The old master could not believe his eyes. He could never dream that he would meet the person he had missed the most on the same island. It was his granddaughter, his real granddaughter, his Elena. The duo hugged each other tightly for a long time.
“Elena, why are you here? Why did Eldest Young Master Williams bring you here too? How are you? Did they bully you? Did you get hurt?”
The old man was anxious when he saw the bruise on Elena’s forehead.
“What happened? Who hurt you? Was it Eldest Young Master Williams?”
Elena did not know anything at all; she was just a young girl. That was simply too much if Eldest Young Master Williams vented his anger on her! Elena shook her head as she tried to stifle her sobs.
“It wasn’t him. I accidentally slammed on the steering wheel while I was driving.”
She rubbed her eyes and calmed down eventually.
“Grandfather, Youngest Aunt, why are you both here?”
Sasha felt so guilty after she heard Elena address her as her youngest aunt. She was in distress.
“Elena, have you found out about your real identity?”
“Actually, I’m not sure yet, but I’m pretty confident about it.”
Elena held the old master’s hand tightly. “I sent my hair and Grandfather’s hair in for a test, but the test came out negative.”
“How is that possible?” Both the old master and Sasha were shocked to hear that.
Sasha said, ” Ava had personally admitted that she had used your blood for her DNA test with Dad in Bentson. The result showed that you both are related.”
“Yes, I suspect that someone had switched the samples. The only person who could do that is…”
Elena bit her lower lip. Even then, she still refused to doubt that person. However, the truth was right in front of their eyes, so they could not deny it.
“Maybe Eldest Young Master Williams didn’t want us to reconcile so soon. I believe that he was the one who switched our hair samples.”
“It’s Michael again!” Sasha squeezed her palm tightly as her eyes narrowed.
“What’s wrong? Was it Eldest Young Master Williams… What did he do to you? Is he part of this?”
Elena could feel the knots pulled tightly around her heart. It had hurt! The last thing she wanted to see was that Michael lashed out against the Garcia family, but…
“He did nothing to harm us. On the contrary, he rescued us from the sea and brought us here.”
Old Master Garcia held her hand and sighed helplessly.
“I think I can understand him. He doesn’t want to join forces with Ava, yet he doesn’t want to see me well, and so he left us here.”
“Since he doesn’t want to work with Ava, why doesn’t he want our family to do well?”
Sasha could not understand it. Was her father’s conversation with Eldest Young Master Williams earlier related to that matter?
She looked at her father, and her doubts got even more disturbing. “Dad, is there a feud between the two of you? Was there some kind of bad blood between Garcia Corporation and Williams Corporation?”
It was inevitable to have competition in businesses. If he were to seek revenge for such a petty issue, how many companies had competed with Williams Corporation in the past? How many people would he need to retaliate against?
The old master chose to remain silent and kept things to himself. Sasha knew that the old master and the Williams family must have had some animosity, but he refused to talk about it. Things were at a point of no return, and they had no way to stop it from going awry.
“Elena, bring your grandfather back to his room for a rest. I’ll go and check out how the speedboat works.”
Sasha was worried sick. She was concerned about the future of their Garcia family.
“Hopefully, Joseph can turn the tide around and not let Ava act arbitrarily.”
“Brother Joseph…” Elena didn’t want to break their hopes, but she had to tell them about that.

It was chaotic in Garcia Corporation that day. Joseph had not returned, and no one could reach out to him. The board of directors was gathered in the conference room, and the reason was to remove Joseph as the CEO and appoint Ava to replace him.
“My dad will never simply appoint you as the CEO.” Lottie was the first one to stand up and objected to the idea.
“Yes, we can’t accept this proposal unless the chairman returns and talks to us personally.”
A group of older directors, who were the company’s backbones and held some shares, were on Lottie’s side.
“Auntie, Grandfather appointed me as the new CEO. I also have the equity transfer agreement from him.”
Ava sat in the leading position, and the person who sat next to her was one of the older shareholders of Garcia Corporation! Even though he was not one of the company’s backbones, he was a senior, Old Master Garcia’s stepbrother, and Lottie’s second uncle.
“This agreement has been verified by a lawyer. It is real and effective. Ava is to take over his shares from now onward.”
“Second Uncle! She is not Dad’s granddaughter, not the Garcia family’s real granddaughter. She is a sham!”
Lottie glared at Ava. “Also, she got her people to take Dad and Sasha away, and we still don’t know where they are now! I have already made a police report, and she will be investigated!”
