Elena hurriedly made her way toward the piazza outside the entrance of the building. In any case, Eldest Young Master Williams had limited patience. Had she delayed any longer, he would either leave her behind or have Levi dragged her back to the car.
However, when she got out of the building, she was surprised to see two girls in front of Michael’s low-profile but swanky Maybach.
“Big Brother, they bullied us!” The Williams ‘s younger family members addressed Michael as Big Brother. Even though Vanessa was a distant relative, she was still part of the family.
Michael sat by the window as he smoked so casually. He looked indifferent, so one knew for sure if he caught what Vanessa had said. Levi stood guard as he leaned on the car. One might think that he looked remarkable, but he got visibly impatient.
Vanessa continued to grumble. “It was absurd, Big Brother! We are from the Williams family, and they dared to chase us from the shop!”
Michael kept his silence. It was as if even his eyebrows emitted a strong icy aura to fend off outsiders. Rosy glanced at Vanessa and tried to signal her to stop her ramblings. Then she looked at Michael, and with a voice as gentle as the water that flowed, she asked, “Will you be at the Williams’s mansion later, Big Brother?”
It was the night of the Williams family’s feast. All the Williams family’s younger members in Bentson were expected to be in attendance. The Williamssis a big family, and so, hundreds of people were supposed to be there.
“Hmm,” Michael replied plainly.
Rosy knew that the Williams family’s eldest grandson had always been indifferent, and everyone had gotten used to his impassiveness. Hence, she was not surprised by his aloof attitude.
“We are also going to the mansion, Big Brother. We should make a move as it is getting late.”
Rosy was pretty direct with her choices of words. Since they were headed toward the same destination, perhaps their big brother could bring them along as well?
It was something that one could be proud of if they were to arrive with their big brother. Her status at home could be elevated if the other young misses in the family knew about it. However, her big brother still had no expression on his face. Did he not hear her? He could give her a lift, could he not?
“My driver had already left. Won’t Grandmother and Grandfather be unhappy if I am late?” Rosy gave him another nudge. She thought that Michael did not hear her the first time around.
There was no need to be reserved in front of Eldest Young Master Williams. Else she would miss her chance. How could she let go of such a golden opportunity? She was almost out of time, and her big brother was there. Why did it look like he was waiting for someone? Who was he waiting for at the shopping complex? He had never been one to shop.
When she mentioned that she could be late, Vanessa took that opportunity to continue to grumble. “It was all because of that hideous girl!”
It was a rare occasion that she got to talk to Eldest Young Master Williams. How could he not care if members from the Williams family were bullied? She was also part of the family. Was it not disrespectful to Eldest Young Master Williams when someone bullied her? She did not want to let go of the anger that she felt from her grievances with Elena. She wanted revenge!
“Big Brother, I was trying out shoes with sister Rosy. Then the hideous girl came in and chased us out of the shop.”
“Vanessa…” Rosy glanced at her.
She also hoped that her big brother would stand up for her, but she knew that the chances of that were near impossible. Every girl yearned for protection from powerful men. It was something that they could be proud of, and even if it were a dream, they would wake up with a massive smile on their face. Of course, she was the same too.
Vanessa pouted with grievances plastered all over her face. ” Rosy, you are such a gentle soul who never wants to fight back. You will always be on the losing side.” She looked on at Michael with a pitiful yet indignant expression on her face.
“Who knows which filthy rich man is supporting that ugly duckling? She is such a big bully only because she is rich. How could anyone bully someone from the Williams family? Is that not an insult to you, Big Brother? You should teach them a lesson, otherwise…”
Michael lifted his hand to look at the time, and he looked even gloomier. It was almost seven in the evening, but the girl was not out yet. Suddenly, he shut his laptop, put out his cigarette, and got out of the car.
Vanessa’s eyes lit up in surprise, and she quickly trailed behind him. “It happened at the Harmads shop there, Big Brother. She… Big Brother, it’s her!”
It was such a coincidence that the enemies were to meet again! Elena, that ugly b*tch had found her way there!
Even though Rosy did not say anything else, she followed behind Michael. She was also curious about the girl who had a wealthy old partner. How would she react when faced with Eldest Young Master Williams? Could there be someone more powerful than Michael in the entire Bentson? No matter who she had to support her, she would be doomed when she saw Eldest Young Master Williams!
“That’s her, Big Brother.” Vanessa’s heart thumped like crazy when she noticed that Michael stared right at Elena.
“Big Brother, that ugly girl was the one who relied on some rich old man to give us a hard time. She also said that the people from the Williams family were not worthy of her time.”
Elena furrowed her eyebrows and walked up to Michael. She pursed her lips when she realized that Vanessa was a talented liar. She did not even blink an eye.
“Big Brother, she said that her man is the most powerful person in Bentson, and no one is his match!”
Who was her big brother? He was Eldest Young Master Williams! Who would dare to boast or look for trouble in front of him? That ugly b*tch, Elena, should watch out for the problem that headed her way. It was even better if they could find out the name of the man who supported her. They could bankrupt him so that she would have no more money to spend!
Michael raised his eyebrows as he kept his gaze on Elena. An indecipherable gleam flickered in his eyes.
“Did you say that your man is the most powerful man in Bentson?” he asked. His voice was plain and casual, and there was no hint of unhappiness in it.
“I never said that.” Elena was not about to lie as Vanessa did.
She continued to say, “But I think he must be one.”
“Big brother, listen to her! Listen to what she just said! How could she be so disrespectful to you!”
Who would dare to claim that their man was better than Eldest Young Master Williams? That was rude! Elena was doomed!
Rosy felt a little uneasy. When did Big Brother ever bother about silly arguments between the ladies? Had he not always been unforgiving toward ladies who ventured too close to him?
Elena stood so close to him, so she was already in the danger zone. None of the ladies in the Williams family even dared to get that close to him! Big Brother always hated ladies in his personal space! However, Elena had stood so close to him, perhaps only two steps away.
She had a bad feeling about the situation. She wanted to warn Vanessa, but her cousin paid her no heed.
“Big brother, not only did this ugly girl bully me, but she also hit sister Rosy!”
She pointed at Rosy’s foot and rumbled grouchily, “She chased us out of the shop and hurt sister Rosy’s foot. There is a red mark on sister Rosy’s foot!”
