Cole’s p. o. v
I walked in silence approaching the packs border. My mate was in my arms resting her head against my chest. I didn’t want to feel bad, but the guilt that filled me and Ace was intensifying with each passing minute.
Her crying voice and sad face were all I could think of. My heart ached badly then, and I logged to comfort her so much. No matter how angry I was, I just couldn’t mistreat her anymore.
She was what Ace and I have been missing for a long time in our life. Our whole body reacted to her touch and our very life was in the palm of her hand.
“Cole,” She called softly then brushed her hand at my chest gently.
“Mmmm,” I answered not wanting to groan in response and surprise her.
The beautiful tingles I felt around my body was the most amazing feeling I had ever felt. They completely calmed me down and made me feel at ease.
“Where are we?” She asked when she turned her head and faced ahead.
“Home,” I answered softly then let her down.
She looked at me in horror for a minute then nodded.
I didn’t know if she knew about me and Jason. Or if she was playing dumb.
“Here,” I whispered then extended my hand to her.
She hesitated but took it and walked with me to the pack house.
“Cobi?” I called through our mind link.
“Yes, Alpha.” He answered in a respectful tone.
“Have Naomi bring hot water in a bucket. Oh and a towel, Immediately.” I ordered then closed the mind link.
I frowned when her grip tightened on mine. I glanced at her and noticed how she was looking around with a confused expression.
I quickly looked around as well and noticed how my pack members were staring at her in shock while some of them were giving her murderous looks.
She was an intruder in my pack but her scent was mixed with my very own. They had no idea who she really was and that made them feel uneasy and confused. Also, the fact that I was walking with her hand in hand came as a surprise to them.
I gave out a warning growl, loud enough for everyone to hear. They quickly lowered their gaze while some rushed to their respective places.
“You are their Luna, my mate. You don’t have to show fear or be intimidated by those that are below you. Always walk straight and show pride.” I said softly then glanced at her.
She quickly adjusted her pose and walked beside me with her head high.
I wanted to swallow my words but I just couldn’t.
“That’s my girl,” I said proudly.
She faced me with wide eyes for a second then smiled wildly.
“She is perfect,” Ace said with a purr and I couldn’t agree more.
“Welcome home,” I said when we walked into the pack house.
“Cole… what about the other pack we….”
“Alpha welcome back,” Cobi said from the stairs cutting her off.
“News,” I demanded through our mind link.
“Everything was successful. I managed to distract him.” He answered.
“Good,” I said then walked to the stairs.
“Alpha, why did Jason look exactly like you?. For a second I got confused. I could have mistaken him for you.” He mind linked.
“I knew you couldn’t mistake him for me no matter what. That’s why I sent you to him.” I answered seriously.
“Alpha I’m sorry but may I ask who the young lady beside you is?” He asked loudly.
I halted my movements and looked at him coldly. He quickly lowered his gaze to the ground and bared his neck.
Did he want to die that desperately by asking me questions that didn’t involve him at all.
“My name is Emily, I’m his mate.” She answered calmly with a smile surprising me.
“Emily,” I whispered with a grin.
Her name sounded heartwarming and it really did fit her well.
Cobi looked at her with a widened eyes then smiled and slightly bowed.
“Welcome Luna, It really is a pleasure to have you with us.” He said happily.
I wanted to warn him off and remind him of his place, but seeing Emily happy made me happy as well.
“Thank you…..” She trailed off.
“Cobi. My name is Cobi.” He said with a smile.
“Cobi. I will put that in mind.” She answered.
I groaned loudly the swept her off of her feet.
“Cole!” She exclaimed loudly.
I ignored her and walked to my bedroom while she held me tightly.
“You over did your conversation with him.” I pointed out when we walked into my bedroom.
“Why?” She asked.
I put her down and faced her.
“Were you jealous?” She asked with a raised brow.
I chuckled softly then closed the space between us. I loved how bold she was around me.
I leaned in and touched her cheek gently, enjoying the tingles that were spreading throughout my body.
“What if I was?” I asked seriously.
She tiptoed and kissed my lips lightly then pulled back with laughter.
“It makes me happy.” She said softly.
I grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up with a smile. She giggled happily then stopped and faced me.
My arms were wrapped around her hips to balance her posture while she gazed into my eyes lovingly.
There was no denying how I felt for this woman. I longed for her. I wanted to cherish her for life. I was falling in love with her real fast and it wasn’t even a week.
“I love you a lot,” She whispered softly then pressed both of her hands on my cheeks.
“Prove it,” I whispered huskily not knowing what else to say.
She leaned in and kissed my lips. Her breath was warm and her lips plump and soft.
I gently responded and let her take control.
She nibbled my lower lip a few times, when I parted my lips she thrust her tongue in making me groan.
She had that dominant aura around her that made me hard and aroused me instantly. As her tongue crushed with mine, I slowly let her down and wrapped my arms around her waist while she curved her arms around my shoulders.
“Excuse me Alpha but beta Cobi instructed me to bring this bucket of hot water to your room,” Naomi said loudly from outside the room.
I furiously pulled back and took in a deep breath. This was the first time I was feeling the need to thrust my hand in her heart and pull it out. I wanted her dead for ruining my magical moment.
“Cole,” Emily called softly.
I looked at her and smiled forcefully.
“Go and sit down on the bed. I asked her to bring a bucket of hot water and a towel so I could massage your injured feet.” I said softly.
She smiled then moved and went to sit down on the bed.
I walked to the door and opened it with a cold glare.
“Alpha…”
“Not a word Naomi,” I ordered then got the bucket and towel from her hand.
“Leave.” I spat then shut the door behind and went to Emily.
I knelt down and put the bucket on the ground next to her.
I carefully got her feet and frowned when I saw the bruises.
“Do they still hurt?” I asked softly.
She brushed her hand through my hair then shook her head.
“I’m okay.” She said as I sighed in relief.
Knowing that she wasn’t in pain made me feel better for being a total asshole to her.
