Chapter 64 Like mother like daughter
MIDNIGHT PACK: ANNA’S COMPANY
Anna had an amused look on her face. She wouldn’t have thought she would see the day Ava would come in front of her to say such bullshit that just rolled out of her mouth to her. Leaning deeper into her chair, Anna dropped the pen she had been playing with.
“I don’t know what you are driving at, but humor me.”
Anna could see Ava’s eyes shift and anger running through her body. Ava threw daggers with her eyes at Anna and she wished so hard that she could pounce on the bitch. The blows she should have landed on her years ago would really come through nicely now.
“Warn your bitchy daughter to stay away from my Amelia if you both know what’s good for you.” Ava warned with a stare look on her face.
Anna laughed cynically. “You are such a joke Ava.”
“What?”
“Yeah, you sound like a failed comedian. You come in here throwing all of your weight around and acting sassy with my secretary. Who the hell do you think you are?” Anna was getting really pissed.
Ava held her gaze, lowered her voice and tried to get Anna to surrender. “Don’t you forget, I am Ava and you do know what I am capable of doing. Tell your girl to stay away from mine. If not I would gladly do you all the honors of sending her lifeless body back to you.”
“You have so much guts now Ava. To think that almost two decades back there was a limit to how gutsy you could get.”
“Oh-”
“Shut it Ava!” Anna held up her hand. “You are in my space and you would listen to me. So get the hell out now before I get the security guards to do so on my honorable behalf.”
“You won’t do no such thing. I respect myself a whole lot and won’t let someone as trashy as yourself lay that filthy hands of yours on me. Just tell your slutty daughter to stay put to her boundary.” Ava replied as she turned away to head to the door.
Anna let out a dry chuckle. “It’s such an uncommon thing. But having a mother and daughter fuck the same man awes me so much.”
The reaction of Ava was just what Anna had expected. A part of her had tried to hold down the thoughts of exposing Amelia to her mother but having Ava walk into her space to threaten her with the life of Alice made her throw all caution to the wind.
“What the hell do you mean by that?” Ava raved as she turned around to face her.
“You want me to repeat myself? I gladly would.” Anna sat up. “Your daughter sleeps with my husband Henry. I know that name strikes a cord inside of you. To think that you had also done so some years back, what’s the certainty that you haven’t kept on with it?” She snickered.
The world underneath Ava spin wildly like a yarn. Her ears bled, it’s not like she had any regrets for sleeping with Henry. She had taken it upon herself to teach Anna a lesson for always gloating around about her good looking and caring husband. The thought of having a taste of such man just made Ava go wild and didn’t think twice of the hurt it would bring to her friend or the things that were at stake.
For a while she had tried to plot on ways to teach Anna an unforgettable lesson. She couldn’t involve Elena knowing how committed she was to the friendship. This had made her carry out the devilish plot on her own. Her time came when Anna took them to her house after boasting of how great of a cook her husband was. The dinner was nice, but all the while she and Henry exchanged glances. Ava had thought Henry would be a hard nut to crack considering how much the wife praises her husband and talks about him being the most faithful man in the whole of Midnight Pack.
The dinner had been the starting point, she and Henry practically played footsie under the table with Elena and Anna being oblivious to everything happening. They started arranging dates outside and finding some nice place to have sex. The day Anna had caught them, it had been her idea that they fucked in Anna’s house just to feel good about herself. Even when Anna had walked in on them, she had felt no ounce of remorse. It angered her when Henry had totally dumped her to go back to his beloved wife. She couldn’t believe the same man was having a thing with her daughter now!
“Stop playing with me Anna!” Ava growled.
“I almost thought you had gone short of words.” Anna responded with a snort. “You should ask your daughter why exactly my dear Alice would want to stoop so low to waste her precious punches on your daughter. That’s absurd don’t you think?”
Ava slammed her bag on the table. “I am going to sue Henry and your entire family for child abuse!” She yelled.
Anna laughed loudly. “You are really crazy. The last time I checked Amelia is of legal age and I can say certainly Henry wasn’t the one who deflowered her.”
Ava body shook, she didn’t know how exactly she was feeling. “Henry must have lured her and you must have started it to spite me.”
Anna tried to relax her breathing. “Do you think I am that petty like you are? Why would I waste my precious time to assert revenge just now when I could have done so years back? Remember, I was never incapable.”
Ava hated that Anna was speaking the truth. Anna clearly would have made her pay for what she did years back if she had wanted to. Different thoughts raced through her mind. How did Henry get in contact with Amelia? How did they meet in the first place? How did she end up sleeping with a man old enough to be her father? The only person she knew Amelia spends most of her time with is Jared and of course being her mate they certainly have had sex and she had caught them at it sometime ago.
That wasn’t the bone of contention! Ava was never going to forgive Henry when she finds out about how it all went down. She most certainly will make him pay for it. Her face flushed as she tried to maintain a blank look in front of Anna but it wasn’t working.
Anna could see right through her and it was obvious she was having a filled time. Getting a grip on herself, Ava kissed her teeth loudly. “Don’t even dare to think this is over yet. I am coming back with a full force and trust me your whole family is going down with me.”
Anna stood up in all of her glory, towering over Ava who was still some inches shorter than Anna despite wearing a heel. “You should be the one to look out for yourself. There are some secrets about you I would like to share to the world including your deal with our supposed Alpha.” Anna said in a muffled tone but loud enough for just Ava to hear.
Seeing her words had hit home, Anna returned to her seat and focused her attention on her laptop. Ava turned towards the door like she was being controlled by a remote as she tried really hard to not look affected. As she left the premises while feeling the eyes of the angry secretary on her back, the whole of her insides churned with fear and the uncertainty of the unknown.
