Emily called the emergency number for help. When she looked up again, the hefty man with such a strong body had almost fallen onto the ground.
Her heart, which had been cool and calm over the past two years, tensed. She was so scared and her tears almost burst out.
Hunter would not want to frighten her, but this was the only way that he could see her worrying about him. He held the wall and slowly slid to the ground.
Later, he felt dizzy. He did not know it was because of the unwellness or his intention to make her care.
“Don’t worry. It’s ok.” Seeing Sweety cried, he wished he would stay awake for her, but his vision gradually darkened.
He raised his hand and wiped his forehead. It seemed that he had lost a lot of blood.
“I’m fine.” Well, he was only a little dizzy.
When a hefty person like him fell, everyone would be shocked.
Sweety sobbed, and Emily pressed her jacket against his forehead trying to stop blooding. It did not work.
Hunter’s vision continued to blur. Right before he passed out, he held her hand tightly. “That’s fine…Don’t worry. Just maybe, I’m a little…tired, over the past two years. Take care of…Sweety. I’m …fine.”
“Daddy!” As the man had closed his eyes, Sweety was utterly terrified.
“Mommy, Daddy! Argh…”

Why had Hunter fainted? The doctor gave out quite a few explanations.
“The patient might not have enough sleep for a long time. Additionally, he was depressed and sad. His body may be subconsciously seizing the change for a good rest. Losing too much blood is also a reason. We’re still investigating, however, please don’t worry…”
“How can we not worry?” Liam interrupted him rapidly.
Emily was finally showing concerns about Eldest Young Master Jackson, so how could he tell her not to worry? What if her care about Eldest Young Master Jackson disappear?
Liam looked at Emily, restlessly. “Miss Emily, Eldest Young Master Jackson slept only two or three hours per day for the past two years. He had never had a good rest.
“It was all because he missed you too much and he couldn’t sleep a wink more. Even with sleeping pills, he still could not sleep well.
“He was not as tough and strong as you see from exterior. His body has become frail.”
He would probably get in trouble if Hunter heard him say so. However, it was not time to think of that at that moment.
He continued. “Miss Emily, you have no idea how Eldest Young Master Jackson’s life was in the past two years.”
What a good opportunity for Liam to say this to Emily! He had kept everything in his mind, and the dam had broken.
“Days without you, he lived like a zombie. Nothing could interest him. I was even worried he would suicide if he could not find you.”
Suicide… Hunter would not do that. However, when Liam said he did not sleep well in the past two years, Emily’s heart broke a little. She did not notice that he would be in such agony.
“Miss Emily, I know what I say might offend you, but I really cannot hold it in much longer. Eldest Young Master Jackson had gone through too much pain. Miss Emily, you are not the only one who was hurt by that incident, so did he.
“Many years ago, there were misunderstandings between the Gale family and the Jackson family. After a thorough investigation by Eldest Young Master Jackson, all evidences pointed to one person-Old Master Gale Was…”
“My grandfather would not do such cruel thing!” She did collect some information about that incident as well.
Old Madam Jackson had died tragically. However, it was surely not her grandfather. She trusted him a lot.
“But Old Master Gale was connected somehow. Back in that time, Old Madam Jackson had wanted to elope with Old Master Gale.”
Elope!
Emily stunned for a while—nobody told her about this before.
“It was not my position to say too much about it.” As Liam walked Emily to the aisle, he told everything he knew with all details.
That was why Hunter had wanted to seek revenge from her grandfather. What a big misunderstanding! If she were Hunter, she would have done the same thing.
“I know we could not pretend everything had happened as it did not.”
Emily turned her face away and looked at the sky; her eyes filled with sorrow.
“Well, we wouldn’t be able to go back to the old time.”
“Why not? Don’t you think Eldest Young Master Jackson had be punished and suffered enough for the past two years?”
Liam did not understand why she still hesitated. Did she hate Eldest Young Master Jackson?
“Miss Emily, if you want his death for forgiveness, please tell him that. He would die just to gain that.”
“How is that supposed to help?” Emily looked at him as she shook her head. “That is how men solve problems?” Only with blood?
Liam sighed helplessly.
“I am sorry, Miss Emily. I am not that good at relationship. If I said anything wrong, please do not be mad. I just feel bad for Eldest Young Master Jackson.”
Emily said nothing more, but she felt as bad as he did. However, there was no way for them to return. She could not manage to face all of that again.
Night fell, and Hunter was still in a coma. It seemed he would not wake up again.
Emily cleaned his hands and feet, and talked to him. Yet, he did not have any reaction.
When the doctor checked on him, Emily looked anxious. “Doctor, didn’t you say that it was nothing to worry about? Why is he still sleeping?”
The doctor did not have the answer. Normally, the patient looked strong and healthy, and he might have lost a lot of blood, but it would not cause him to be in a coma with a brick.
“The cerebrum is the most vulnerable and mysterious part of the human body. As far as now, we could not certain if he would get any sequela from that head wound.” The doctor was also unsure why the patient was not awake.
“But don’t worry. His condition is stable, and there will not be a life-threatening situation.”
“Then, when would he be awake?”
“Well…” It was not easy for the doctor to answer the question. Typically, he would have been awake by then. What was wrong with him?
Liam walked in and heard their conversation. His eyes betrayed something in his mind, but he kept it hidden quickly.
“Doctor, is that possible that the patient himself does not wish to wake up?”
“Definitely!” The doctor finally had a reasonable explanation.
He looked at Emily and pondered for a while, then he said, “Did the patient go through any sort of pain in life that might cause him to have no desire to live?”
“No desire to live?” Those words scared Emily. “How could that be?”
He was Eldest Young Master Jackson, and he could possess anything he wants. Why would he not want to live?
“Eldest Young Master Jackson, he, has been truly unhappy with his life.” Liam peeked at her before he turned to the doctor, with a sad face.
“You may not believe it, but he once…almost died because he overdosed sleeping pills.”
At the same time, on the bed, the patient clenched his fists when no one noticed.
‘What was the bastard talking about? Did he want to stain my reputation?
What if the woman dislikes me because of my weakness? What if she leaves because of that?’
Liam felt a sense of coolness on his neck, however, he had to continue as he started the conversation.
He looked at the doctor and sighed. “What if Eldest Young Master Jackson does not want to wake up? Would he be in a coma forever?”
