Tonight, Jonathan Tasis worked in his study and did not return to the master bedroom all night.
On the fax, a document arrives from Adam Rouco.
With long, slender fingers, the man picked up the document with the information about Eleanora Lozada.
Without looking any further, Jonathan Tasis lit the lighter and, with a snap, the flames reduced the paper to ashes and dropped it into the ashtray.
This woman, who she really is, is no longer important to him, what matters is … as long as she stays with him.
He did not even dare to think that he would go crazy if this woman left him again and he could not find her at the end of the world.
Consider it moral support … not Analena Lozada, though.
Loving someone again obviously seemed extravagant and improbable to him, and he couldn’t let go of it and didn’t dare break it.
…
The next morning, Jonathan Tasis emerged from his study and unconsciously glanced around the closed door of the master bedroom, contemplating it for a few seconds before the man turned with a scowl and went downstairs.
Exaltacion had just made breakfast and, seeing him with his suit jacket on his arm, she was about to leave and said, “Eat breakfast before you go, sir, you didn’t eat anything last night and your stomach won’t hold out.”
Miss Analena has been gone for half a year, and so has my husband, who has had a bad stomach for half a year, due to alcoholism and irregular meals.
Before leaving, the man couldn’t resist sweeping back up and indicated in a cold voice, “Remember to get her up for breakfast at nine o’clock. Call me if anything happens.”
She, naturally, meant Miss Analena.
Exaltacion nodded, “Yes, sir.”
…
As soon as Eleanora Lozada woke up, Exaltacion came in with breakfast, “Miss Analena, wash up and have breakfast.”
Eleanora Lozada did not refuse again and nodded, thinking that even if she went on hunger strike, Jonathan Tasis would not let her go, that it was a constant battle and that a hunger strike would obviously not solve the problem.
After washing up, Eleanora Lozada sits in her room and eats her breakfast in chewed form.
The breakfast was plentiful and to her liking, but she could not eat it.
Exaltation stood up and said, “Miss Analena, you better eat well, if you don’t eat, your husband won’t either, it’s not worth both of you spoiling your stomachs.”
Eleanora Lozada’s heart shuddered, “Didn’t she eat?”.
“Yes, if Miss Analena doesn’t eat, how can the Lord have the heart to eat. Even if the Lord is angry with Miss Analena, He still loves Miss Analena in His heart, Miss Analena, think that for the Lord’s sake, you should eat well too. It has been hard for you, sir, being alone for so long that your temper has become violent.”
Eleanora Lozada’s fingers gripped the spoon, slightly dazed, but she quickly hid the emotion in her teary eyes and bent her head to slowly drink her porridge.
Exaltacion added, “Miss Analena, you have just returned and your relationship with Monsieur has yet to be perfected, but then, when you are pregnant and have a child with Monsieur, this will all be different. As soon as Miss Analena is pregnant, I am sure Monsieur and Miss Analena will soon be together again.”
Pregnancy …
Eleanora Lozada’s eyelashes fluttered as she remembered that the night before Jonathan Tasis had done everything intimate with her, inside and out, without taking safety precautions.
“With him and me, there’s no way we’re going to have kids.”
Exaltation was a bit taken aback and asked, wide-eyed and distrustful, “Why? Miss Analena, the lord loves you very much, he must want you to give him children, this mansion, it is too empty and cold, if you have children, it will be much livelier in the future.”
“Exaltacion, does the contraceptive pill exist…?”
Eleanora Lozada, knowing that Exaltation would not give it to her so easily, said, “Exaltation, I will have no future with Jonathan Tasis at all, and if I have a child with him, I will go and get rid of him when the time comes, and it will be better not to have him in the first place than to go through all this trouble. ”
The more Exaltation understood Eleanora Lozada, the more other women tried to get pregnant with her husband’s child, but Miss Analena, with her words, said that it was okay for her not to take the pill now, but that she would abort the child if she had it.
But Exaltacion also did not immediately give Eleanora Lozada the birth control pill, something so important that she was not in a position to make a decision.
Exaltacion went downstairs and called Jonathan Tasis.
“Sir, Miss Analena asked me for contraceptive pills…. What should I do about it?”
Jonathan Tasis’ dark eyes sank and his cold voice came through the phone, “She just asked you for birth control pills? Nothing else?”
“He said, he said … she also said that even if she didn’t take the medication now, she would abort the baby later if she had one, and that she wouldn’t give a baby to her husband.”
Crash!
The phone was hung up.
Jonathan Tasis slammed the phone in his hand directly into the floor-to-ceiling window, shattering the glass and shattering the phone’s screen.
Refusing to take his child, what if he had wanted her to be pregnant!
If she was pregnant, maybe, things would really change between them, and then maybe she wouldn’t think about leaving him.
Jonathan Tasis’ eyes deepened for a moment; a child might be the best way to tie her down.
When had he, Jonathan Tasis, ever used such a despicable tactic as impregnating a woman to keep a woman whose heart wasn’t even in his?
But people, they’re cheap.
The more she didn’t want her, the more he wanted her.
He seeks her with all his might, and kindness does not rest.
…
Late at night, blues bar.
Jonathan Tasis was drunk and surrounded by several beautiful, sexy looking women.
“Mr. Jonathan, spend the evening with us, the sisters will serve you to your heart’s content.”
Jonathan Tasis shoved the women, “Get out!”
Instead of retreating, the women clung even tighter to Jonathan Tasis, who copied an empty bottle from the table and slammed it to the floor with such force that it shattered, eliciting a wave of terrified screams from the women in the booth.
“Ah – Mr. Jonathan, why so angry, the sisters are just going.”
The women, one by one, struggled out of the cabin, which was completely silent.
Jonathan Tasis sits limply on the leather couch, reclines on his back, raises his hand and rests his arm on his forehead, closes his eyes slightly and lets out a deep winey sigh.
Tired.
Tired in body, tired in mind, tired beyond belief.
In his mind comes the clear face of Analena Lozada, as delicate and pretty as ever.
Jonathan Tasis pulls his wallet out of his suit jacket and looks at the photo it contains, showing a girl in the prime of life, smiling.
With his fingers, gently tracing the forehead of the girl in the photo, the man lightly teased, “Analena, is this a betrayal on my part? I love you, but I can’t seem to … love you anymore.”
It’s not fair to him, and it’s not fair to Eleanora Lozada.
Eleanora Lozada, that fool, did she really think he didn’t know about her impostor identity?
She just doesn’t want to reveal it.
Eleanora Lozada and Analena Lozada are worlds apart, except for the resemblance of their faces.
Eleanora Lozada underestimated him, he knew from the first moment he saw her that she wasn’t his Analena Lozada….
Jonathan Tasis downed the rest of the wine in the bottle, drinking it in one gulp, his throat stinging and his eyes slightly bloodshot.
