Emily hated the crying woman in front of her. They were already well hidden. If the b*tch did not scream when she saw a bug, would they have been discovered?
What a pest! ‘Just get caught on your own and don’t drag others into it.’
Wendy cried again when she recalled the previous encounter. She was terrified! Fortunately, Emily was with her. If the same thing were to happen again, at least she would not have to suffer alone.
She wiped the tears off her face. Her face was full of dirt just moments ago, and she felt much better after she cleaned her face.
On the other hand, Emily, who sat in a corner, was on the ground as she rubbed her face with dirt.
Wendy gave her a blank look. “Are you trying to dig a hole with your face to escape?”
Emily ignored her. There was nothing good about that woman apart from her looks. How could she be so stupid to have been murdered so unjustly by the same woman in her past life?
It was clear to her that she must have had a puppet master who pulled all the strings. However, she had not been able to see through Wendy in her past life. She was extremely stupid!
A huge wave struck the hull, and the boat swayed. Wendy lost her balance and fell onto the ground with a thud. She immediately started to wail again.
The door suddenly clicked open.
The frightened Wendy scurried and hid in the corner. Emily also sat up, but she remained shrunk in the corner as if she wanted to reduce her presence.
It was not a large boat, and they had been on the move ever since they left the island. Their kidnappers had thrown them into that little room as soon as they brought them on board. They had no idea where they were headed.
However, one thing was certain; their target was Eldest Young Master Jackson. One would court danger if one were to stay near that man.
“You are with Hunter now?” One of the men approached Wendy.
“Boss, this is the woman. Our brothers have already taken her out for a ride last time. Yet, she managed to become Hunter’s woman after she got back.”
Another masked man walked up to the leader with a smile and said, “Brother Eduard said that the woman would be useful.”
“Will Hunter come for her?”
“Hunter is a man of responsibilities. If something were to happen to his woman, he would definitely come for her,” the henchman said.
Emily’s heart trembled when she heard that. Those people were there for Eldest Young Master Jackson. No one would dare to cross Eldest Young Master Jackson in Bentson, unless they had no other choice or if their life was on the line.
However, there was someone who would not hesitate to go against him.
Paradise Island’s Big Boss! She remembered that person from her past life, and he was insane!
Even though Wendy was scared, she managed to glean something from that information. Everyone knew that Eldest Young Master Jackson placed great importance on her. He would look for her once he knew that she had disappeared. She should be able to stage a heroic rescue of a damsel in distress. Then she would devote her life to him and have a perfect marriage with him.
However, the kidnapper walked toward her. What did that mean?
“Hunter would want something that has been violated?” The leader’s tone was filled with disdain.
“What was in Eldest Young Master Jackson’s mind? Perhaps it was only to maintain his facade.”
“Oh?” The leader stared at Wendy, who trembled in the corner. “She’s quite good looking, but she’s not that stunning.”
Wendy found that hard to swallow. They had actually said that she was not beautiful enough!
The man behind the leader laughed. “She’s Bentson’s Number One Enchantress.”
The leader looked at Wendy and snorted. “Her reputation was greatly exaggerated.”
Wendy glared at him furiously, but she did not dare to speak. Those men had discussed her appearance right in front of her! That was too much! It was one thing to praise her, but that? Those a*sholes!
The leader’s gaze suddenly shifted to Emily. “Who’s this?”
“We found her with Wendy and brought her along.”
Emily sighed in relief; Wendy was their target. If she had known about that, she would have pushed Wendy out and kept herself hidden.
However, she was familiar with Wendy’s behavior. She would not give up unless Emily were dead. She would have exposed her hiding place, anyway.
The leader looked at Emily. Her face was covered with dirt and dust; no one would be able to recognize her. He snorted and ignored the dirty and ugly woman. “Throw her overboard when we’re near the shore. Let her fend for herself.”
“Yes.” A few men pulled her to her feet, and they were about to take her out of the room.
Wendy was stunned. Did that mean they would let Emily go while she had to stay behind? How could she accept that? Why would they release Emily?
She trembled in panic when she recalled the day the men violated her. Hunter had felt so guilty, and he had more pity for her because of the hurt she suffered last time. She did benefit from that misfortune.
However, no matter what, their actions would still cause her injuries. Those people did not know how to treat a woman tenderly. They were monsters! They would hurt her!
“Don’t let her go, she… she’s Emily, and she is Eldest Young Master Jackson’s former fiancée!”
Wendy’s words made the leader turn abruptly to stare at Emily.
Emily’s breathing labored as she felt a chilling stare on her back. It was as if a poisonous snake had wrapped around her. It was a feeling she could not bear!
The two men spun her around. Emily kept still as the leader strode toward her. He squinted his eyes and stared at her face.
“What’s with the dirt on her face?”
“She… she purposely smeared it onto her face!” Wendy finally understood the reasons for Emily’s actions. She had wanted to deceive them! Wendy would not let that happen!
“Smeared it onto herself?” The leader stared into Emily’s eyes.
Emily stared back at him with indifference; she did not speak nor tremble. That woman had courage! Did she smear dirt on herself to look more insignificant so that they would not target her? Had she wanted to trick them? She must be pretty smart!
“Get me some water,” the leader commanded.
One of his henchmen immediately brought a basin of water into the room. Emily struggled, but two henchmen held her above the basin. The leader took a towel from one of the henchmen, dampened it, and proceeded to clean the dirt off Emily’s face. She tried to resist, but in the end, the leader managed to wash her face.
The two men then pulled her onto her feet to face the leader. The eyes behind the leader’s mask suddenly widened in shock.
Stunning! That was the definition of beautiful!
He did not expect Eldest Young Master Jackson’s former fiancée would look so beautiful!
