Third Person’s POV:
Stefan was already hurt. Because of wolfbane falling on his wounds, the healing process was quite slow compared to normal. His brother’s attack opened his slowly healing wounds.
“Stefan, you are bleeding again!” Giselle said in a worried tone while pointing towards his bleeding arm.
“It’s okay, love. I will let someone from the medical team clean it and apply some ointment. Stop worrying about every small thing”, Stefan replied in a small polite voice.
“Do you promise?” Giselle asked with narrowed eyes.
“Yes, I promise, love. Just take care of Caleb. He listens to you”, Stefan said while taking her hand.
“You too take care baby” Giselle kissed her hand.
Caleb glanced at his brother’s open wound and the reality hit him.
“I am sorry, brother. I didn’t mean to.!” Caleb said in a pleading tone.
“It’s okay, champ. I know you didn’t mean to hurt me. You can never hurt me intentionally” Stefan replied with a smile.
Stefan kissed Caleb’s forehead, followed by Giselle’s forehead and left the room to get proper medical help as promised.
Caleb burst into tears when Stefan left the room. Giselle hugged her brother to calm him down. Natalie patted his back while sitting next to him.
Giselle and Natalie stayed with Caleb the rest of the day to keep him company. Stefan couldn’t visit them again as he was advised to take a rest.
Meanwhile, Riven was taking care of Enzo and trying to make him speak about the fox’s next plan. Kevin was moving between the dungeon and pack house to keep an eye on everyone.
On the other hand, Alpha Riley was there with Riven the entire time. Vera was showing her support to Beta’s family, who had lost their only son.
Caleb was uneasy the whole day. He didn’t eat or talk much. He only cried in Giselle’s arm. Giselle tried her best to put him to sleep. After making multiple attempts, they finally succeeded in putting him to sleep.
Once they were sure, he was not waking up any sooner, they quietly went out of his room.
Both of them took a deep sigh of relief once they were out of his room.
“Gosh, that was such a task!” Giselle said while keeping her hand on his chest.
“Because you didn’t let me use my sleeping spell” Nate complained, glaring at her best friend.
Giselle grabbed her hand and dragged her towards her own room.
“You can’t use magic for every single thing or you will be punished, Nate! Your coven forbids you to use magic for daily activities!” Giselle gritted her teeth, as she knew the rules and regulations of her coven.
“Ancestral witches are idiots! Why do you want to work as a laborer when you can use magic!” Nate shook her head with an eye roll.
Giselle stopped in her tracks, turned towards Nate and asked with a raised eyebrow, “Should I complain that your mother then?”
“You are such a bad friend, Giselle!” Nate said while removing her hand.
“But you still love me” Giselle flashed a broad grin.
“Of course!” Nate groaned in anger.
“Thank you so much for helping us, Nate! That was really brave of you”, Giselle said with a small smile.
Nate pushed her and Giselle fell on the wall behind her.
“Now don’t thank me and make puke on your dress” Nate said with a weird face.
“Alright. Anyways, it’s too late. You can sleep in my room”, Giselle said, while pointing towards her room in front of her.
“Nah, I will go home. You know, I can’t sleep without my pillow”, Natalie said, while waving her hand casually.
“Will it be safe to go home at this time? It’s almost midnight!” They heard a deep husky voice coming from behind.
