Chapter 185 Let Love Be Free(3)

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to …”
As Blanche stood before her bed, weeping tears of contrition, Freya hysterically roared, “Give me back my child, give me back my child, give me back my child!!!”
Patrick coldly snapped, “Freya, you calm down. This is also not what we want. Are you right? You’re crazy all day long, and if you weren’t unreasonable, you wouldn’t have lost your child!”
“Don’t think I don’t know that you’re just trying to force me to leave, and with the baby gone, there’s no reason for me to stay in your house …!”
“What are you talking about? We wouldn’t have picked you up from the beginning if we tried to force you to leave. Don’t you know how badly we want that child?”
“I’m not sure. I’m not sure of anything. I only know that your son has been snubbing me all day, and you guys have been giving me evil looks all day. You are simply trying to screw my child and me to death!”
Freya cried out in grief and tried to seek death again, and all the people couldn’t pull her back, and Blanche broke down and cried out, “What do you want to do to stop it?”
“I just wanted to be with the man I love, but now my only hope is shattered, and by destroying my hope you’ve cut off my life. So what’s the point of living!”
“Don’t worry. I promise you. I’ll never kick you out, okay?”
“Don’t your son drive me away too? I don’t have his baby in my belly anymore!”
“No, none of us will chase you away. You just calm down!!!”
Only then did Freya calm down and was helped to lie down on the bed by the nurse. Blanche glanced at her sadly and ran out of the hospital room in tears.
Kevin had been standing in front of the window of the hospital corridor. Blanche came behind her son and shouted, “Kevin …”
“Well?” He turned around.
“Go check on Freya and tell her you won’t kick her out. She’s very unstable and could commit suicide at any moment.”
“Didn’t she just try to commit suicide? Is she looking for death again?”
“I’m just worried that this happened because of me. I’ve got blood on my hands now. I killed her parents three years ago by mistake, and now I’ve killed my own grandson, and if she dies again because of me, I won’t have peace of conscience for the rest of my life …”
“If that’s the case, why did you have to push her down the stairs?”
Blanche stared in shock and asked incredulously, “Did even you think that Mom pushed her down there on purpose?”
“I’m just reminding you that you shouldn’t have gotten into an argument with her upstairs knowing she’s already mad and radical, and even if you didn’t push her, she might have rolled down on her own.”
“It’s too late to say anything now. The most important thing is to not let her lose her life again. Later on, when she’s physically and emotionally recovered, you can do whatever you want to settle her down.”
Kevin didn’t say anything and walked straight past his mother to Freya’s hospital room.
When Freya saw him come in, tears fell down her eyes and she gloomily looked away.
“I know that you tried every possible way to conceive a child just so that you could live in our house. Now that the child is gone, you don’t have to feel discouraged. You can continue to go if you want to live.”
He said and turned to leave.
“What about you? Will you continue to ignore me?”
“Don’t ask too much of me. I don’t owe you anything.”
Kevin glanced at her coldly and walked out with determination.
Freya was discharged after a week in the hospital, and after returning home and recuperating for another three days, she was able to walk. She had suffered a lot this week, first rolling down the stairs then cutting her arteries. She hurt herself over and over again, and all she wanted was to get in return and remain in the Jones-Sharp family.
After the loss of the child, she became a lot more docile, no longer as rude and unreasonable. Every evening, she saw Kevin in the study work and would bring a cup of hot tea to him. Knowing that he did not want to talk to her, she would not say a word, put down the tea, and left.
Such a peaceful day lasted for more than ten days. Kevin seldom talked to her, but he didn’t bring a woman back to stimulate her as before. It was not because he had forgiven her, but because he saw her mother living in guilt every day, he didn’t want to burden her too much with guilt. When Freya recovered, he would let her leave and end the bad karma between him and her.
On this day, Kevin went home to get a document, and when he was about to go downstairs, he met the maid of the house, he casually asked, “What’s going on?”
The maid replied respectfully, “I just washed Miss Macadam’s clothes and found a list in her pocket. I’ll send it over to her.”
