“You…” Elena could barely believe what she had heard. Did Michael really speak to her in such a soft tone?
She thought he was still angry at her.
“Let’s call it a truce.” The man placed his hand on her back and pressed her gently toward himself.
Elena could not think or even breathe.
Master Williams’s face was significantly magnified before her eyes. His face was still flawlessly perfect when she looked at it up-close.
Her hands found their way onto his chest, but she did not want to push him away.
He was hot. No, she was the one who felt hot… It appeared that both of them felt hot.
Where did things stand with everything that had happened?
“Michael… Hmm……” His warm lips pressed down on hers as soon as she began to speak.
It was as if an electric shock had struck one, and it felt like the world had been turned around.
Half a second was all it took for Elena to lose herself so completely.
The only thing she could feel was Michael’s breath. His frostiness and warmth entangled her in a web of contradiction.
In the end, everything had gone up in flames…
Elena was not aware that she was lifted, nor was she aware that the buttons on her shirt had been undone. She also had no idea when she had clung onto his neck.
Her mind had failed to function properly, and the whole world seemed to revolve around Michael’s shadow and aura.
“Hmm…”
Someone had bumped into the door, and it caused a loud bang.
Their disarrayed breaths disappeared in an instant.
Michael pulled the quilt apart and wrapped the woman tightly in it.
He turned back and dragged his gaze across the room, and then nearly tore into Levi, who was standing in the doorway.
“Ma… Master…”
Levi sensed that death was upon him. He would probably die without a proper burial.
How could he have known that they were… That they were doing that during the day? Even worse was the fact that they did not close the door!
He was so shocked that he only managed to react after he bumped into the door.
“FUCK OFF!”
The man’s face was comparable to the sky when a storm approached-dark, cloudy, and thunderous!
His words cut like a knife, and Levi almost fainted.
“I-I-I’ll l-leave. I’m leaving now. I’m leaving right now!”
Goodness, Master Williams was terrifying indeed! No one expected that a calm and indifferent young master like him would bare his fangs in broad daylight!
Levi, however, was the most loyal subordinate in the entire world.
Before he left, he even managed to sneak in a reminder and risked death as he said, “Master… Please pay attention to… To your image.”
A soft pillow sailed toward the door, and he watched as it struck hard against the door.
Levi did not dare to linger around any longer. Eldest Young Master had told him to scram, and it would be best if he did so as fast as possible!
As soon as he turned around, he disappeared instantly before anyone could respond.
“Damn you!” Michael looked downward with a sour face.
With his long fingers, he zipped his pants, but it appeared that some secrets could not be kept.
His face was gloomy, and he was pissed about the interruption to his beautiful plans.
As he turned around, he saw that the woman hid at the other end of the big bed. She was still wrapped in the blanket, and only her head stuck out at the end. The gaze she gave him was filled with much caution.
Elena did not expect things to escalate so quickly with Master Williams.
It was in the daytime! How could he be so… So shameless! Levi even caught them in the act!
Dear God, how could she bring herself to face Levi in the future!
Michael leaned forward, and Elena backed off immediately.
He frowned and stared at her red face.
While she was in the blanket, Elena began to gather her clothes in haste. She finally looked up to say something, but she was shocked to see Master Williams’s lower abdomen…
Her breathing pattern was sent into another frenzy, and she was so startled that she could not see straight.
“You like it that much?” She stared directly at him, and he wondered if she was trying to make him lose control.
He initially believed that he had lost his self-control, but when he saw Elena’s startled demeanor, it managed to appease him somewhat.
It was plain and obvious, and there was nothing to hide.
Elena could not help but cover herself completely with the blanket. She did not want anyone to see her private parts.
Her stares were not deliberate; she was only startled.
“Sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose…”
“You didn’t do what on purpose?”
“Nothing.” It was a struggle for her to tidy up her own clothes. Only then did she open the blanket and get down from the other end of the big bed.
She had wanted to explain that her gaze landed unintentionally on that area of his, and not on purpose.
It would, however, be embarrassing if he proceeded to ask where she was looking at.
She told herself to calm down as it was only an impulsive reaction.
They were both single adults-the reaction was only natural when it came to men like Michael.
Most people would not think much of such impulsiveness, but it was a big deal for her!
She must never repeat the mistakes that she had made in her past life!
“Well, if there isn’t anything else, I’ll head back first.” She hurried to the door.
“Aren’t you going to beg me?” The man sat on the bed, with his energy clearly in disarray. Nevertheless, he had managed to calm himself down.
Elena froze and turned around instinctively.
If she did not look at some regions of his, Master Williams appeared to be calm and composed, with no trace of the lustful madness that was present before that.
It seemed like men and women had very different perceptions about such things.
Men treated it like a form of pleasure, but women, once addicted, would find themselves unable to climb out of that pit.
She gathered her thoughts and shook her head. “I can handle this myself.”
Michael frowned and looked at her with cold eyes.
Her face had always made him feel odd. Why could he not remember the location of her small freckles?
Was it because he had a bad memory, or did those little freckles move?
Elena felt guilty when he stared at her because that was the one action that scared her most.
Her freckles were drawn at random places so that no one could remember their exact positions.
She was afraid that he would find out.
She turned to open the door and avoided his observant gaze.
“Thank you for saving me today, but there are still some things that I think I can solve by myself. I won’t bother you with them, Master Williams.”
Those words were said calmly, and without any hint of anger.
Michael kept quiet and continued to stare at her back.
Elena knew that she could not stay in the room any longer. She had the nagging feeling that Michael would soon discover her secret if she continued to hang around there.
“I’ll go back first.” She was already on the way out when she suddenly remembered something.
After a few moments of hesitation, she finally hurried back and carried the bunch of roses that she had set aside. Then, she sped to the door once more.
“If you can’t settle it, I’m here for you anytime,” his intoxicating voice echoed from behind her.
Elena’s legs turned to jelly, and she stumbled to the door. She dared not turn back when she replied, “Very well, I understand.”
As she hurried back to her room, she closed the door with a loud bang and felt relieved only when she locked it.
A dangerous man was one who could make a woman’s legs weak.
The scariest thing was not the pressure that he put on her, but the charm that could drive one insane!
He was a walking love potion, and that moniker was by no means an exaggerated reputation!
She would feel weak when she heard his hoarse voice. No wonder she lost all sense of consciousness when he kissed her.
How much more dangerous could such a man be?
She still dared to approach him when she should have kept her distance instead. It seemed like she was not afraid of death at all.
Inhale… Exhale…
She took a deep breath and needed a few moments to collect herself.
Elena straightened her posture and realized that she still had the bunch of red roses in her arms.
Flowers from Master Williams…
Enough! Her breathing went haywire once more, and images of the man’s figure filled her head. It was as though she could smell him on the tip of her nose!
Elena rushed to locate a place where she could place the roses down. She did not dare to hold it in her arms again.
She felt as if she was holding Master Williams when she held the roses. Her body felt hot all over… So she cursed! How could she continue with her life like that?
As soon as she kept the roses, her phone rang. When she looked at the screen, she discovered that it was Caleb who had called her.
“Where’s Layla? Put her on the line,” Elena ordered plainly.
On the other end, Layla managed to work some courage before she took the call. “Elena …”
“Are you a pig? Why do I have such a terrible friend like you? Did you intend to kill me or kill yourself?”
Elena’s first words were to scold her friend.
Layla knew she was in the wrong, so she simply kept mum.
When Elena had enough of scolding, she forced herself to remain calm and said, “I’ll take care of this.”
