Since he was determined to make it up to her, then he should do it properly.
Material wealth meant little to the old master. He came from nothing, and he knew that money could not be brought to the afterlife.
However, he did care about Garcia Corporation’s future growth and whether they could take care of the thousands of employees’ well being.
“If the stocks are transferred to you, Garcia Corporation must maintain its current model. You have to listen to your Brother Joseph. He has much experience in managing Garcia Corporation.”
Old Master Garcia stared at Ava. That was his only request.
Ava nodded hastily, “Garcia Corporation will remain as it is. There is absolutely no problem with that.”
She hoped that he would just sign the stock transfer agreement.
She had lawyers on board with her, so that if they were to sign it, the agreement would be valid!
“Grandfather, please quickly sign it,” urged Ava again.
The old master sighed again. Finally, he picked up the pen and was about to put his signature down! Suddenly, the door burst open, and Sasha walked in hurriedly.
“Dad, how much stock does she want?”
Sasha’s expression was somber. If she had not overhead the lawyer talking on the phone, she would not have known that the situation had progressed to that point!
“Sasha, what are you doing?” Ava stood up abruptly and was about to chase her out.
The old master frowned. “Ava, she is your Aunt, you mustn’t be rude to her.”
Ava had created many small troubles for them since she arrived at their home, but she was courteous toward her family members.
She had just addressed Sasha by name, and the old master could not accept that attitude.
Although he loved her, he would not want to spoil her and turn her into a rude and pampered child.
Sasha rushed toward them and snatched the agreement from him.
She went crazy as soon as she saw that Ava wanted all 30 percent of the shares.
” Ava, you are outrageous! You want to swallow all of Garcia Corporation!”
Their initial agreement was that Ava would get ten percent and then transfer five percent to her discreetly. That was what Sasha could accept.
Indeed, she wanted a portion of Garcia Corporation’s shares; she wanted to give them to her son.
That five percent would secure her son’s future in Garcia Corporation.
She never expected Ava would be so ambitious as to demand thirty percent! She was crazy!
“Dad, do not sign the agreement!”
“What are you doing, Sasha? Why are you causing trouble now?”
Ava stared at her threateningly. The agreement that they signed in secret was still in her room back at home.
It was detrimental to Sasha as well if it were exposed. Was she not afraid?
She had betrayed her father and the entire Garcia family!
Did she dare to expose all of it?
Sasha stood to lose either way, so Ava’s threatening stare made her hesitate.
However, as she looked back at her elderly father, her heart could not bear to be so ruthless.
She took a deep breath and said, “Dad, Ava is not your biological granddaughter. Do not let her deceive you anymore.”
“What did you say?” The old master was so shocked that he almost had a heart attack.
“Sasha, do you know what you are doing?”
Ava’s blood boiled in anger, and she shouted, “Men! Get her out of here!”
“Dad, Ava is not your biological granddaughter. The DNA test you did with her in Bentson; it was not her blood. Joseph had also discovered this!”
“Sasha!”
“What the hell is going on?” The old master lifted his blanket and stared at the two men who had just rushed into the room.
“Explain yourself. Otherwise, I won’t sign this agreement even if you took Sasha away.”
Sasha’s heart soured as she stared at her father.
Even though she was angry at her father for threatening her son that way, they had been very amicable as they lived together as a family for all those years.
She was also very close to her elder sister, Lottie.
Perhaps they had been daughters, and so they did not scheme and plot like families with many sons.
Their family had lived together in harmony before Ava’s arrival.
However, they had so many countless incidents after she did, and they were tired of them.
Ava stared coldly at the old master unflinchingly. “Grandfather, you have been treating me so well! Is this compensation enough?”
” Ava, you can quit with the act now. You are not part of our family. Elena is the real Garcia family’s granddaughter!”
“What did you say?”
The old master felt as if countless needles pricked his heart. He started to feel pain!
Elena was his actual biological granddaughter; was that true?
It was an earth-shattering revelation, and when he heard it for the first time, he felt like he had looked forward to it. If Elena were his biological granddaughter, then everything would be perfect!
Nevertheless, what about what had happened between Elena and Joseph?
The old master’s face turned pale when he recalled that they had been in bed together. His upright body slumped back down onto the bed with a thud.
“Elena and Joseph…”
“It’s not like that, Dad! They did not have that kind of relationship!”
Sasha moved toward her father, but two burly men blocked her path.
She quickly said, “They were drugged, therefore…Dad, they didn’t have such a relationship. I promise you!”
She had a hand in that; she was the one that measured the precise dosage for them.
Even if she felt that the old master was biased toward Joseph, she would not jeopardize the children or the Garcia family’s reputation as she was their aunt.
If anything were to befall them, the future of the Garcia family’s children would be ruined.
“They did not do anything. Dad, do not worry. They did no such thing.”
Sasha became anxious when she saw the old master’s face had ashen.
She tried to go to her father, but the two men still blocked her way.
” Ava, how dare you treat us like this. When we get back, I will make you regret this!”
Sasha wanted to push her way through. However, she was forced back, and she fell onto the floor.
“Ava, how dare you!”
“Why would I not?
There was no way to recover from that.
‘Sasha, you idiot!’ She did not expect her to pull something like that at the end!
“Did you suddenly grow a conscience?” She stared at Sasha and sneered, “Sasha, do you think you are worthy enough?”
Sasha picked herself up from the ground but did not know what to say.
She felt guilty. After all, she was the one who lured her father out there!
Ava stared disdainfully at the old Master Garcia who gasped for air as he laid on the bed. Her lips curled.
“Do you think your daughter treated you well? The reason she lured you here was to get a piece of your inheritance!”
“Five percent of Garcia Corporation. That was all it took for her to betray you. What good is a daughter like that?”