Kevin frowned, “What list?”
The maid handed him the ultrasound sheet that was folded a bit messily in her hand, “This is it.”
Kevin opened it. It was an ultrasound sheet. The result of the test on it was a stillborn baby. He thought it was the sheet from the last time he checked in the hospital, so he returned it casually. Just taking two steps downstairs, he thought something was wrong, “Wait a minute.”
He called out to the maid.
“Let me see the list again.”
He took the ultrasound list again, looking askance at the date column, and then suddenly, his face fell.
“I’ll keep this and don’t tell anyone.”
The maid nodded in confusion, “Oh good.”
Kevin went downstairs past the laundry room and saw a pile of Freya’s clothes on the floor, his face grew darker.
In the evening, he who usually returned late at night unprecedentedly came back before dinner.
Freya was very happy to see him and attentively went forward to receive his coat, completely like a competent wife. Halfway through dinner, Kevin casually spoke up, “How did you abort your child?”
All of them froze, and Freya replied innocently, “Don’t you know?”
“I don’t know. I want you to tell me yourself.”
Freya cast a glance at Blanche and said softly, “The baby was miscarried due to being brought downstairs by Mom’s mistake.”
“Are you sure about that?”
Freya’s heart thudded and she panicked a little, but she insisted, “Yes.”
“Do you want to think about it before you answer?”
“Kevin, what the hell are you doing …”
Blanche was embarrassed. Wasn’t this cutting at her quick.
“Have you thought it over? Answer me, how the hell did you not have a child?”
“I’ve already said it, and I don’t want to repeat it.”
Freya’s eyes flashed as she got up to go upstairs.
“Then what is this!!!”
Kevin slapped the ultrasound sheet in his pocket onto the table, “You had an accident on the nineteenth. Why did the ultrasound on the fifteenth show intrauterine fetus death?”
“What?”
Mr. Jones-Sharps and his wife stood up with a soar.
Freya completely panicked. She shakily picked up the ultrasound sheet on the table and looked at it again and again, “It’s a mistake. The hospital must have gotten the date wrong.”
“Do you need to pretend again? I have investigated, Dr. Lee of the Maternal and Child Health Centre was introduced to you by Celeste, and from the very beginning you have been in collusion, including the last miscarriage, which was not caused by you falling down the stairs, but she concealed the fact and deceived our whole family. You want to stay at our house, don’t you? Then stay on. It doesn’t matter how long you stay!”
Kevin turned around and went upstairs, quickly sorted out some clothes, and came down with his luggage.
“Where are you going?”
Blanche grabbed her son’s hand.
“All of this tragedy was caused by you. You clean it up yourselves.”
“Kevin, don’t go. I was wrong. I know I was wrong. Everything I did was because I love you. I don’t want to leave you. I’m sorry. You don’t have to go …”
“Get out of here!”
Kevin growled angrily, “I never want to see you again, and this is the ultimate reminder.”
The ultimate was the last time. He reminded her for the last time that he didn’t want to see her again.
Patrick rushed in front of his son and roared angrily, “Are you going to leave us for this woman?!”
Kevin coldly replied, “I’ve been in this family for a long time. Don’t you want to have grandchildren? You didn’t hesitate to kneel down and cry and beg Bella to let her promise to divorce me or having grandchildren, so now is the time for you to reflect on your actions.”
Kevin finished and walked away without looking back. Freya was not Bella. She couldn’t keep Kevin at all. Blanche looked at her son’s departing back, suddenly realizing that everyone in this family was gone.
“Kevin … Don’t go … Don’t go …”
Freya cried at the spot where Kevin’s back disappeared, completely unaware that it was all because of her.
“You damn woman! Are you happy now!!!”
Blanche suddenly rushed in front of her and slapped her twice like a madman, “Get out of our house, now! You ungrateful woman, get the hell out of here!!!”
She completely broke down, forcing away her daughter-in-law and her son. In the end, she had nothing. A good family was destroyed, and Blanche was heartbroken.
