Chapter 106 Angry

Book:The CEO's Seventh Bride Published:2024-5-1

There was a long silence, and it was only after a long time that Kevin spoke up to break the silence…
“The answer may not matter to you, but it matters to me, and if I don’t know it, I’ll never be happy.”
Bella pushed him away, “You don’t care about being betrayed, but you can’t let go of that woman not being your wife.”
“Bella!”
Kevin was a little angry, “Why do you have to misinterpret my meaning? You know that’s not what I meant!”
“I’m sorry. That’s all I can understand. You don’t have to deny it. Marriage is a simple matter to you like throwing a piece of clothing anyway. You can throw me away and pick her back up!”
“No nonsense!”
Kevin was really angry. He suddenly leaned forward and pressed her hard with his strong manly body, easily pressing the delicate and weak Bella completely. Feeling his hot and gloomy breath, she shuddered.
“Don’t say anything like that again…”
She heard his voice and smelled his breath. When he nibbled her ear, she suddenly struggled, “Let go of me! You let go of me! Go find Freya. I don’t mind. You go find her!!!”
“Don’t mention her name again!” The man on top of her yelped, pressed her underneath him, subdued her soft calves that kept stirring with his long legs, and actually slapped at her pretty buttocks, “I told you. You’re my wife now!”
“But it’s not your wife you’re thinking of…” and Bella kept arching and struggling forward, the collar of her blouse gradually slipping open as she moved violently, “You let go of me. I hate you! ”
When Kevin heard ‘I hate you’, he became more furious, turned the struggling her over, dragged her into his arms, and lowered his head to fiercely kiss her tempting mouth!
He kissed her tears too and grabbed her slender waist hard.
Sleeping in his arms, she could not see his face but saw the lust in his eyes, which made her shiver.
Her body slowly softened. A heartfelt pleasure slowly made her in a daze. She really hated this man but loved him as well.
After the passion, Bella was awake, felt herself pain and sore, and the pain and numbness of her legs.
The bathroom door creaked. Kevin wore only around a towel around the waist and came out, short hair wet, said tenderly “I’ll hold you to wash…”
Bella got up, with the blank stares. Not letting him hold her, she walked into the bathroom.
She soaked in the bathtub and never came out.
After thinking deeply for a long time, she decided to ask Conrad out. She dialed the number he left for her. Conrad did not refuse and agreed to meet her.
The next evening at the cafe, Bella went to meet him as promised. He was wearing a set of leather clothes and pants, carrying a large guitar on his shoulders. It looked like he was going to perform somewhere, or just finished performing.
Gazing at him from afar, Bella admitted that Conrad was also an extremely good-looking man. If Freya didn’t leave Kevin for other reasons, it wasn’t impossible to fall in love with him.
“Have you been waiting long?”
Conrad out down his guitar and grinned a sunny smile at Bella.
“No, what do you want to drink?”
Bella handed him the coffee order.
“Cappuccino.”
Conrad took a casual glance.
She called to the waiter, “Two cups of cappuccinos, please.”
“What do you want from me?”
Conrad opened the door and asked.
“Can you take me to see Freya? I have something to tell her.”
He was silent for a moment and shook his head, “I’m sorry. There’s nothing I can do about that.”
“Why? You should know that your cousin is looking for her now as well. Do you wish her to be found by him first?”
“He won’t be able to find her.”
Conrad was very certain.
The waiter brought coffee, and Bella took a sip quickly, “But if you’re back, why is she hiding and not seeing anyone? What does she want?”
“You and she shouldn’t meet casually.”
“What do you mean? Did you think I was meeting with her to attack her? ”
“That’s not true.”
“If it’s not, why don’t you let me see her? I just have something to talk to her.”
Conrad sighed, “I’m really sorry. Freya doesn’t want to meet anyone for now. When she wants to meet everyone, naturally you all will meet her.”
Seeing that he was firm in his stance, Bella asked him the last time, “Is it really not okay?”
“Yes.”
He refused again.
“Well, if it’s really so inconvenient, I let it go.”
Bella drank her coffee, looking gloomy and lost.
After separating from Conrad, she was walking alone on the street in a muddle, not wanting to go home so early, but she didn’t know where to go. After walking for a long time, suddenly she heard someone calling her name…
“Bella, Bella.”
She turned and looked around in confusion, quickly catching a glimpse of the person calling her as Louis’s mother, Celeste.
Celeste poked her head out of the car window, smiling and waving at her. Although she had made up her mind last time that she would not get along with her again, for etiquette, she could not pretend to ignore her and walk away anyway under such a chance encounter on the street.
She walked over to her car and politely greeted, “Auntie, what a coincidence!”
Celeste got down from her car and seemed happy to see her, “Yes, it’s really a coincidence. “Glancing at her empty hands, she asked, “Are you shopping?”
“No, I just met with a friend. I’m heading home.”
“Are you not driving?”
“Yes.”
“There’s nothing to do at home, right? How about having dinner together?”
Bella was a bit embarrassed, “I can’t always bother you.”
“It’s okay. We’ll eat out today. I know a very authentic Hunan restaurant in B City. Why don’t we go there?”
“I…”
Faced with her who looked expectantly, Bella couldn’t think of any reason to refuse.
“Well, don’t hesitate. It’s just dinner together. Don’t you willing to be with me?”
Celeste held her hand, looking very dissatisfied, as a child.
On the opposite side of the road, a luxurious extended Lincoln was slowly moving forward, and in the car sat Blanche gorgeously dressed. She closed her eyes to have a rest, but the driver suddenly said, “Hey, isn’t that young lady?”
