Emily’s p. o. v
I sat in the office beside Cole as the Dr drew a bit of blood from my arm for the second time.
“Relax Luna.” She whispered with a smile.
I glanced at her then glared at Cole coldly. How could a Dr dress like that.
Despite having a lab coat on, her damn dress was barely covering her body.
“It’s going to be okay,” Cole whispered in my head when she stood upright and walked out of her office.
“Why is she naked?” I asked seriously.
He frowned then took in a deep breath and released it.
“Naked?” He asked
“Did you not look at her?” I asked loudly.
“I didn’t pay attention to her, please don’t her be angry okay, I’ll ask her to dress up properly.” He answered.
“Why does every female dress like that?. I hate it. I really hate it.” I spat furiously.
He grabbed my hand and squeezed it slightly.
“Honey, I will address them all on how to dress properly okay, so don’t get upset.” He whispered.
It was hard to stay upset with him. A few hours ago when he rushed me to the clinic, I was very upset with him for hurting and threatening me like that. Even when the Dr drew my blood a few hours ago I still kept my distance, but now I wasn’t upset with him anymore.
“Emily, I’m sorry.” He whispered again.
I gazed into his eyes then sighed softly.
“I’m not upset with you Cole. It’s just that a few hours ago you scared me.” I murmured under my breath.
He lifted his free hand and pressed it on my cheek gently.
“I regret doing that a lot.” He answered.
I kept quiet and watched patiently as he leaned in to kiss me.
When he pressed his lips on mine tenderly, I responded and kissed him back.
There was no denying it, I was crazily in love with him.
I quickly pulled back and sat upright when the door opened and the Dr walked in with a form in her hand.
“I have great news and not-so-great news Alpha.” She said then moved to her seat and sat down facing us.
“I think I have been too lenient for you to use such a friendly tone with me.” Cole said coldly.
She quickly lowered her gaze to the ground and kept quiet.
“Do you want to die, why the fuck are you not speaking?” He asked with emphasis.
“I’m sorry alpha, please forgive me.” She said in a respective tone.
“Dr please do tell us, is something wrong with me?” I asked in concern.
We had been sitting for a few hours as she walked in and out of her office.
For some reason, she had asked us to wait in her office.
Although I was okay with it, I didn’t understand why she wouldn’t allow us to go back to the pack house when it was a few minutes away from here.
“Nothing is wrong with you Luna besides stress, you are pretty much stressed out. And actually, I have good news.” She said with a smile.
For a Dr, her way of talking was rather weird. She sounded so unprofessional.
“That is?” I asked calmly.
“Congratulations, you are pregnant.” She answered shocking me.
I sat there not knowing what to do or what to say.
Everything seemed to stop at that moment. My knees felt weak and my feet cold.
I faced Cole and swallowed hard. He was staring back at me with a wide smile.
Somehow I felt that he knew about what was going on before the doctor could even announce the results.
“Luna.” She called loudly then cleared her throat.
“Leave us,” Cole commanded.
“Yes alpha.” She answered then stood up and left her office.
He stood up and brushed his hand through his hair.
“Why are you not happy.” He asked seriously.
I looked at him and frowned. What did he mean not happy?. I was happy over the news, but I was also very shocked and a little scared for some reason.
How the hell did I relax and submit to pleasure without thinking much about it.
Thinking back to our first night together, I was okay with his words. I was happy and imagined how our baby would look like. But now thinking about it, I was scared of becoming a mother.
“Emily.” He called with an angry expression on his face.
“Are you upset that I got you pregnant?” He asked loudly.
I quickly stood up and moved in front of him grabbing his hand.
“No, I am not upset.” I answered honestly.
“Then why aren’t you happy?” He asked sadly.
I could feel how disappointed he was that I wasn’t happy.
“I am happy, very happy that we are going to have a baby. But I’m also very shocked and a little scared.” I answered, making sure my every emotion was heard through my voice.
He closed the space between us and embraced me.
“Emily, you just don’t know how happy I am to know that you are carrying my child, I just hope and wish you will soon feel the same way as I do.” He whispered.
I pulled back from his arms and forced a smile across my face.
“How about you eat some ice cream?” He asked softly.
“Ice cream sounds nice.” I answered.
He grabbed my hand and walked out of the office with me by his side.
I missed and desperately wanted to talk to Jason, but I knew bringing him up would only make Cole very upset.
“Alpha!” Cobi called ahead immediately we walked out of the clinic. He was carrying a huge plastic bag in his hand.
He quickly approached us then bowed slightly and extended the plastic bag to me.
“Thank you,” I answered when I grabbed it from him.
“I found only four different flavors.” He said in a respective tone.
I looked at the four different boxes with a smile. I wasn’t that choosy over ice cream. I loved most flavors.
“They are more than enough. Thank you, Cobi.” I answered happily.
“Finally I’m seeing your beautiful smile.” Cole said softly as I felt my cheeks heat up.
“That’s because I am happy.” I answered honestly.