Freya was thrown out by the Jones-Sharps’ maids, and the suitcase she originally brought over was also thrown out. She cried on the ground, feeling so unhappy, howled madly, but couldn’t vent her anger and frustration.
The originally rented apartment had been returned, and her purse was in the guest room of the superior’s house, but her voice was hoarse, and no one would open the door for her.
She decadently carried her luggage to Celeste’s place, and when Celeste opened the door, she saw her with a teary face and asked lamely, “Don’t tell me that you’ve been evicted?”
“Yes, Godmother.”
She was crying out loud.
“Why? Aren’t you pregnant with their child? How did you get kicked out again?”
Celeste didn’t know about Freya’s miscarriage yet.
“The baby is gone.”
Freya cried and told her the story. She thought that her godmother would definitely sympathize with her and comfort her after hearing it, but she didn’t expect Celeste to suddenly lose her usual equilibrium and scold her angrily, “Are you crazy? Just because Kevin is indifferent to you, you’ve been drowning your sorrows in alcohol all day. You’re simply shooting yourself in the foot. It would have been easy for an abnormal pregnancy child to have an accident, but you’ve also been drinking all day. The child is a psychopath even if it’s not a dead fetus!”
“What can I do? Kevin’s either bringing women back or missing Bella. How can I stand it when I’m a woman?!!!”
“Do you think it is easy to be a young lady in the Jones-Sharp family? Without patience, nothing can be done. Kevin just lost his lover and would certainly have some radical behavior. If you are smart a little bit, you should calm down and use your tenderness to touch him. But now A little impatience spoils great plans. Our previous plans all are in vain. You managed to force Bella away, but now you are driven out. She must come back sooner or later. It really makes me angry!”
With a bang, Celeste closed the door.
“Godmother, Godmother, listen to my explanation. Godmother, open the door. I’ll do anything you want me to do. Please open the door …”
“Get away from me. I don’t ever want to see you again, you useless idiot!”
Freya sat on the ground with two legs limp. It turned out that Celeste had never regarded her as a daughter. She was just a valuable chess piece in her hand. Now that she is of no use-value, Celeste has no hesitation to kick her away.
Without a penny on her body, the only person she could rely on also gave up on her. She was cornered, shamelessly came to Conrad’s apartment, and knocked on the door, but a stranger stood in front of her, “Who are you looking for?”
“May I ask if the owner of this house isn’t Conrad?”
“I don’t know. I bought this house from an agent a week ago.”
The man slammed the door. This was the third time tonight that she had been turned away from the door.
Wandering the streets, muddleheaded, she thought of what Conrad had said before that one day she would have nothing. She let out a heart-breaking cry. The greatest irony of all was being foretold of the future by someone else …
Inside the villa by the sea, Kevin stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with red wine, gazing at the endless sea in the distance.
Alvin came behind him and called out softly, “Mr. Jones-Sharp.”
“Haven’t you still found out where she is?”
“No, I checked everywhere, and there’s no one named Bella. There’s a few with the same name, but none of them are her.”
“Where do you think she’s going?”
“I think she may have gone abroad. It’s still easy to find her at home, but not easy to find if she goes abroad. After all, there are so many countries and so many cities. Trying to find someone is like looking for a needle in a haystack.”
“I don’t think so.”
Alvin raised his eyebrows in confusion, “Then what do you think?”
“She left all her bank cards behind when she left. She couldn’t have left the country without financial support. The only possibility is that she changed her name.”
“Did she change her name?” Alvin slapped his head, “Yeah, why didn’t I think of that? So I’ll just go ahead and investigate.”
“No.”
Kevin turned around sadly, “The reason why she changed her name is that she doesn’t want to be found by me. Since she’s determined to leave me, what’s the point of finding her back?”
The last remaining red wine in the cup was drunk into his stomach. He closed his eyes and said sadly in his heart, “Even if she wants to escape from me, is it necessary to escape to a place where I can’t find you? Bella, I won’t look for you again. You are tired of this life and want to be free. Then I will let you free …”
