Chapter 119 Would They Break Up After Two Years?

Elena went downstairs around lunchtime. She was dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans with her usual freckled face. Michael sat on the sofa in the living hall as he worked on his laptop. She was surprised that such a busy person with a hectic schedule did not go to the office that day and worked from home instead.
“Eldest Young Master Williams.”
Elena could only pretend that she had forgotten about the event from the previous night. Images of those crazy moments, his sweaty face, and his strong and muscular arms flooded her mind. She could not suppress the blush that covered her face. Apart from the weird expressions on her face, she still looked pretty normal.
When he saw her freckled face, Michael felt a sense of familiarity. It was not that her clean face was not beautiful, but her freckled face looked very familiar. She was back, indeed. Elena had walked right up to him and called his name softly.
Michael replied plainly, “Mmm.”
He knitted his brows together as he looked at her outfit. “Are you going out?”
Would she dare to go out even after such a horrible experience? She had almost gone through hell. However, the main instigator had been sent to the asylum, so it should be safe for Elena to go out.
“I need to go to see Layla and my friends. They are all worried about me.”
Even though she had assured Layla over the phone that she was alright, she knew that they would still worry if they did not see her in person.
“I looked totally different from last night, so I think I’ll be alright.”
Did he also fail to recognize her from first glance? Her disguise must have been very successful. Michael did not say anything, but the previous night… The man looked up, and his eyes gazed at her body, but that made her feel uncomfortable, and her entire body felt inflamed.
She was reminded again at how he was aroused, and her body got even more heated and uncomfortable. No way! She had to get away from the man. Otherwise, she would be reminded of those embarrassing moments again. Her heart pounded much faster than she could handle.
She took another look at Eldest Young Master Williams, and he looked back at her with his usual calm demeanor. Sadly, Elena realized that he had not changed even though they had spent a steamy, passionate night together. As for her, she had behaved like a timid mouse who ran and hid before a cat could catch it.
She took a few deep breaths and then attempted to feign a calm look. “Eldest Young Master Williams, I’ll take my leave now.”
“Li…” His voice stopped, and he abruptly changed to call out, “Ewan.”
Ewan appeared out of nowhere and positioned himself before them. “Eldest Young Master, how may I help?”
He had such professionalism. As a bodyguard, Ewan was perpetually around them, but he never made them uncomfortable with his presence. They had never noticed where he was most of the time, yet he had always appeared at lighting speed whenever they needed him. That was very impressive, indeed!
“Send Young Madam to wherever she wants to go,” Michael ordered.
“No, it’s ok. I can go out on my own. Just get me a driver…”
Ewan was Eldest Young Master Williams’s best bodyguard. She felt unfit to enjoy Ewan’s service. Michael’s cold eyes stared at her, and it scared Elena so much that she swallowed her words forcefully. His gaze told her that she might as well not go out if she refused Ewan’s company.
Elena sighed and turned helplessly toward Ewan. “I’m sorry for the trouble.”
“Not at all, Young Madam.” Ewan replied politely. Then, he went out and got the car ready.
Levi wallowed in his grief at a corner. Eldest Young Master Williams had forbidden him to get close to the young madam since he hugged Elena in the morning. He did not long to be near to the young madam, and he only allowed himself a moment of self-pity. Then he wondered if the eldest young master had lost his trust in him.
Was Ewan a safer choice when compared to him? Perhaps Ewan was more of a threat than him. Why did the Young Master trust Ewan but not him? He felt dejected and wrongfully-blamed.
Then the car drove out from the driveway and disappeared from their view.

How would one feel after a moment of lost and found? Caleb hugged Elena as he bawled his eyes out. Luacs could only hold her hands tightly. Even though he did not say anything, Elena could feel the violent trembles in his hand. As for Layla, she had started to cry the moment she saw Elena. Her friend was finally back with them! Eventually, all of them managed to calm down.
Layla suggested, “Elena, let’s go. We should go and have a nice meal to celebrate your rebirth.”
“What nonsense are you spouting now? Elena is fine. There is no rebirth.” Caleb slapped the back of Layla’s head.
“Ouch!” Layla rubbed her head but she was not angry at all. Instead, she laughed out loud. “That’s right. Not reborn. Then, we should go out and eat to ward off bad luck.”
“The most important thing is that Luacs had not eaten for days. So, let’s go eat something.”
“You haven’t eaten anything?” Elena looked at Luacs with wide-eyes. Then she stared blankly at him. “Why did you abuse yourself like that?”
“I got too caught up in looking for you, and I didn’t feel hungry at all.” Luacs looked at her with a gentle expression. He did not mind her glares as long as she was alive.
“Let’s go and eat.”

After a fulfilling meal, Elena and her friends arrived at the mental asylum where Mia was admitted. Before Elena was found, the police force had been stationed at the asylum. After Levi called off the search operation and informed the police force that Elena had been found, they had failed to charge Mia with murder. It seemed like Mia might be stuck in the asylum for a very long time. It was a tedious procedure for Elena to visit Mia because she was not an ordinary patient.
“Actually, you might be able to get help from Eldest Young Master Williams. It might be easier for us to get in that way.” Layla mumbled under her breath while she filled in the visitor’s form. To Layla, Eldest Young Master Williams was akin to God. He could solve any problems, and he was also the one who had saved Elena. Even though Elena was not willing to tell them more about her ordeal, they knew that he was the one who had saved Elena.
“Why should we trouble him for something that we can solve on our own?” Elena scoffed.
“He is your fiancé, so you are family. It shouldn’t be that much of a trouble for him to help.”
“Ouch, why did you hit me?” Once again, Caleb slapped the back of Layla’s head.
Caleb rolled his eyes and said, “Didn’t Elena say that they would break up after two years? They’re not real husband and wife.”
Layla knew about that, of course, but she still could not fathom it. Eldest Young Master Williams was such a perfect man; he was wealthy and influential, and he had good looks and a well-built body. Why would Elena give up on him?
Layla went closer to Elena and asked in a low voice, “Elena, would you really break up with Eldest Young Master Williams after two years? Don’t you want to be with him?”
