After Eduardo Tercero left the room, old K took one look at the girl in the hospital bed and gave Claudio Belles a sly thumbs-up and a nod of approval.
This girl has a lot of nerve!
Outside the room, old K asked hesitantly, “Mr. Eduardo, are you really … are you really going to take this girl home?”.
Edward the Third looked at him coldly, “Don’t you particularly want me to take her home?”.
Old K: … injustice na!

A week later, it was time for Claudio Belles to be discharged from the hospital.
After leaving the hospital, Old K entered the room to pick up Claudius Belles, whose almond-shaped, watery eyes glanced behind Old K several times.
Old K. smiled and said, “Don’t look, Bro. Eduardo didn’t come. Mr. Eduardo had an important board meeting, so he wasn’t available to pick her up.”
Claudio Belles emitted an “oh” and raised an eyebrow, “I’m just afraid Mr. Eduardo won’t keep his word and regret what he promised me.”
“Girl, you are too ignorant of our Mr. Edward, what Mr. Edward promised, he will do, but only if you don’t lie to Mr. Edward. if you pretend to have memory loss… and Mr. Edward finds out, you really will be thrown into the cold river and fed to the fishes.”
Claudius Belles sneered contemptuously, “Well, it’s not certain you’ll be fed to the fishes!
But … it has gone too well with this plan.
Eduardo Tercero is young and has stepped over corpses to get where he is, without a certain amount of reflection and tact. Claudio Belles can’t say what is strange, but she has a feeling that Eduardo Tercero would not trust so easily.
Old K looked at her with a loving face and said, “Come on, Mr. Eduardo is waiting for you at home.”

The black Lincoln pulls into two rows of tall French sycamores and the villa is a Victorian with a needle roof, not particularly expensive, but generous and simple.
Claudius Belles would not expect a man who is the Lord of the Cabinet of the Hidden Organization, a man who is even on a par with the President of the State of R. Such a villa of Victorian architecture, though a mansion to the common eye, would be much more grounded for Edward the Third’s status.
The black stretch LINCOLN drives through the embossed carved iron gates on the outside of the villa and into the garden, parking steadily alongside the road on a large green lawn.
Although there was not much security or agents in sight in the yard, Claudio Belles’ instinct as an agent suggested that the villa had alarms and reinforced protection lines buried almost everywhere.
Claudio Belles followed Old K. and entered the villa cautiously. Old K. led her forward, not forgetting to look back, thinking that, although she used to be a bit daring, she was still a young 18-year-old with little experience, and it was certain that she would be nervous in strange surroundings, not to mention Mr. Edward’s mansion.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Eduardo is a nice guy, although he tends to be a bit cold.”
The corner of Claudio Belles’ mouth twitches: are you serious? A good man’s hands are not covered in blood.
Many years later, she realized that there was another kind of good man, with blood on his hands, fighting for justice and peace, and that she and Eduardo Tercero were the same kind of man, both guarding the heart of a child in a world of profit and power.
As soon as Claudio Belles arrived at the hall, he noticed that there was something strange in the room. There was an instrument in the middle of the room; a normal person might not recognize what it was, but Claudio Belles was a professional agent and had naturally seen that it was a lie detector.
Eduardo Tercero is not so good at fooling people.
At that moment, the man, wearing a black shirt and black pants, comes down the stairs at a leisurely pace.
Eduardo Tercero had hired a lie detector, and his cold eyes looked at Claudio Belles with little emotion as he ordered matter-of-factly, “Now that the men are here, let’s get started.”
If Eduardo Tercero discovered that she had lied, not only would she be thrown into the river and fed to the fish, but she would also be wanted by the R. State, and there was no telling whether she would live or die, let alone complete her mission.
She had to hide the lie detector to convince Eduardo Tercero that she really had lost her memory.
