Chapter 328 She’s Now with Eldest Young Master Williams

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

Talia’s child…
Henry was about to say something, but Grace got ahead of him. “May I ask why you wanted to know about this?”
Henry looked at her. Her courage seemed to have come out of nowhere. She even dared to respond to Old Master Garcia with a question. Did she not know that the person in front of her could pinch them to their deaths just as easily as one would pinch an ant?
Ever since the charade she put on in front of the Williams family, Grace was someone who had seen and experienced greatness. For some reason, something began to brew in her mind when she heard Joseph mentioned Talia’s child.
Talia’s child was from a great background! She never expected that the Garcia family would look for that little b*tch, too.
“Old Master Garcia, we’ve promised Talia that we can’t simply divulge any information about her and—”
She glanced at Henry and gestured with her eyes. Henry could only squeeze the glass as he broke out in a cold sweat. He did not dare say anything else!
Old Master Garcia sighed and nodded. “That’s… prudent.”
Joseph remained expressionless and continued to ask, “We’re looking for Talia’s child because of something important, of course. Please tell us where she is now.”
They had already done a search of their own before they went to Bentson, but many of the incidents had happened far too long ago. They still wanted to listen to accounts from people who had been present when things happened.
After all, Henry and Grace were the ones with Talia back then. Old Master Garcia was anxious to learn the truth, so he did not overthink about other matters. Joseph, however, was much calmer than him.
Even though Grace was a little panicky, she remained firm on her position.
“I’d also like to… I’d like to know why you’re looking for Talia’s child.”
“Are you and Talia… close?” The old man’s expression and eyes softened.
They did not look like they were the enemies at all. It was even quite possible that they had an excellent relationship with Talia.
Grace weighed her words, observed the old man’s facial expressions, and immediately pulled a straight face and feigned indifference.
“Old Master Garcia, even though our little Garcia family is not comparable to yours, Talia and I were old friends. I promised her not to mess things up for her!”
Old friends— those were the words Grace had used. Even Henry had found them ironic. However, there must have been a reason for his wife to say that.
Ever since Ava entered the Mu household, stayed with Eldest Young Master Williams, and received Old Master Williams’s adoration, Henry realized that his wife was a competent person. That was why Henry was willing to listen to her on various matters.
Old Master Garcia became incredibly happy when he heard that. “You’re very loyal to Talia! Good, that’s very good!”
It was definitely a blessing for Talia to have such a good friend!
Without waiting for Joseph to speak, the old man said, “I suspect that Talia’s child is… our Garcia family’s flesh and blood.”
“What?” Henry stood up abruptly from the sofa. The cup in his hand slipped, and he spilled tea everywhere.
Even though Grace was also startled, she had expected that revelation. She had considered the probability of that matter.
The children in the Garcia family might not have known the truth about Talia, but the adults knew what had happened. She called Elena an illegitimate child because Talia had her out of wedlock.
Grace knew that Talia did not have much affection for the Garcia family men, and it was Henry who was madly in love with Talia. Of course, that had happened in the past. She would not admit it even if she were beaten to her death.
Whenever she spoke to others, she always referred to Talia as a vixen, an unchaste bar girl, and a woman who seduced Henry. No one expected Henry to acknowledge Elena as his daughter. Why would he bring an illegitimate child home to split the family assets with their own daughter?
The old man’s words confirmed Grace’s thoughts. Elena was not Henry’s daughter. That damn man raised someone else’s daughter for so many years because he loved Talia so much.
However, Grace still pretended to look shocked. Her hand trembled, and she also spilled her tea onto the ground.
Old Master Garcia did not mind that as he understood their shock. He was distressed as he looked at Henry. He anxiously asked, “I’ve already told you my purpose for our trip. So, can you tell me where Talia’s child is?
“Is she… Is it…? Is she… Elena?”
It appeared that they did not run an investigation before they headed to Bentson, which gave Grace an edge.
Henry was flabbergasted. He was utterly shocked, surprised, and in disbelief. He did not need to fake any of his emotions.
“She… She… Talia’s child… is now …”
Grace looked at the old man and smiled. “With the Williams family, with Eldest Young Master Williams.”

It was late, so Old Master Garcia could not visit the Williams family that night even though he was anxious to go there. For better or for worse, he would have to wait until after dawn to visit them. Even though the Garcia family was very powerful in City L, the Williams family was equally influential in Bentson.
They were not like Henry’s family, where one could just visit whenever one pleased. It was already three in the morning—an ungodly hour, indeed. It would be best to wait until the sun came up.
“You! Why did you… How… Argh! We can’t hide this!”
Henry dragged his wife into their room and slammed the door closed. He lowered his voice and had a reproachful look on his face.
“He’s Elena’s grandfather. We can’t keep this lie if they ask for a DNA test.”
The Garcia family’s desire to find their granddaughter was completely different than when Old Madam Williams wanted to acknowledge her. She did not dare say anything, so it was difficult to take Ava for a DNA test.
Meanwhile, things were different with Old Master Garcia. He did not need to lie, so he could openly ask for a DNA test! How could they continue to keep it a secret?
“Ava is still with Eldest Young Master Williams. Are you going to ruin her plans from here onward?”
Grace stared at her incompetent husband and exhaled angrily. “If Eldest Young Master Williams finds out that we lied to him, how many times do we’ll have to die to atone for our sins?”
They were already between a rock and a hard place—all they could do was to move forward, instead of backward!
“But the Garcia family would definitely ask for a DNA test with Ava! There’s no way you can continue with the lie!”
Grace ignored him. She took out her phone and immediately called Ava. Her daughter did not pick up her call, and it was the same with her second, third, and fourth attempts…
At that point, Ava was already asleep, though no one knew if she shared the same bed as Eldest Young Master Williams.
Still, Grace needed to inform her about the updates! They could not afford the delays! After all, Old Master Garcia would head toward the Williams family to look for her the next morning.
Finally, when she called for the sixth time, Ava picked up, and her hoarse voice echoed from the phone, “Do you know what time is it now? Are you going to let me—”
“Weizi, I have something very important to tell you. Is it convenient for you to speak now?” Grace asked urgently.
Ava was a little impatient, but she still managed to hold her temper. “Tell me. I’m alone.”
Why was she alone? Had she not been with Eldest Young Master Williams recently?
However, Grace thought little of it. She simply held the phone and lowered her voice to a whisper. “Ava, listen to me, do you know City L’s Garcia family? They’re a very powerful family in the pharmaceutical business.”
“Of course.” Eldest Young Master Williams was in the beauty and cosmetics business. They had bought many formulations from City L’s Garcia family.
Grace clenched her fist and cautiously said, “You have to listen clearly to every word that I’m going to say.”
“Hurry up.” Ava yawned.
Grace knew that Ava was not in a good mood, so she could only quickly say, “Old Master Garcia came to our house tonight. He was looking for Talia’s child. He said… He said that the child might be his granddaughter.”
