Third Person’s POV:
“Well, weekly favorite then” Giselle replied with a nervous laugh.
“Why Stefan?” Kevin insisted on an answer to such a tricky question.
“I feel like someone is getting a little jealous!” Stefan said with a mocking laugh.
Kevin and Riven rolled their eyes at Stefan’s comment but they were shocked when the least expected person spoke.
“If I were Giselle, Stefan would be my favorite too. He is so sweet and understanding. He listens well and never argues. Stefan is the perfect guy. Stefan is literally love! I don’t think Giselle did anything wrong”, Vera said nonchalantly, showing her complete support.
Everyone looked weirdly at Vera except for Stefan, who just smiled at her.
“Thank you, Vera. I knew I could count on you”, Stefan said, flashing his adorable smile.
“You are most welcome, my favorite child”. Vera patted his head, smiling like an alpaca.
“Maybe I should be jealous too” Giselle said when her mother called Stefan her favorite child.
“No need. You are everyone’s favorite, love”, Stefan said charmingly, while keeping a strand of her hair behind her ears, and Giselle smiled.
They heard a mixture of loud groans, coming from the side where Kevin and Riven were standing folding their hands to their chests.
“Alright, listen. He has been listening to me and understanding me the most these days. And he was not lying. Nate called after you left today”. Giselle tried to explain the situation to them,
“Okay then. We will accept it if you are saying this.” Kevin said plainly, with a nod.
Everyone, including Giselle herself, looked at him weirdly.
“How can you accept that..?” Riven tried to speak but Kevin cut him off.
“Try to be a bit understanding or we will never be her weekly favorite! Stefan, the sweet talker, will stay her favorite forever!” Kevin groaned in anger while he pinched his brother’s arm.
“Ooo, okay. We accept it”. Riven nodded in agreement too.
They forgot that their mate was also a werewolf who could hear their whispering very clearly. Giselle and Stefan did their best to hold their laughter.
Alpha Riley looked at them with so much disappointment. He really didn’t expect his sons to behave so juvenilely in such a serious situation. All of them were busy impressing their mate and being in her favorite books rather than thinking of a way to handle this deadly situation.
Just when they were having a gibberish conversation, there was a gentle knock on the door of the study room.
Kevin, who was standing near the door, moved towards it and opened it.
He saw a beautiful red head standing in front of her. She was a bit shorter than Giselle in height and had brown eyes. Her skin was pale and she also had the same slim hourglass figure, just like Giselle. She was beautiful in her own way.
The moment the girl’s eyes fell on Kevin, words came out of her mouth before she could shut it,
“Am I in heaven?”
“Sorry?” Kevin looked at her confusedly.
“Um, sorry, is Giselle here?” She asked in a plain tone, after composing herself.
“Oh, you must be Ms. Natalie Bennet, Giselle’s best friend!” Kevin smiled at her politely.
Before Natalie could reply, she heard a loud scream, “NATE!”
Giselle stormed towards her and jumped into her arms. Nate succeeded in catching her and standing straight at the same time.
“Gosh, babes, I was waiting for your call the entire day. What happened?” Nate asked in a concerned voice.
“I was about to call you but then I got into an accident” Giselle replied in a low voice.
“What! An accident? How? When? Are you hurt???” Nate nearly shouted in worry.
When Giselle didn’t reply for a fraction of seconds. Natalie looked at her. She could tell Giselle was hiding something.
“Why do I feel like it was not an accident?”
