip my back I prayed that if I ever had a pup of my own I would place my life at its feet. A family. The last of my dreams had come true.
“We are having a pup, Lumina!” I startle to his sudden booming voice, hands around my thighs he picks me off my feet. A light playful screech leaves my lips head dizzy with happiness. Forehead placed upon my stomach. Eyes closed he remains still.
Running my fingers through his hair I gaze down at him my soul feels different. As if it has reborn filled with new life the scars of my past dying. This life I will give shall be the first step to an everlasting future.
“I will teach our pup everything. How to swim, how to chase butterflies, how to catch wild hares.” Deimos whispers his heart pounding with excitement. “And most of all I will make sure to lead our pup upon the right path.” He gazes up at me.
Eyes shining with immense uncontrollable emotions. Bending low I swoop down taking his lips into mine with a soft kiss. He slowly brings my body down my feet landing upon the cold ground, his hands around my waist head bent tasting my flesh.
A soft knock interrupts us gently from our happy bubble. “Alpha may we come in?” Elriam questions her voice filled with concern. Ragon stands along with her. They are nervous I can smell their tension wafting through the air.
“Enter.” Deimos voices out gazing down at me, hands around my hips with a soft smile gracing his face.
The two wolves enter quickly as Ragon shuts the door behind him. Elriam has her eyes upon me never taking it away her heart pounding with fear. Fear for my diagnosis.
“Is everything alright? Did the medicine have any effects?” She questions looking back and forth from Deimos to me. Ragon stands behind her arms behind his back watching calmly.
“We bear news for both of you. You both will be the first to hear it.” Deimos speaks. The two betas watch and wait for the words to hit them. “We are going to have a pup.”
A sharp shaky intake of breath from Elriam has my attention. Hands clamped upon her mouth she registers the words within her mind with wide eyes. Then she laughs for a while until the laughter turns into loud sobs.
Ragon smiles showing his strong set of teeth eyes sparkling as he regards my male. They both bow deeply in unison hand placed upon their chest. The first greeting to the new parents. Elriam doesn’t cease her cries but calms once Ragon’s hand is placed upon her shoulder.
“Elriam. Come.” I open my arms to her as she takes slow steps to me. As soon as she is within my space I place my forehead upon hers in greeting.
“I am so happy for you, Alpha. This dream of yours has come true. I have seen your journey till here and I cannot be any prouder than I am now.” She whispers.
“Thank you, Elriam. For everything, for being by my side. I never see you as merely a beta or a friend. You are my family, my sister.” I tell her as she soft whines are let out from her wolf who regards me from beneath the surface.
I look towards the side and Ragon slaps his hand in Deimos’s. A males’ way of congratulating. “I need to make a quick call.” Deimos says removing his phone from his back pocket leaving the room with a final glance towards me. Ragon following my male hands tucked in his pockets.
“I remember you told me that this would happen only in your dreams, but you have it now. A family, Alpha.” Elriam says wiping her eyes.
“Miracles happen. I believe in them now. Perhaps my time was now to open my presents sent from the moon.” I reply.
