Chapter 355 Do You Want to Beg Me?

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

Call the police? Eldest Young Master Williams wanted to call the police? Was he kidding? How could he get Levi to call the police? That was… his ex-fiancée, a girl he had bullied… not too long ago, was she not?
When did he ever make a joke? He had never joked in his life! It was true that he asked Levi to call the police. He wanted the police to deal with Elena!
Then, Eldest Young Master Williams left. Levi looked at Elena; he was in a dilemma. It did not seem like Michael was joking, but did he really want to get the police involved? Did he really want to send the young madam to the police station?
Ava was injured, and Old Master Garcia was worried about his granddaughter. Even though he pitied Elena, he could not leave his granddaughter. After a moment of hesitation, Old Master Garcia left with Michael; they sent Ava to the hospital to treat her wound.
“Henry, this thing…” Joseph glanced at Elena, who was in Henry’s arms; he could not even hate her. He had no idea what the girl had gone through, but she seemed to have lost control over her emotions.
“I will contact you again.” Henry glanced at Joseph.
Joseph nodded and caught up with his grandfather. Levi had been put in a difficult position, but before he could figure out what to do, someone had already called the police. It was Ewan.
Levi knew that Ewan took Ava’s side. No matter how he judged Ava, Ewan thought that Ava was kind and graceful. The eldest young master had ordered them to make a police report, and if he refused to do so, Ewan was happy to do it for him.
Elena was taken to the police station. Even if Henry wanted to bail her out, he would have to wait for at least 24 hours later. Ava was still with Michael, so they had no update for Henry. He would only wait. It had been a long night, and he was extremely worried about Elena. She was in the lockup by herself, and he wondered about her situation.
At around four in the morning, several people appeared at the police station. No one knew why Eldest Young Master Williams was there, but he was not alone. There was also a girl with disheveled hair with him. It was not sure if she was injured, but her mental state seemed fragile. The place he went was not the same place that Henry was at, so the two did not meet. As for Elena, she sat quietly by herself until after four in the morning. She was then taken to another room.
“The person who filed the complaint against you says that he would withdraw the charges if you were to display a good attitude and apologize for your behavior.”
Elena was not sure if she understood what the other party had said. The police officer saw her dull eyes and knew that she was in a daze, so he did not care to explain further. When they arrived at the door, the officer studied her face. Elena looked pale, and she did not seem like a malicious person, so the officer took pity on her.
He persuaded her. “You are still a student, and you have a good future ahead of you. You ought to know how to seize the opportunity.
“If things that can be resolved quietly, so try to get them solved peacefully. Otherwise, it will impact your future once you have a record on the file. Do you understand that?”
Elena had no expression on her face, and she did not respond at all. The officer sighed as he wondered about the things that the girl had been through to suffer such a blow. She did not seem to be in the right frame of mind.
Finally, he opened the door and gently pushed Elena into the room. Elena thought that she would see Ava there. She had even made up her mind to end both of their lives.
However, she was appalled to see Michael in the room. The office pushed her toward the chair and pressed her onto it.
“You can talk here. Call us if there is a problem.”
Eldest Young Master Williams did not speak. The officer nodded at him and left as he closed the door behind him. Only two of them were left in the room. Michael’s eyes were locked onto her face.
Her face was as pale as a piece of white paper. Even though they had met several times in the past few days, she seemed to have lost a lot of weight after they were separated for a month. She looked so scrawny that the wind could have blown her off her feet. Did Second Young Master Sharp not feed her enough? He wanted to smoke, and he twitched his index finger slightly only to recall that he was in a non-smoking area.
“Don’t you want to beg me?” Michael’s thin lips moved, his voice was icy cold.
Elena did not answer. She just looked at him blankly. It was rare for her to be so calm and quiet in front of him. She seemed to be exhausted and emotionally drained that day.
“So your plan is to not to speak to me? Just like that?”
Michael raised an eyebrow. “Are you not afraid of going to jail?”
Elena pursed her lips and remained silent. Usually, Eldest Young Master Williams would have lost his patience by then and stormed out of the room, but he was particularly composed that night. In fact, his tolerance was way better than anyone had expected. He leaned against the back of the chair and curled his lips into a grin.
“Even if you don’t care about your future, shouldn’t you be concerned about your friend’s future?
“What’s that girl’s name again? Lois?”
“What have you done to Lois?” Elena leaned forward so suddenly that she almost threw herself onto the table. Only then did Michael realized that she was handcuffed. The cold metal of the handcuff shackled her pale and feeble hands; it was a pitiful sight. His eyes seemed colder than usual; he did not pity her.
“She had deliberately hurt Ava, so now she is in the police station.”
A sudden wave of coldness enveloped Elena when she learned that Lois had behaved so rashly after she listened to her.
Ava admitted that she had hurt Layla. If Elena got out of control after she heard that, Lois would too! Layla was their friend! Whenever Elena was away, Layla and Lois had been with each other every day. They were like sisters!
“Ava is a murderer. Like her mother, she is a murderer!”
She held her hands tightly and glared at Michael; her breathing was labored!
“You all failed to distinguish right from wrong! You are all blind!”
Michael was not ruffled by that at all. He was indifferent and aloof to her scolding.
“What do you want from me? Why are you here?”
Elena was not stupid. If Eldest Young Master Williams wanted to sue her, he would not need to go there himself. What did he want?
“What do I want to do?”
Michael’s eyes narrowed as he smirked.
“Little thing, you seem to love this question. Haven’t I given you a direct answer every time you asked this question?”
Elena flinched. The memories of her in his car flooded her mind!
“Do you remember now?” Michael’s smile sent chills down her spine.
Suddenly, he leaned toward her. Elena was frightened by his cold aura, and so she retreated subconsciously.
Michael simply said, “If you move backward, you will never hear about your classmates.”
Elena squeezed her palms as she tried to suppress her fear and forced herself to face him.
“The matter has nothing to do with Lois. She listened to me, and I was the one that instigated it. I will bear all the consequences.”
