Chapter 130 He Is the Demon

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

Layla’s friends followed her gaze, and they saw a tall and slender man as he strolled toward them. He looked about 1. 9 meters in height!
His most prominent feature seemed to be his ponytail at the back of his head. It was pretty long, but it did not lessen his masculinity as he still looked clean and handsome. His intense eyes were far more beautiful than the stars in the sky. He had a tall caucasian nose bridge and sexy thin lips that were as red and as luscious as jelly.
There was a beauty mole at the corner of his eye, but it was not very noticeable due to the color of his skin. However, its subtle looming had caught many attention.
The top two buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned. He had a wild and sexy appearance, but he did not look frivolous. Even if he was a lavish person, he was equally charming and handsome. No woman would mind it if he had his way with them! His appearance took Elena’s breath away too. That man looked more beautiful than a woman, and yet he was not feminine. His entire presence exuded a strong wave of male hormones.
Since it was already very late, he did not only attract attention from their table, but he had probably turned many heads as he passed by them. Why was he so brave to wander the street at night? There had been many cases… Eww, yuck! She should get that filthy thought out of her head! Elena pulled herself together and slapped the back of Layla’s head.
“Have you never seen a handsome guy? Is Caleb not handsome enough for you? What about Luacs? What are you looking at?”
“Ouch! What are you doing? How can Caleb compare with him? Luacs is so rigid. Well… Ahem!”
Shocked by what had escaped from her mouth, Layla hurriedly lowered her head to sip her drink and stopped talking at once. However, she could stop stealing a few looks at that guy discreetly, and he had taken the table next to theirs. He had such handsome facial features, a slender frame, and such graceful temperament. Why would he eat at a roadside stall?
Elena glanced at Luacs. She had a feeling that the guy was not someone who would dine at such a place. He was not luxuriously dressed; he wore a very low-profile outfit. However, it was clear that he had the air of an affluent young master. Luacs shook his head. He could sense that the man posed no harm to them.
Elena bit her lower lip. Since Luacs affirmed that there was no immediate danger, she would not worry about it. She found the original sketch of Rufus’s work on her mobile phone and showed it to everyone.
“This is the draft. I don’t know how you found it, but these lines are rough, and they look awful.”
“I stumbled upon it online. I thought that since it was only an assessment and not for commercial purposes, I could just use that instead.”
Rufus felt a little guilty. He did not intend to plagiarise other people’s work. He had only used it as a reference for his coloring task.
“I am not accusing you of anything. Stop being so nervous.”
Elena smiled and further explained, “I asked you that day if you completed the rest of the work on your own besides the sketch.”
“Of course, I did!” He had only taken the draft from someone else, and he had painted all the colors by himself!
“That’s why I think you should not do coloring anymore.”
Just as Rufus’s face was about to collapse again, Elena continued, “For this project, I think you can be a sketcher to outline the lines of a rough sketch.”
“Outline lines?” He was good at it, but had she not noticed their chief sketcher’s exceptional skill?
Aryan’s drawing was so precise that he did not need someone to define his sketch. He was not only quick at drawing, but he could also produce an almost flawless sketch! It was superfluous to outline Aryan’s sketches. The person who would color his sketches could easily fix the minimal flaws with a few simple strokes of colors. Would that not make it unnecessary to outline the sketches?
Rufus looked at Aryan, but the latter only bowed his head to eat. He did not say a single word all night long. That was his personality; he was an extremely quiet person. Fortunately, he was still willing to mingle with everyone else. Even though Lois knew nothing about painting, she was the one who evaluated his work, and she was probably the most familiar with his potential.
“Elena, with Aryan’s skill, we do not need someone to outline the lines.”
“If Aryan were to draw two chapters a day, would he not need someone to help him with the lines?”
“Two chapters a day? Forty-block chapter?” Layla almost spat her drink everywhere.
She had choked on her drink!
“Elena, are you… kidding me?” Layla sputtered as she choked.
Even the most outstanding sketcher could probably complete three chapters per week, and that was already a fantastic speed. Elena had mentioned two chapters per day, and that was simply crazy! Even Aryan stared at Elena. Although he was confident with his abilities, he knew that it was near-impossible for him to draw two chapters a day.
Aryan said plainly, “Even if I sacrifice my sleep and the hours for my classes, I could only draw one chapter a day, and not a chapter more.”
Even Aryan had told her so. Two chapters per day was an impossible feat.
“You told me that you drew five pages in three hours. I checked the hottest comic platform, and each of their chapters had about forty blocks, which would equal 12 or 13 pages.”
“That’s right. I may not even be able to finish a chapter in a day…”
Elena interrupted him with a confident smile.
“Now, if you were to only draw rough sketches without defining the lines, then we could get someone to help you with the outlines. With two people to help with coloring, I believe that we could achieve two chapters in a day.”
If it was just a draft and not a defined sketch, then two chapters per day…
Aryan thought about that very carefully before he looked at Elena. “Are you planning to finish a medium-length comic before the preliminary round?”
“Well, it’s a comic with a long storyline. I reckoned that we could finish the first part and continue to work on the second part if we get good results.”
As long as they could complete the ending for the first part, then it was considered a finished work on its own. They could then use that to qualify for the preliminary round.
“The first part would have about forty chapters. The preliminary round is in the middle of the month, so we still have about half a month to go.”
“With only half a month to go, two chapters a day is not enough…”
“Well, he would have to complete at least three chapters a day on the weekends.”
Three chapters a day! It was absolutely crazy! Even a god could not make that happen!
Elena filled a bowl with porridge and pushed it toward Aryan with a wide grin. Everyone thought that her smile looked more like a death note.
“Come on, eat a bit more. Tonight is your last day of indulgence. Starting tomorrow, you will have to work hard.”
It sounded like he was bound for hell after that night.
Layla shook her head. “Forty chapters in half a month. That’s impossible. We’re too late…”
“If you cannot catch up to Caleb’s pace in coloring, I will kill you.”
Elena smiled, but it was a terrifying grin.
Layla shuddered. “Elena, you… you are so terrible! Why is your gaze so horrible!”
“How am I terrible? I’m so gentle and lovely.”
Elena patted her face and did not feel guilty at all.
“Yes!” Layla insisted. “Since you have been with that terrible man, you have become as horrible as him! He had influenced you, somehow!”
“Nonsense!” Elena was reluctant to admit it. “I am not influenced by that demon!”
“Ahem!” The incredibly handsome guy from the next table chuckled.
So Eldest Young Master Williams was equivalent to a demon in the eyes of his beautiful little wife?
