“Wait what?” I asked seriously.
“I said, Cole will be here in a few minutes with his mate.” Landon answered lazily.
“Why the fuck am I hearing this now?” I asked on top of my voice.
“It’s called payback asshole. You think I was happy how you sent me to make a call while you were busy messing around with our mate huh?” He answered.
I kept quiet for a second then chuckled loudly.
“Brother, are you perhaps jealous?” I asked seriously.
“Of course I am. We are suppose to both spend the day with our mate. But that day you went all alone to have some fun with her isn’t it?” He spat.
“Wait Landon, nothing happened between us.” I pointed out.
“Jeez, you fucker I know. I just want whatever you were having as well.” He spat as I frowned.
“How about you go and have some fun with her. I’ll welcome Cole and his mate.” I answered seriously.
“Now we are talking.” He said proudly with a smirk.
What was Mia doing to us?. There was never a day that Landon and I were talking this seriously over one lady. She truly was amazing.
“Wait, did you say Cole and his mate?” I asked when his words sunk in and clicked.
“Yes.” He answered simply.
I stood there in shock. Cole was mated!.
“Cole is mated!” I exclaimed.
“Well yes, I too was in shock over his confession.” He answered.
“Wow, that is so hard to take in.” I whispered as I moved back and sat on the couch.
“Not as hard as us being mated to a golden she-wolf.” He pointed out.
“Fuck. We did all change didn’t we?” I asked softly.
Who could have thought that we were all going to find our other half, who was going to change us completely.
“And his grown soft.” He said as I laughed softly.
“So have we Landon. We weren’t like this a few years a….” I cut my words short when I heard a car hoot loudly and a few voices coming from outside.
“I’ll go and take a look. You go and have your fun.” I said then quickly stood up and rushed outside.
The first thing I saw was Cole covered in a bloody shirt, his hands too. Down on the ground was one of our warriors. He was lying on the ground dead while Cole had his foot on top of him.
A few of our warriors were a bit further away watching him closely and looking for an opening to strike him while he wasn’t looking.
Chris was leaning forward with a bleeding nose and mouth, his arm was crossed against his stomach.
I looked at the car behind Cole and noticed a woman in there who looked very terrified.
“You dare try to growl at me and touch my car with my luna in it?” He growled fiercely as his eyes turned to a dark red.
“I’ll rip you all apart.” He spat then moved to approach them when I quickly rushed in front of him with a smile.
“Ace, calm down. I was about to inform them all over your arrival, but I got a bit busy talking to….” I cut my words short when he grabbed my neck tightly.
Blake took over for a second in anger and growled in a low warning.
He and Ace always had a good mutual understanding.
Ace pulled back and let Cole take over.
When he looked at me, he sadly dropped his hand with a sigh. Blake pulled back allowing me to take over as well.
I slightly coughed and rubbed my neck a few times to relieve the burning pain from there.
“Brother,” Cole whispered.
I laughed then pat his shoulder a few times.
“Welcome to our pack.” I said.
He looked around for a second then back at me.
“Your men are very disrespectful.” He whispered then turned to look at the woman in the car.
“They dared to even threatened my woman.” He spat then walked to the car and opened the door.
“Emily….” He called softly but the lady quickly moved back.
“Did you kill him?” She asked in a whisper as tears filled her eyes.
“Ye…..”
“No.” I lied then walked to where he was.
“My warrior is just unconscious, the blows he had received were a little too hard. With time he will recover.” I lied.
She looked at me for a second then back at Cole.
“Is he telling the truth?” She asked.
“Landon get Mia down here now. It seems Cole’s mate is human. There is a little mess that Cole has created, and it seems to have shaken his mate a lot. Seeing another female’s presence might calm her down.” I mind-linked him.
“To be honest…” He began.
“I am, I’m sorry that you had to see that …. Emily was it?” I asked covering Cole.
Cole glanced at me with a raised brow.
I knew what he was surprised about. It was the first time that he was hearing me apologize to someone who wasn’t Landon or him.
Everything was different with us since we met Mia.
“Babe,” Cole called when he shifted his gaze on her.
Babe?. Did he just call her something cheesy?. I was stunned in shock.
“Cole I….” She trailed off as tears rolled on her cheeks.
“Brother we are here.” Landon mind linked me.
I turned and saw him approaching with Mia.
“Did you tell Mia the situation?” I asked through our mind link.
“Yes.” He answered.
Mia walked to us and stood next to Cole.
“Hey I’m Mia.” She whispered while extending her hand.
Emily hesitated but moved out of the car and took her hand.
“I’m sorry that you had to see that. I too was threatened when I saw such a scene. But believe me when I say that he will heal. Their training is ten times worse because he is a warrior.” She lied impressing me.
Now that was our luna, I couldn’t expect anything less from her.
“Can I ask what your name is?” She asked softly.
“Emily.” The lady answered in a cracked voice.
“Emily, would you like to have some coffee in the pack house. I’ll explain everything, and we can get to know each other better.” Mia said softly.
“Okay,” Emily whispered then walked with her to the pack house.
I furiously turned and looked at the warriors who quickly lowered their gaze.
Chris had an apologetic expression on his face.
“No food, water, or sleep. Two days training until I tell you to stop.” I commanded through our pack’s mind link then turned to Cole.
“You need to take a bath and have a new change of clothes. We have a lot to talk about.” I said.
He looked at my warriors furiously then sighed softly and nodded.
“There won’t be a next time brothers. This should be the last time they try that shit on me even if they don’t know me.” He spat then turned and walked to the pack house as well.
I could tell that he was upset and triggered as it was. Any slight mistake from anyone was going to cost them their lives.
