Third Person’s POV:
“Riven? Are you kidding me? I mean, Riven came to my room to spend time with me? Come on! It doesn’t even sound real! If this information is true, then the ‘Fairies’ must also be real!” Giselle said while shaking her head in disbelief.
“Why are you so negative about it?” Stefan asked confusedly.
“Because he never shows interest! He never notices anything about me. He is just as cold as an ice berg when it comes to me!” Giselle complained and looked away.
Stefan held her hand with his one hand and caressed her cheek with his other before he made her look him in the eye.
“Why do you think he brought you milk then?” Stefan asked in an understanding tone.
“Kevin must have told him” Giselle replied stubbornly.
“Kevin must have delivered it himself then. Why would he ask Riven, who was busy in the dungeon the whole day, to do that?” Stefan asked in an investigative tone.
‘I don’t know’ Giselle thought, but didn’t give words to her thoughts.
She needed time to register and understand it.
“Listen, my sweet lovely Giselle, Riven hugged you today, right?” Stefan asked with a sweet smile and Giselle nodded in response.
“That means he was worried about you when those foxes were trying to attack you. Guards from our lake house told me that he kicked Erica out today”. Stefan informed her like a gossipmonger.
“He did?” Giselle looked straight at him and asked in an excited tone.
“Yes, that’s what I was informed when I called at the lake house to ask if everything was okay”, Stefan replied while nodding, and Giselle nodded back, hiding her excitement behind a pout again.
“Do you know what he said to Erica?” Stefan asked while holding both of her hands.
Giselle shook her head in no.
“He said that he has a mate now and he wants to be with her. He would do anything but he will never cheat on her. He told Erica to leave him because he would never come back”, Stefan replied with a smile.
“He said that?” Giselle asked, her eyes widened in shock.
‘He rejected Erica for me?’ Giselle thought, baffled.
“Yes, he did. I feel like, right now, he must have come to spend some time with you to tell you how he feels. Because he is the only one remaining to confess his feelings”, Stefan said with an understanding smile.
“But Stef, you are hurt”, Giselle pointed towards his entire body wrapped in white dressing.
Stefan cupped her face and said, “I am okay, baby. I know you are worried about talking to him because of his cold behavior earlier and you are giving him space to adjust, but when is taking a step towards you, you shouldn’t back off. Go and talk to him! If you feel like you need more time and it’s not working out, you can anytime come in my room. I am always there for you”
“Okay, thank you, Stef. You are an angel!” Giselle said happily and hugged him.
She unknowingly pressed some of his wounds but Stefan didn’t make a sound and hugged her back.
She parted from him and began to leave.
“Wait!” Stefan held Giselle’s hand and made her sit on the bed again.
“What has happened now, Stef?” Giselle asked in a confused tone while turning towards him.
“And to answer your question, fairies do exist,” Stefan said seriously.
“Do they?” Giselle asked in astonishment, her doe eyes widened even more.
“Yeah. One of them is sitting right in front of me”, Stefan said with a smile, and then sealed her lips for a small kiss.
“You are such a flirt! I love you.” Giselle said with a bright smile.
“I love you too, baby. Now, you can go”, Stefan smiled and let go of her hand.
“One more thing!” Stefan shouted and startled her again.
“What is it this time?”
