Chapter 345 The Longer She Stayed, The More Uneasy She Became

He took all the blame, but what did he do wrong? When two people find each other companionable, was it not natural for things to progress that way?
Henry had done nothing wrong. She should be the one to shoulder the blame.
“I… I have to go to university. I need to get up.”
Elena lowered her head as she put away the first aid kit. Then he turned around and walked into the bathroom. After she washed up, she looked at her pale face in the mirror and tightly clenched her fists.
‘Elena, you cannot continue to be so vulnerable!’
Her situation had hurt not only herself but also the people around her.
Michael was nothing but a demon. He could be overcome and defeated! She had to stand up for herself! She should not continue to be depressed!
She did her best to smile at her image in the mirror. Life had to go on.
When she got out of the bathroom, Elena had put on a relaxed face.
“Let’s go. I have classes this morning.”

It was a rare occasion when the class belle attended class. The boys looked at Elena like bees drawn to a flower.
“Look at them. How did they reject you when you were ugly? And now? You’re the class belle?”
Layla grunted in disdain. “These superficial boys.”
Elena was uncomfortable with that, but she would have to get used to it. Just as they were about to head to class, Lois hurried toward them.
“Elena, after class is over, we’ll have to go to Jiang University,” she said as she panted for breaths.
“What for?” Elena tidied her books and prepared the materials for her class.
Lois took a deep breath before she said, “Jiang University is holding a bazaar. There’s plenty of good and cheap things!”
“Wow! Jiang University’s girls are all rich and powerful. There must be plenty of brand names during their annual auction.”
Layla got excited when she learned that. “I heard that many of them are brand new too!”
“Yeah, it’s so that they can perform well in their class charity sales. Many of them simply buy new items and bring them to the cheap charity sale.”
They had only started their freshman year, and for the first time since they entered university, they finally had a chance to experience Jiang University’s legendary and extraordinary bazaar.
Lois had looked forward to the bazaar for a long time. Those rich girls did not care about money at all—they only wanted results. They would not mind if they lost some money in the process. They were filthy rich anyway. One would be lucky to be able to purchase an expensive item at a lower price!
“But isn’t the bazaar only open next week?” Layla tried to dial down her excitement.
When their lecturer arrived, Layla lowered her voice and said, “I clearly heard that it was scheduled for next week.”
“Well, a super-rich person wanted to donate a laboratory building to Jiang University.”
Lois also lowered her voice so that the lecturer would not hear her from the podium.
“They had a last-minute decision to hold the bazaar on that day to accommodate that rich person.”
“Who could be so powerful?”
“Who knows? There’s no shortage of rich people in Bentson anyway.”
When she noticed that Elena was completely unimpressed, Layla gently tugged at the corner of Elena’s clothes. “Let’s go together!”
“But I don’t need anything.” Elena was not interested in brand names.
Layla glared at her. “You’re gonna make more people hate you; you know that?”
“I don’t mean that.” Elena was a little helpless. “I just said I don’t need those brand names…”
“What you said will only make people hate you more!” Lois also glared at her.
That was excessive and unacceptable!
Elena pinched the area between her eyes. “I don’t mean that either…”
“We understand!” Layla rolled her eyes. “You just don’t like brand names.”
“But, we do!” She had a rich boyfriend in Second Young Master Sharp, and if she ever wanted anything, then he would definitely buy it for her.
However, they did not have that luxury! They lacked cheap and branded items!
“Just accompany us for a walk. It’ll only be ten when the class is over. We have about two hours to kill before lunch.”
“Yeah, after working for so long, your nerves are all tensed up. Can’t you take a break?”
The two of them were on either side of Elena, and they tugged at her sleeves to get her to agree with them.
“Elena, come with us! Come with us!”
Elena was really annoyed by them, and if they continued like that, she would not need to listen to that lesson anymore.
“Okay, fine, I’ll go.” She rubbed her temples. “Now be quiet. I want to listen to the lecturer.”
Lois and Layla smiled at each other and immediately kept quiet.
They did not actually need those items, but they had noticed Elena’s mood. They hoped that she would feel better if she took a walk with them. She should not be depressed by herself.

Ava really could not figure out why her grandfather wanted to go there and donate a laboratory building to the university. That university should be proud that she had attended her course there! Their donation would make it look like the university had done them a favor when they accepted her enrollment.
“Didn’t we already agree that we’d go back to City L today?” Ava grumbled as she held Old Master Garcia’s arm.
She wanted to settle the matter quickly. She tried to hurry back to City L so that they could announce that she was the Garcia family’s granddaughter as soon as possible. That way, her net worth would immediately rise.
Some things might happen if she stayed in Bentson for too long.
“Things in City L are settled. It’s fine even if we go back a bit later. Grandfather hasn’t thanked your adoptive parents properly yet.”
Old Master Garcia patted her hand and smiled.
“Uncle Garcia and Aunt Ye said that they would go to City L to see me. Grandfather can talk to them again when the time comes.”
Ava simply did not want them to stay there any longer.
She could always come back on her own in the future, but she wanted her grandfather and elder cousin brother to return to City L as soon as possible. They should never step foot in Bentson again. The longer they stayed in Bentson, the more uneasy she was about it.
“Grandfather, why don’t we go back to City L now? I really want to meet all of my family.”
She tugged at Old Master Garcia’s sleeves and watched as Jiang University’s entrance got closer. She had no clue what was in her mind. In short, she felt a little uneasy about it.
However, the b*tch was at Ning University, and they were headed toward Jiang University.
Even though the two universities were close to each other, they were not the same. That b*tch would have no reason to be there.
“Very well. Since my good granddaughter is so homesick, we’ll go back after we meet your adoptive parents for a meal.”
Old Master Garcia continued to smile and said, “Do you have another sister called Elena?”
“Grandfather! Why do you… ask this?” Ava’s fingers tightened, and the smile on her face froze.
“I thought she was my granddaughter. I did a background check on her and imagined her to be my daughter for quite some time.”
“Grandfather…”
“Don’t be angry, my good granddaughter. I know that I have made a mistake, but I would still like to see this Elena.”
After all, he had imagined her to be his granddaughter for a long time until they did a DNA test with Ava. So, he still wanted to meet her.
“She… She’s a bit rebellious, and she doesn’t look pretty too. I’m worried she… would offend Grandfather.”
Ava frowned. Why did that damn b*tch have to take what was hers?
The old man smiled and said, “I don’t think Elena is ugly at all. It’s just a few extra freckles, it’s fine. She doesn’t know anything right now, so it’s normal for her to be rebellious at this age.”
Suddenly, Joseph—who was in the front seat—remarked, “Grandfather, we’ve reached Jiang University.”
