As Zane Zadiach walked through the airport with five guards behind him, people moved out of the way in total fear. His presence was like that of a demon who had come to earth in order to wreak havoc. The blue-eyed young man didn’t flinch a bit on seeing people’s reaction towards his arrival.
The suitcase he was carrying was taken by a female servant who had come with the driver to pick him up. They walked out of the airport and he entered the VIP car that had been sent, while his guards got into a different car. Seated inside the VIP car as the driver drove it towards the direction of the family home, Zane looked outside the window and began to think of how to accept the huge responsibility that his grandfather had put on his shoulders.
He was the eldest of three children and since their parents died, their wealthy grandfather had been the person taking care of them. The Blue Skeletals’ history started with his grandfather and it continued for many years until the old man decided to hand over the responsibility to him. If he accepted the responsibility, then his grandfather’s assets would be his.
Zane struggled to understand why an elderly man would hand over his assets to his grandson while he was still very much alive and healthy. He didn’t believe that it was a tradition, instead, he believed that his grandfather was doing it of his own will. The Blue Skeletals needed a young and smart leader and the old man saw him fit for the role.
The gates opened automatically when the driver stopped the car. Zane sighed when the driver drove into the compound as the gates closed behind them. He was happy to be home with his family after a long stay in another city. A guard opened the door for him and he stepped down from the car with his hands tucked into his pockets. The mansion before him was the family house and it was like a palace. His grandfather had a special seat in the mansion and also a special room where he usually went to and would not come out until it was night. Only two people were allowed into the room. Magnus, the second-in-command of the Blue Skeletals group and he, the eldest son of the family. Even with the privilege, he had only dared to enter the room twice in the last twelve years.
Zane entered the mansion and saw the servants moving about and doing their work. That was the thing he loved most about the mansion, it was always lively. Every one of them stopped and bowed their heads to greet him before resuming their activities.
“Welcome, master,” Magnus said, as he approached with a warm smile.
“Magnus. It’s good to see you again,” Zane said as they shook hands.
“Your grandfather is in the room. He wants to speak to you,” Magnus’ facial expression turned serious.
“Of course, I will see you later, then?”
“Sure,” Magnus replied and patted Zane on the shoulder.
Zane nodded and walked off to his grandfather’s private room. As he began his journey, he began to wonder what his grandfather wanted to speak to him about without permitting him to rest for a bit. He knocked on the door softly after he stopped in front of the door.
“Come in,” a bold voice said from inside the room.
Zane opened the door slowly and entered the room, closing it behind him. His grandfather, Mr. Zadiach was an extremely noise sensitive person, maybe that was why he preferred to stay in a quiet and private furnished room alone.
Zane looked around for a while and figured that nothing had changed. It was brightly painted with white paint, furnished with elements that were made out of rare brown painite. The tables were significantly made out of high value diamonds. The chair on which his grandfather sat on, was specially made of pure alexandrite.
“Sit,” the old man said without a hint of a smile.
Zane sat down on a painite chair, facing Mr. Zadiach. The old man was not as old as anyone would imagine him to be. He was already 100 years old and could still walk without a walking stick. He could still make reasonable and unchangeable decisions. The old man simply lived through those years without getting sick and he still wasn’t sick. His skin was wrinkled and as usual, his face held that indifferent look. His hair was as white as the paint used on his room’s walls.
“What did you discover in Star City?” the man asked, making standard eye contact with him.
“I found out that he had a daughter,” Zane said.
“What age?”
“I went to her college to ask about her and they gave me some surface information about her. From what I got, she is 19 years old.”
“What’s her name?”
“Ava Hayes,” Zane replied.
“What about that bastard?” The old man’s bold voice was straight and deadly.
“He and Ava arrived in this City some days ago,” Zane answered, “He left his company in the hands of his deputy and his assets are all contained. Looked like he released his testament before coming into this City.”
“You must have some information on where they are living now, don’t you?”
“Yeah. A talented infiltrator told us about them and I sent someone to monitor their activities. He sent me their house number last night.”
“Make sure that the bastard and his daughter get killed tonight and tell your men to eliminate anyone who intervenes,” Mr. Zadiach said with an air of authority.
“Yes sir,” Zane replied to his grandfather and was given the permission to leave.
Just as he left the room, Zane took out his phone to call Magnus. He ordered the arrangement of the Skeletal Assassins and weapons. He knew that David would not be expecting them but he wanted to make sure that they went prepared in case of any surprises. At least he would get to have fun with the lovely hazel-eyed girl he saw in the party down at Star City. Ever since he saw her, nothing in him had rested because he wanted her all to himself before any man came near her. He was a Blue Skeletal and it wasn’t difficult for him to sniff out the fact that she was still a virgin.