Blanche opened her eyes and looked over. In an instant, her face paled.
“Shall we drive over there?”
The driver commandeered.
“No.”
She shook her head meaningfully, staring at them friendly talking with mixed feelings.
Bella eventually still couldn’t refuse Celeste’s repeated invitations, with her to a Hunan cuisine restaurant. Celeste ordered a table full of sumptuous dishes. Seeing Bella absent-minded, she curiously asked, “Bella, why do you eat so little? What’s on your mind?”
Bella shook her head, “No.”
“You don’t look too good. Do you want to go to the hospital?”
“It’s okay. I probably didn’t get much rest last night.”
“Then eat more. Don’t waste the dishes I ordered for you.”
“Okay.”
Over here, the Jones-Sharps were also upset, but of course, it was Blanche who was sad.
“Mom, I’m talking to you. Why are you ignoring me?”
Lena glared at her preoccupied mother with a grumbling look.
Blanche returned to her senses, “What did you say?”
“Have you not listened to what I’ve been saying until now? It’s so annoying, forget it. Let’s not talk about it. You and dad will just worry about my brother anyway.”
Lena left the house depressed. Just now she actually told her mother that she had a crush on someone and wanted her mother to bless them.
She mustered her courage to say it, but as a result, her mother hadn’t heard it yet.
Bella didn’t come home until nine o’clock. Usually, at this time, Blanche was already sleeping, but tonight, she was unexpectedly sitting in the living room, as if she was waiting for someone.
“Mom, are you still awake?”
“Bella, come over here. I have something to ask you.”
Blanche waved at Bella.
Bella obediently sat over and asked in confusion, “What is it?”
“Where did you have dinner?”
“I had dinner with an acquaintance.”
“Is that acquaintance named Taylor?”
Bella stared in amazement, “Mom, how did you know?”
Blanche’s eyes popped out, “I saw you guys talking this afternoon.”
“Do you know Celeste too?”
“Well, yes.”
“Oh so, it seems I’m quite fated with her. Her son is the principal of our school.”
“Is he Kemp Hunter’s son?”
Bella didn’t know the name of Louis’s father, but when she heard the last name, she nodded, “It should be.”
“Did she say anything to you at night?”
Bella glanced at Blanche and saw that she seemed a little nervous.
“No, it was a casual conversation.”
Blanche seemed relieved, “Bella, can you promise your mother that you’ll try to hang out with her less in the future?”
Bella was a little startled, thinking that Blanche had the same concerns as she wanted, so she guessed, “Is mom also afraid that Kevin might misunderstand that I’m close to Celeste because of Louis?”
“Yes.”
Knowing that this wasn’t the case, Blanche still nodded. Because there were some past events that couldn’t be confessed even in front of her son and daughter-in-law.
“Don’t worry mom. I just bumped into her on the street today. I won’t get along with her.”
“Good, then I’m relieved. By the way, do you have Celeste’s phone number?”
“Yes, what’s up?”
“Give me. I’m an old acquaintance with her and would like to meet up to catch up if I have time.
Bella gave Blanche her number, and after a night of tossing and turning, Blanche dialed her phone the next day.
Inside the elegant environment of the tea house, the two women finally met again after decades of separation.
“Celeste, long time no see.”
Celeste heard this and sarcastically smiled, “Don’t call so affectionately. I don’t think I have such a good relationship with a woman who stole my man.”
“It’s been such a long time since then. Can’t you still get over it?”
“Can you get over it if your fiancé loved your best friend?”
“I know you can’t let it go, but you can’t force him to love you. Patrick had no feelings for you from the beginning, and in this case, even if you get married, you won’t be happy.”
“But at least you’re happier than me now.”
Blanche certainly knew Celeste divorcing Kemp eighteen years ago. She sighed, “Kemp is a good man. You don’t cherish him.”
“Don’t say such sarcastic words. You got the person you loved, and let me accept him humbly. Blanche, one day I will let you suffer the pain I have suffered back then.”
Celeste was livid as she said this. No matter how long the time passed, she could not forget the humiliating experience of that year.
Thirty years ago, she and Blanche were intimate friends. She had a boyfriend that she loved very much, namely Patrick. They married for their family business. She had always loved him very much, but never knew if Patrick had the same feelings for her. Not long after the engagement, one day, Patrick suddenly asked her out and proposed to break the engagement. She was shocked at that time, and simply couldn’t accept it. But no matter how she refused and threatened him by wanting to kill herself, Patrick was determined to break up with her, even giving her half of his own property. Her parents, seeing the man’s firm stance, persuaded her to give up and then broke off the engagement without telling her. Less than three months after the breaking of the engagement, Patrick got married, and the bride was her best friend Blanche. What she couldn’t accept was that Blanche was five months pregnant at that time.
She almost had a nervous breakdown and ran to Jones-Sharp’s to make a scene. The relationship between them was completely broken. Finally, to take revenge on her parents who broke off the engagement, she married an unknown policeman, Kemp, who was now Louis’s father.
After the marriage, the relationship between them had been uneventful. Kemp loved her, but her love was Patrick. Patrick’s family business was growing. She often saw Patrick and his wife in the newspaper and on television. She could not stand it, put forward want to go abroad to do business, but did not expect her husband had always been obedient opposed strongly, and threatened that if she wanted to go, he would divorce her.
In the end, she chose to divorce, leaving her eight-year-old son for eighteen years.
