Chapter 473 Finale, Home Was Wherever You Are

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

Levi was back at the hospital in the evening with a bunch of documents.
Elena had prepared dinner for Michael, and she returned just as Levi exited the wardroom.
“What’s that?” her heart quivered when she saw the documents in Levi’s hands. She did not know why, but she felt uneasy.
Levi was not in a good mood; he was disappointed. However, he was still very respectful when he spoke to Elena.
“These are the agreements signed by Eldest Young Master Williams.”
Levi stared at her as if he wanted to say something. However, he remembered Eldest Young Master Williams’s instructions, so he said nothing.
“Do not concern yourself with it, Miss Elena. You can go in and look after Eldest Young Master Williams. His wound had reopened a little yesterday. The doctor told him to get more rest, but he doesn’t listen to me.”
There was only one person in the world that could get Eldest Young Master to do as he was told.
“What are those? What agreement?”
Elena got even more anxious when Levi dodged her question. She remembered her conversation with Michael the day before that. “Is it—”
“Yes, it is. He had signed an agreement to transfer his shares.”
Levi was disappointed that Eldest Young Master Williams decided to give up everything that he had. It was a drastic change! As his subordinate, he did not want that to happen.
Nevertheless, it was Eldest Young Master Williams’s decision. Levi could only support it.
“Eldest Young Master had transferred all of his shares in Williams Corporation to Third Young Master Williams. He had also tendered his resignation as the CEO of Williams Corporation. He said that he would never return to Bentson, and he is to follow you wherever you go.”
Levi stared at Elena; he knew he could only give them his blessing. “Miss Elena, I hope that you will never run away again. I don’t want to see Eldest Young Master Williams live like a zombie. If you run away, he will search for you, day and night. Plus, he has nothing now. He will look for you even more vigorously.”
She could imagine Michael traversed the world to search for her. Could she bear to see him like that?
“Also, Miss Elena, could you please grant me this request? Please tell Eldest Young Master Williams to bring me with him? I will follow him wherever he goes; I am willing to stay by his side.”
Levi was distraught. If Eldest Young Master Williams left, what would happen to staff like himself? They had been with Eldest Young Master Williams for more than ten, some as many as 20 years. If Eldest Young Master Williams no longer needed them, they would have nowhere else to go. What could they do for their future?
“Nonsense!” Elena did not think that something would happen to them in the future, but how could Michael sign those agreements?
“Don’t send those agreements out first; I’ll talk to him.”
“There’s no point. He is prepared to walk away with you if you don’t return with him.” Levi smiled as he looked at her helplessly.
“Miss Elena, do you not understand Eldest Young Master Williams’s temper by now?”
Elena entered the wardroom with a heavy heart.
She saw Michael changed his clothes, and she got anxious, “What are you doing?”
“Nothing. Just changing my clothes.”
“Where do you think you are going?” He had looked fine; there was no need to change his clothes.
Michael took her hand and looked at her with a serious expression. “I’m afraid that you would run away, so I got changed. At least if you were to run away, I could chase after you immediately with dignity instead of running all over the place in a hospital gown.”
Her heart ached when he said that. She finally cried after she had held back for so long.
That man was crazy!
From the first day she knew him, she knew that the blood in his veins made him crazier than anyone else!
‘I have been entangled with him for two lifetimes, and there have been sadness, despair, happiness, and difficulties. Is it possible to choose to forgive him and start over with him?’
However, what about those she had hurt, and those she had given hope?
On the third morning, Elena met with the man she had given hope, the man she hurt.
He had returned worn out and raggedy.
“I’m sorry.”
Elena’s tears gushed the moment she saw him.
“Are you apologizing to me because you have decided to be with that person?”
Luacs was calm; there was no sadness, bitterness, or anger. It was as if he had anticipated the outcome.
“It’s fine. At least, I don’t have to be so stressed out anymore.”
“Luacs…” What did he mean?
“Because I know that you don’t love me and just see me as a very good friend.”
Luacs sighed out loud and stared out into the horizon. He had suppressed the sadness in his eyes the moment he lowered his head.
He smiled. It was a bright smile, “It was stressful being with someone who does not love me. I’ve been thinking, is it really possible to get intimate with you without any hesitations?”
Elena bit her lips and blushed slightly. Nevertheless, her heart rejected any thoughts of intimacy with Luacs.
“Well, it looks like you are unwilling to do that with me. So, how could I force you to?”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize to me. Just tell me that you can be happy with that man for the rest of your life.”
How could Elena promise him that? She did not even know if she would be happy forever.
“If she is with me, not only would she be happy for the rest of her life, she would be happy throughout her lifetimes.”
An impeccably dressed man emerged from the room and embraced Elena in his arms.
Luacs’s eyes got a little defensive, but there was another level of complexity that Elena did not fully understand.
“You should come home, too,” said Michael.
Elena did not understand him. Luacs should go home? Why did she feel like there was something strange with that statement?
Luacs remained expressionless, but after a while, he said, “If…you are having a wedding, then…I will return.”
“Return where?” Elena got even more confused. Was she missing a part of the puzzle?
Luacs looked at her for a long time before he took a deep breath and said in a soft voice, “Return to the Williams family, to…my family.”
“Luacs…”
“I am a bastard child of the Williams family. I am the seventh child.” Luacs clenched his fist tightly. He had not accepted that identity.
However, he finally gave in to that resistance. He smiled. The soft sunlight fell on his face, and it made his smile even more radiant.
“Let’s go home together, Eldest Sister-in-Law.”

Their home was not too far; it was only a short flight away.
Levi did not send out the agreements that Michael had sighed. Elena said she could not be so selfish to hold up Michael’s entire life.
Michael had no problems with that; he would do whatever his wife commanded of him. He was not only a slave to his daughter, but he was also a slave to his wife. However, it looked like he was a glutton for punishment.
On the private jet, Joseph chatted with the two children; he wanted to bond with them. Levi and Luacs sat at the back.
After they decided to go home, Luacs seemed to smile a lot more. He had always been introverted; perhaps it had something to do with his identity as an illegitimate child.
“You wealthy young masters change women as if they were old clothes. You do not know that your actions could easily ruin a woman’s life or even the life of a child.” Luacs was the perfect example.
Michael took her hand in his. “Look outside.”
“What for?” The blue sky and white clouds were beautiful when one first looked at it, but it quickly became dull.
Michael’s lips curled into a smile as he gazed out the window with her.
“With the heavens and earth as my witness, if I, Michael, touch or provoke any women other than Elena in this lifetime, the heavens will smite me, and I will die a horrible death.”
“Quit talking nonsense!” Elena hurriedly stretched out her hand in panic and covered his big mouth. “Stop this foolishness!”
“There is only one way to prevent me from being a fool.” Michael looked at her.
Elena looked at him with resentment. “What?”
“That is…to seal my lip!” Michael lowered his head and gently pouted, and a kiss was planted on her lips the very next second.
Elena could not resist him, but at that moment, she did not want to resist. She never knew where to put her hands when he kissed her, but she finally looped them around his neck and embraced him tightly.
The blue sky and white clouds outside had served as their witness.
Not only would Elena have Michael as her man in that lifetime, but she would also only have him in any of her lifetimes.
The plane soared through the air headed toward their destination—their home. After two lifetimes, she finally had a home that she could call her own.
She would have the rest of this life to make up for the regrets she had in her past life.
From there onward, her home was wherever he was.
