Katrina’s p. o. v
I watched carefully as the lady approached him.
She looked very much alike to him. She was short, a bit chubby, and cute. Her hair was the same color as his but longer, and her eyes were different a light shade of grey.
“Quickly get up and hide. The monster is searching for you.” She said in a cracked voice while helping him up.
I could hear the fear in her voice. She was very scared of whoever was searching for Damon,
“Leah, there is no need for me to hide. Either way, he will know that I was here.” He answered softly as a tall slim guy approached them.
“They are here!” He called out loudly.
In just a few minutes three other guys appeared, but the one that got my attention was the huge man in the middle.
“Found you.” He said in a deep voice as he approached Damon and Leah.
Leah quickly stood in front of Damon in a protective stance.
“It’s all my fault, not his. He wanted to feel the calmness of the forest that’s why I brought him here. Please punish me not him.” She pleaded.
The huge man angrily pushed her away and grabbed Damon by the hair.
Damon groaned in pain but couldn’t scream at all.
It’s like he was used to such violence?.
I was slowly losing my composure and getting angry.
How could that bastard do such a thing to a blind man?
He tightened his grip on his hair causing him to kneel.
I was about to move in anger when a
hand on my shoulder stopped me.
I looked up and met Will’s gaze, he shook his head and tightened his grip on me.
“It’s not our fight kat, don’t you dare interfere.” He warned.
I watched furiously as the huge man forced Damon up then dragged him as the lady followed behind in tears.
I moved from the tree and cursed in a whisper.
Leah instantly stopped from afar and looked at her left then right before she continued to follow the man.
“Why the hell did you stop me?” I asked loudly.
“Fuck Kat. It wasn’t you damn fight.” He answered loudly as I lifted my hand and punched his face.
He shifted a bit but stood still gazing at me lazily.
“That’s for standing in my way asshole.” I spat.
I had no idea why I was this upset. I had seen a lot of unfair fights and treatments. Some were even worse than Damon’s, but yet I was very much upset with everything.
“You are suppose to be fucking thanking me. That wasn’t our fight at all. That huge guy was a werewolf, an alpha at that!” He yelled on top of his voice.
I looked away trying to remember if the huge man really showed any qualities of an alpha.
“I can’t believe this, you were so distracted that you couldn’t even see the danger right in front of you.” He said seriously.
“Oh please, it would have been one against four, you know I could have taken them down.” I answered.
“Yes you could have, but you are forgetting one thing. Werewolves move and stay in packs, where one is, there are more around. If you took them down, more would have known about us and they could have come for revenge. That might not be a problem but they would have led the hunters right to us causing us a huge problem.” He said angrily.
Fuck, he was right. I was so much into Damon that I could have endangered my own family.
“I’m soo…., I’m sorr….” I trailed off.
Shit. In all my years I rarely said the s word. My pride wouldn’t let me.
“I’m so…
“Stop that already. I know what you want to say and I get it. The guy was your type right?” He asked.
“No, he is more than that. There is something about him that I find insanely attractive. It’s like a fucking pull that I can’t really explain.” I answered in a frustrated tone.
“I’m sure he will be fine, for now, let’s go back okay.” He said calmly.
“Ah, fucking shit!. I was about to rip that Man’s throat open. I’m glad you stepped in.” I said honestly.
“That’s what family is for. We always have each other’s back no matter what. Oh and don’t forget you owe me one sis.” He answered with a smile.
“Owe you what?” I asked with a raised brow.
“I was about to go for another round with those ladies when I decided to follow you. I’m sure by now they are tired of Will releasing his frustration on them. So get me some girls to replace those.” He said as I laughed softly.
I knew that he was saying all this shit to make me laugh.
“Fine, I will.” I answered then walked back.
“Good.” He said behind me with a chuckle.
