Lena got out of Alvin’s apartment and couldn’t wait to call Bella, “Bella, I have good news for you.”
Bella held her breath for a second, “What is it?”
“Alvin changed his mind, he is willing to recognize his father.’
“Really?”
Bella jumped up in excitement, “Why did he suddenly change his mind?”
“Probably because…” Lena euphemistically recounted what had happened.
“Lena, Alvin really loves you. Trust me, if a man is willing to change for a woman, he definitely loves you.”
Bella and her sister-in-law chatted for a while and hung up the phone hurriedly. She went into Kevin’s office excitedly.
“Honey, I have great news for you.”
Kevin was sipping coffee. She pounced on him without warning and the coffee shook a bit and spilled a few drops out, leaving a small patch faint stain on his clothes.
“What are you so excited about? You are pregnant and still being reckless.”
“Alvin is willing to recognize Master White as his father. Lena told me.”
“Really? You sure she is not joking?”
“You can call Alvin and confirm it.”
Kevin actually called Alvin. Later, he hung up the phone and walked to Bella, “So? Now you believe that I didn’t lie to you?”
He laughed, “Little did I know that Alvin really loves my sister.”
“I never doubted that Alvin’s love to Lena. Now, everything is settled. Master White will definitely be on our side.”
Kevin was delighted. Bella saw this and seized the chance, “My decision was right. Fortunately, it was Lena who told the secret. If it were me, someone might have eaten me alive.”
“If it were you, the result might have backfired.”
“Why?”
“Why would Alvin change his mind? Because Lena was the one who told the secret. If it were you, do you think he would forgive you?”
Bella was speechless.
Later, Kevin had a long conversation with Alvin. And according to Alvin’s wishes, Kevin called Master White.
Two days later, the result of DNA identification was out, proving that Alvin and Master White were father and son.
Master White was very excited. Nothing could make him happier than finding his son suddenly. Under Kevin’s arrangement, Master White formally met his son.
Their formal meeting meant that they saw each other in the father-and-son relationship. He had come to see Alvin before, but it was just a glance without communication.

Alvin sat across Master White face to face. Alvin looked apathetic. Master White wanted to say something but the words just stuck on the tip of his tongue.
After a few minutes of stalement, Alvin broke the ice first, saying in a distant and threatening tone, “I can’t call you dad now. There are two things I need you to resolve, first, divorce Gillian, second, help me and Mr. Jones-Sharps to deal with Hilary. If you can do it, I’ll come back.”
Master White nodded almost without thinking, “Ok, I promise.”
The way he looked at Alvin was bright, containing a long-time yearning that a father had to his son.
After Alvin left, Master White called his men. And on that night, Gillian was called into his study.
“Master White, why you looked so solemn? What happened?”
She came forward attentively, trying to caress his face. But Master White’s body slightly shunned it.
“Let’s divorce.” He handed a divorce agreement to her.
Gillian’s face turned to pale abruptly. She asked nervously, “What’s wrong? Why you suddenly want to divorce me?”
“I’ve found my long lost son. He is the special assistant of Kevin Jones-Sharp. And this is his condition if he comes back to me. I hope you can cooperate.”
“No! I won’t!”
Gillian broke down. She thought that she would be better off and nobody dared to bother her after she married Master White who had high status. But out of expectation, her luxurious happiness was so transient and was about to end without warning. She couldn’t take it. She absolutely couldn’t take it…
“You have to cooperate even if you don’t want to. I’m not consulting your opinion. I will give you a big amount of fortune after we divorce, which can allow you never to worry about your life and you can come to ask for my help anytime.”
What Master White implied was that she didn’t have a choice but to accept his proposal.
“I don’t need your money, I just want to stay with you. Have you forgotten how my mom died? You’ve promised me that you would take care of me always.”
“I’m sorry about your mother’s death, but nothing matters more than taking back my son, even my guilt to you. I promised that I would take care of you because you were alone and distressed. Now your father has been discharged from the prison, you don’t need my help anymore.”
“I need your help. Why don’t’ need it? If you divorce me, Kevin would definitely make things difficult for me. Master White, please, please don’t divorce me…”
Tears were streaming down from Gillian’s face. The reason she came back to B City was to deal with Kevin. Now she was nobody after she lost Master White who used to get her back.
“You behave yourself then nobody would do anything to you.”
Master White didn’t set rules for her to comply but he knew well about the little tricks she played.
“Come on, sign your name.”
“No, unless you shoot me, otherwise I won’t sign it.”
“Are you going to sign it or not?”
Master White was losing his patience.
“I won’t sign. I won’t let myself lose everything so miserably!!”
“Then do you believe that I might put your father in prison again? You know who I am, there is nothing I can’t do. Since I can get him out of it, then I can put him into it again. You better think carefully.”
Gillian’s heart sank as if into an ice cave. She knew that this man who was older than her more than twenty years was determined to divorce her. Even if she didn’t agree with it, they would divorce eventually. And she might lose his father. After struggling in distress, she finally signed her name reluctantly.
At that moment, her heart was ridden with hatred, hatred for Bella.
After losing her backer, Gillian went home and lived with her father. She was like a goblin that was beaten to its original form, roaring and smashing things in the house to release her rage inside.
Late night at 11 o’clock, Gillian’s phone rang up and she picked it up half-consciously—
“You damned woman, you ruined my life over and over again. I will never never let you go!”
She came to her senses suddenly, looking very frustrated. The phone was hung up. She stared blankly at the ceiling, knowing that Master White eventually divorced with her.
“Who was calling?”
A man sleeping beside her held her close, she shook her head in a daze, “Nothing, just a mad man. Go on sleeping then.”
Soon Hilary knew that Alvin was Master White’s son. She was even more frustrated than Gillian. Maybe Hilary realized that she couldn’t escape the disaster, so she started to transformed her money abroad.
After Kevin knew Hilary’s move, he asked Alvin to cut off his capital chain by this chance.
A serious life-and-death game was about to unfold. In those nervous and busy days, there was some happy news coming one after another.
Bella received a big red invitation, the bridegroom: Quitin, the bride: Holly.
She didn’t expect that Quitin would get married to Holly so soon. But she still called to congratulate them and promised to participate in their wedding.
At night, Kevin came back from the company. Bella walked up and took his coat, saying gently, “Let’s go to F City this weekend.”
“Why are we going to F City?” Kevin was quite puzzled.
Two weeks ago, he had taken Armand and his wife to B City and now there were no more relatives of hers in F City.
“Attending a wedding.”
“A wedding? Whose wedding?”
“Who else would get married, Quitin.”
“He is about to get married?” Kevin was astonished.
“Yeah, you think I lied to you last time when I told you he brought his girlfriend.”
Kevin frowned, “I won’t go. He invited you, not me.”
