Chapter 33 Come with me!
OLD JOE DINER
Logan arrived just in time to see Jovy working at the diner. He didn’t know what exactly struck him as his heart jolted a bit. Logan had no idea what was bound to happen when he sees her but he hadn’t expected himself to act in such manner that he considers weak. And he was no weak person!
Logan wasn’t at the diner to pacify her but he had come to make a proposition which he doesn’t expect her to refuse. It’s not like he was giving her a choice. Throwing his weight around is how he works his world and he hardly cares about anyone’s inconvenience. There was a great need for him get rid of the thoughts of her.
Stepping out of the car with a resolve to make her do his bidding, he could sight her from the diner glass.
Jovy moved with a rapid gait, Ol’Joe watched her keenly as she moved herself around. He walked up to her at the counter.
“You are acting quite nervous, are you okay?” He asked her.
Ol’Joe had always felt a type of tenderness towards Jovy. Ever since she started working at the diner, she had been a good asset to his investment. Jovy Finlay is friendly, always up and running and never complaining. She ran the place like it’s her very own unlike every other workers whom were always having one thing or the other to complain about. Despite the things she was enduring at home, Jovy always has a smile on.
However, this afternoon seems different as she has been acting weird which isn’t typical of her. He noticed how she jumps at just any slight sound. He couldn’t ignore it, knowing how unlikely it is of her to be like that.
Jovy raised her head to look at him with a forced smile on her lips. “I am very fine sir.” She replied.
“Are you sick? You know you can let me know what’s going on with you exactly.” Ol’Joe said.
Jovy smiled tightly again. She shook her head. “Don’t worry about me Ol’Joe. I am fine, thank you.”
“Alright. Be fine my dear.” Ol’Joe huffed as he turned away from her slightly.
Ol’Joe raised his brows when he noticed the figure walking into the diner and he didn’t need to be told he is one with authority. His wolf felt dominated by his mere presence and he could bet his life on it that this figure was either an Alpha or maybe a vicious Beta.
Ol’Joe wondered what such person came to do in a small diner like his. He took a few steps to meet him. But he realized the stranger had his eyes glued to Jovy and his strides seem determined as he got closer to her.
Ol’Joe turned to face her sharply. “Seems like you have a visitor. You should leave it and talk to him. He doesn’t look like he would leave soon.” He informed her before walking away.
Jovy looked up, her heart fluttering at the fact that Arlo had arrived so early only to meet the gaze of the very first man she had spent three nights with. The smile on her face faded immediately and heart constricted making it hard for her to breath. Logan could sense her emotions.
Jovy’ eyes rounded like saucers as she sighted him. Never would she have thought that they would meet again and in the diner that she worked at.
Logan closed up the space between himself and the counter. He watched as she tried really hard to hold her breath. He dropped his hands in his pocket, watching her with a dead look on his face and it only made him feel good as she reacted to his presence. It was obvious he had a number of effect on her.
Jovy couldn’t speak! It seemed like her speech had been seized by just staring at him. She wanted to say something so bad and probably yell at him. However all she could do was stare wide eyed at him and unable to move.
“Follow me!”
That was all he said when he turned his back away from her and walked towards the exit. Almost like a zombie, she followed him. Ol’Joe watched as all the drama unfolded and he shook his head knowing for certain that Jovy’s innocent mind has been captured.
Logan smirked to himself. He never doubted his prowess from the beginning. But sometimes, he wished to experience what it feels like to be defied by a lady. Stepping outside into the cool evening breeze, Logan took a deep breath with his hands still in his pocket and he turned abruptly towards Jovy when he heard her footstep behind him. He almost sent her spiraling to the wall. He gave her a once over without feeling sorry for her.
Jovy wanted to ask him a whole lot of things, and it seem like the breeze that had spread across her face had brought back her voice.
“How did you find this place?” She asked.
Logan arched a brow. “I can find anyone I want to. And you don’t have any right to question me.”
Jovy stared with her mouth agape. She couldn’t understand how he could be so dominant! If he didn’t like to see her face that much then why was he here?!
Jovy stood tall and braced herself. “Why are you here then? And why did you pull me off work? You could see that I was clearly busy.” She stated.
Logan looked at her in amusement. “I see you have found your voice. You weren’t protesting when I had called you out.”
Jovy’s face flushed at his words and she gulped hard. “I was just shocked on seeing you. I didn’t expect that-”
Logan interrupted her. “I have a proposition for you and I don’t expect you to object to it.”
Jovy furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. “What proposition?”
“That you travel to San Francisco with me for a week.” He stated.
Jovy let out a snort. She shook her head in disapproval. “I can’t go with you. There is no way I can leave home for a whole week.”
Logan let out a strangled chuckle. “You must really think you have an option on whether to come with me or not. I am leaving tomorrow and I expect to see you right on this spot by nine am.”
Jovy scoffed as her hands folded across her chest. She was becoming pissed at how disrespectful he was talking to her. “Listen, I am not indebted to you! You can’t make me do your biddings whichever way you want!” She snapped at him.
And with a shaky breath, Jovy turned away from him and started her journey back into the diner. Immediately she rebuked herself for being so stupid and thinking he could be someone she might find peace in.
Logan gritted his teeth as she called him bluff and walked away from him. He didn’t come with the intention of being refused and he doesn’t care what she has to do to go with him. All that matters was him ensuring she would be on the trip with him.
Not thinking twice, Logan took a few long steps and grabbed her wrist. He swirled her around and in a swift movement, she was caged in his chest and he slammed his lips on hers. Jovy struggled against him for a few seconds but soon surrendered with an intense moan.
Logan kissed her roughly as he gripped the back of her neck hard and making it hard for her to move. He could feel her melting against him and also his cock rising at the effect. If the location had been different, he would have taken her up right there and fucked her till she lost her voice. At the same time, he needed to figure out the exact reason he couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Jovy kept moaning against his lips and unable to control the sensation filling her up at his hard grip. She had wanted to fight it at first but she couldn’t go up against him.
“Are you kidding me right now?” Arlo’s voice bellowed, looking super pissed at what he was seeing right in front of him!
