In the evening, Jonathan Tasis’ clothes dried after Eleanora Lozada retrieved them from the outside clothesline and blew on them with a hair dryer for a while.
Jonathan Tasis spent the day in bed, except for Eleanora Lozada’s morning and midday trips for food, Jonathan Tasis did not move from the bed and also dominated Eleanora Lozada by lying on the bed with his arms around her, fancy name: pregnant women need more rest.
Eleanora Lozada threw Jonathan Tasis her air-dried clothes, watched him lay there all day and said, “Get dressed and let’s go out to dinner.”
Jonathan Tasis put on his clothes, washed himself again, stood in front of Eleanora Lozada in human form and said, “That Tomas Salcedo has taken care of you a bit while I was gone, we are going back to La Ciudad Santa in a few days, shall we invite him to a dinner?”
Eleanora Lozada looked at him and deliberately asked in turn, “Who said I was going back to La Ciudad Santa with you?”.
Jonathan Tasis looked at her, “Do you really want to stay here in the middle of nowhere for the rest of your life?”
“Who says birds don’t lay eggs here? The birds in the Holy City don’t lay eggs, they have nests all over the Mountain City. ”
Jonathan Tasis: “…”
Surprisingly, I was speechless.
The man wrapped his arms around her and took her in whole, whispering in her ear, “But I have a yard full of roses in Blue County Villas waiting for you to come home.”
Eleanora Lozada’s heart took a heavy blow, and her watery eyes stared at Jonathan Tasis for a long moment before she finally wrapped her arms around the man’s neck.
Jonathan Tasis looked down, kissed her ear, and asked, “So now it’s a promise to come back to The Holy City with me?”
Eleanora Lozada joked, “I’m going back to La Ciudad Santa to help you with your yard full of roses, how can a tough guy like you know how to take care of delicate flowers?”
The man’s thin lips curved and his large hands tightened around her waist as he teased, “So those roses are more important than me?”
Eleanora Lozada wrapped her arms around his neck and looked out the window at the beautiful twilight, smiling sweetly with arched eyebrows. “Roses are important, but the ones you planted for me, even more so.”
The answer was complete, pleasing Jonathan Tasis completely, and the man kissed her on the cheek, “I’ll plant a mountain of roses for you later.”
…
Jonathan Tasis had put a lot of work on hold during his stay in the Mountain City, as Eleanora Lozada naturally knew.
Jonathan Tasis had spent too much time in Mountain City to find her, and Eleanora Lozada didn’t need to pretend anymore; Mountain City had been for her a place of isolation and oblivion, but now that the knot in her heart had opened, it was time to leave.
Eleanora Lozada wrote her letter of resignation and walked into the principal’s office.
“Principal, thank you for taking care of me and accommodating me for most of the year. But I really have to go home now.”
The principal took the resignation letter and smiled meaningfully at her, “Eleanora, you and President Jonathan have known each other for a long time, no wonder President Jonathan donated five million to our school without saying a word. President Jonathan is doing it for you.”
A little embarrassed by the principal’s comment, Eleanora Lozada raised her hand and ran it through the loose strands of hair around her ear. “Director, don’t make fun of me.”
“Professor Eleanora, go home. But we, the Alquezar School, always have our doors open for you, and you can come back and visit us whenever you want.”
“Thank you, director.”
…
Eleanora Lozada said goodbye to the children.
As the black Bentley pulled out of the Alquezar School, Eleanora Lozada buried her face in Jonathan Tasis’ arms, finally wetting her eyes slightly.
Jonathan Tasis said nothing, just reached up to gently soothe the small woman in his arms.
Having been here for the better part of a year, there is more or less an emotional attachment that Jonathan Tasis can understand.
On the plane back to The Holy City, Jonathan Tasis looked at the soft, clear side of the woman’s face and asked her, “Why did you leave without saying hello to that Tomas Salcedo guy at the end?”
He also thought Eleanora Lozada would say hello to Tomas Salcedo.
Eleanora Lozada gave him a smiling look, “I thought you didn’t like me making contact with him.”
“I really don’t like you having contact with him, I don’t like you having contact with any man other than me.”
However, Jonathan Tasis would not have been so mean if Eleanora Lozada had actually gone to say goodbye to Tomas Salcedo, and it certainly wasn’t because of him that Eleanora Lozada didn’t go to say hello.
However, Eleanora Lozada came clean: “Because I didn’t want to leave him any thoughts.”
It would be cruel to leave thoughts behind and give nothing.
“That Tomas Salcedo didn’t even go to the bush to look for you when you were in danger, and you don’t hate him and think about him?”
Eleanora Lozada passed over the food from the machine in front of her and raised an eyebrow, “It’s not that I love him, I just see him as a normal friend, didn’t you say that too? As a normal friend it’s normal for him not to risk saving someone’s life.”
Jonathan Tasis was glad of these words and poked Eleanora Lozada’s ribs on her plate, “So long in Mountain City, you’ve gotten thinner when you get hugged, eat more.”
Eleanora Lozada did not refuse and quite liked the ribs.
After half a moment, Eleanora Lozada suddenly turned her eyes and looked at him with a radiant glow, “But if you had known I was in danger and hadn’t taken the initiative to save me, I think I would have been angry and probably hated you.”
Jonathan Tasis looked at her with a slight, warm smile and loving eyes, and the man reached up to touch her cheek and said in a serious tone, “Eleanora, I will not put you in danger again. There will be no such assumptions in the future.”
“Liar.” Eleanora Lozada cursed casually.
Jonathan Tasis was slightly puzzled and a little confused, “What have I lied to you about?”.
Eleanora Lozada pointed to her stomach, deliberately frightened, “You say you won’t put me in danger again, but pregnancy and childbirth are dangerous things, and many pregnant women have died in childbirth before.”
Jonathan Tasis’s brow furrowed deeply at the words “died in childbirth,” and the man’s dark eyes fixed on Eleanora Lozada’s slightly bulging belly. “So, can we send him back now?”
Eleanora Lozada let out a laugh, “Where to send him, he’s here and he’ll have to be born.”
“I thought you said production was dangerous?”
Eleanora Lozada had just wanted to tease him, but she hadn’t expected the man to know anything about pregnancy and childbirth, and seemed genuinely frightened by what she said, “I was just teasing you.”
Eleanora Lozada had just finished eating and was a little sleepy, yawning as she lay back and closed her eyes.
Jonathan Tasis bowed solemnly, “Eleanora, how about we don’t have any more babies.
Anyway, it’s nice for two people.
Eleanora Lozada: “…. Mr. Jonathan, modern medical technology is still very advanced, and even if there is a difficult delivery during the process, the mortality rate is relatively low, so there is no need to worry.”
Jonathan Tasis, however, was unsure and said, “When we go back to The Holy City, I’m going to ask Adam Rouco, Estrella Berrocal has already had two children, she must have a lot of experience.”
“…”
Eleanora Lozada turned away and went back to sleep, not wanting to talk to that idiot anymore.
