“Where did he see her?”
Kevin asked nervously.
“I heard that she was headed to the mountains.”
Black Wolf wondered, “What happened to her? What’s she doing in the mountains on such a cold day by herself?”
Kevin knew very well that Bella went to the mountain to see the legendary diamond snow. He picked up his jacket and was about to go out. Black Wolf stopped him, “What are you doing?”
“I’ll go to her.”
“No, the weather is very bad to-night, and it is very dangerous to go to the mountains.”
“Then I must go too. Don’t you hear that my wife has gone up the hill?”
“I’ll just let them go on their search, and you’ll just wait here patiently.”
“I don’t have the patience to wait any longer. I must go with them to search.”
Kevin’s attitude was firm, and Black Wolf had no choice but to agree, “Alright then, we’ll go together.”
“You don’t have to go. I’ll just go with them.”

So, they went up the mountain one after another. The mountains of Hokkaido were enormous, and the snow was wild. Kevin was too urgent to find Bella, and within a while, he was separated from them.
He walked alone while calling out the name of Bella. It is really not easy to find someone late at night. He could not help but regret that he should not go to meet with Freya. So Bella wouldn’t have been angry and left.
“Bella, Bella, where are you-”
He yelled hysterically. The snow was getting heavier, almost burying him. Wasn’t his wife most afraid of the dark? Why did she have to come to this mountain just to be angry with him?
Kevin panting and falling into the snow pile, was feeling deep frustration. He took out his cell phone again, but this time, he couldn’t get a cell phone reception.
Bella regretted when she got to the mountain. Even if she wanted to see the diamond snow, she shouldn’t have come at night. If there were some wild wolves and wild dogs running out at this time, she would have lost her life.
She looked for a small cave, hiding in the cave entrance, freezing, shivering. She took out the phone and couldn’t get a cell phone reception.
The cold wind was blowing, almost freezing her into an Iceman. She stood straight with her numb legs, and tried hard to jump, hoping to get herself warmer. It was getting dark and she was getting more and more flustered. With the wild wind mixed with cold snowflakes, she suddenly missed Kevin.
Not daring to go too deep inside the cave, she was afraid of the sudden emergence of wild animals or harsh ghosts, so she could only hide at the mouth of the cave edge. She curled up, letting the relentless snowflakes fall on her body and slowly freeze her into a snowman.

Kevin was near her. He suddenly heard her reply, excited. He looked around in surprise, “Bella, where are you? Where are you?”
“I am here …”
Bella waved her arms full of snowflakes. As she waved her hand, snowflakes fell. Finally, Kevin saw her, and raced towards her, hugged her tightly, anxiously said, “You scared me. I thought I would never see you again.”
They held each other so tightly and Bella shed tears, but she only sobbed quietly.
“Bella, promise me you’ll never run away from home again. Do you know how much I worry about you?”
Bella’s body had frozen, and having just yelled with all her strength. She wouldn’t even be able to say half a word this time, just weakly snuggling into Kevin’s arms.
“It’s too cold here. I’ll carry you down the mountain.”
Kevin squatted down and dragged Bella onto his back, but as soon as he took a step, he heard the sound of an avalanche in the distance. He quickly stopped his pace and said, “It seems like it will be dangerous for us to go down the mountain in such bad weather.” He looked around and took her hand, “Let’s go, stay inside the cave for the night.”
The avalanche was very serious when he was up the mountain. It would be too dangerous to go down at this time. Bella was with him now, so he could never let her be hurt.
The hole was not very deep, probably only a hundred meters in depth. It was very dark inside. Bella did not dare to stay inside, ready to run out. Kevin quickly caught up, “What’s wrong?”
“I’m afraid.”
When she whispered, he immediately thought of her claustrophobia and pointed to where there was a bright light at the entrance of the cave, “Then let’s stay here.”
It wasn’t cold inside, but Bella was afraid of it. It was very cold outside now.
Kevin wanted to take off his jacket for her, but she did not let him do it. They argued for a while and finally had to hold her thin body in his arms, blew on his fingers to warm her cold hands.
It was a little better in the late night. In the early morning, everywhere began to freeze, only then did Bella begin to really unable to bear it. Even embraced by Kevin tightly, she was still shaking non-stop. Kevin saw her hands and feet cold. He felt so heartbroken that he wanted to take off all the clothes just to give her a little warmth.
“I’m so cold …”

He took off his overcoat, spread it on the cold ground, laid Bella down, and went to unzip her pants.

“Then how did you know I was coming to the mountains? Didn’t those who were looking for me fail to find me?”
Kevin slightly bowed his head, poked her forehead in a spoiling way, “So you knew I was looking for you, and you deliberately came to the mountain. Had I known, I wouldn’t have come. I would have left you behind to rot here.”
“Who told you to come? You coming here is taking advantage of me.”

Bella broke free from his arms and lay down on the floor, closing her eyes with her back to him.
Kevin lay down as well, then dragged her into his arms, letting her head rest on his arm, and said seriously, “Bella, don’t worry. I really won’t abandon you as I promised. I may not completely forget Freya now, but I will definitely try to banish her from my heart, and only leave you alone, okay? ”

She climbed up, rushed out of the cave, stepped on the thick snow on the ground, and arrived at the place where the sun rose.
It was no longer snowing heavily like last night, but there were still small snowflakes falling sporadically. Kevin followed her, simply laughing at her full enthusiasm.
They stood in the snow and waited for half an hour, their hair all wet, but they didn’t see the legendary diamond snow. It was said that as long as lovers could see it together, they could never be parted.
“Bella, let’s go. Legends are legends after all. How can there really be any diamond snow?”
“There is. My classmate has seen it before, but unfortunately, she’s the only one, and she had been waiting a little longer.”
