Third Person’s POV:
He looked towards her and smiled before taking both of her hands in his.
“Giselle, sweetheart, I want to tell you something”. There were so many emotions in Riven’s eyes that Giselle felt her heart racing against her chest.
“Shoot” Giselle said excitedly.
“About that night when I didn’t c*m. I need to tell you the truth about myself. When I was little, I was tortured by foxes and Caleb…” Riven thought it was the best time to tell her the biggest truth about her life. Hence, he began to speak.
She felt like crying when Riven was finally opening up about his life, but she already knew it. She didn’t want to keep him in the dark. She wanted to be honest with him.
‘Another truth I need to reveal’. She composed herself to tell him another truth.
Riven stopped talking when he saw tears in her eyes and asked, “What happened, baby?”
“I am so sorry, Riven, but I also know that. After our first night, when you didn’t c*m inside me, I called Caleb the next morning before breakfast and as you know, Caleb tells me everything. So, he told me the entire thing about foxes. Rivalry of your pack with fox clans as well as the incident that happened with you”, Giselle said honestly and continued,
“He also told me to give you some time as you need it before being comfortable with someone”, Giselle added, tears were continuously falling on her cheeks.
Riven cupped her face. He wiped her tears from his thumb and made her look in his eyes, “That’s why you were keeping your distance?”
“Hmm. I am really sorry I shouldn’t have asked him! I am really guilty. I feel like a nosy b*tch!” Giselle said and more tears fell on her cheek.
“You shouldn’t be, love. I did wrong. I should have told you everything. In that way, you wouldn’t need to ask someone else about me. And, thank you for trying so hard to make me feel comfortable”, Riven said with a polite smile.
She looked down in embarrassment. She thought he would be angry with her for knowing everything already, but his positive response shocked her to her core.
“Is there anything you don’t know about me? I want to tell you everything”, he asked while drawing circles on her palm with a constant smile on his handsome face.
“Your true feelings!” escaped her mouth before her brain could even process it, and he looked directly into her eyes.
She looked away and coughed awkwardly, “What I meant was, I can read Stefan and Kevin like an open book, but when it comes to you, I am as good as illiterate. You are so emotionless sometimes that it’s hard to say what you are feeling inside.”
“Ah, I see. I will try to express myself more from now on”, Riven replied, smiling.
“Hmm” Giselle hummed in response.
‘That bloody cow! How can he be so ignorant? Why can’t he understand that I want him to confess his feelings!’ Giselle wanted to glare at him at the moment.
“But there is one thing I need you to know” Riven said while taking both of her hands and, intertwined their fingers.
“What is it?” Giselle asked. She was excited but she kept calm.
“The fear of losing you today made me realize something” Riven said while tightening his grip on her hands like someone is trying to steal her.
Her heartbeat increased in an instant.
“I think… I think I am in love with you, Giselle. I don’t know how it happened and when it happened, but I don’t think I will be able to live without you anymore…”
