Late at night, Kevin tossed and turned unable to sleep peacefully. When he closed eyes, he would remind of Bella’s wry smile. He sat up in frustration, turned on the lamp, but then inadvertently glanced at the woman’s photo on the bedside table, and angrily reached out and pressed the photo down.
He had never seen a stalker like her.
Early in the morning, when Gillian was still asleep, she was awakened by a heavy knock on the door. She rubbed her head and cursed to open the door. Standing outside the door, Bella pointed to the watch on her wrist, “Didn’t I remind you last night to come downstairs at 7:30 sharp for breakfast? Do you forget it?”
As soon as she saw Bella, Gillian said coldly, “I’m not eating.” Saying that, she was about to close the door.
“It’s only your first day here, are you going to let the people in this family know that you have a habit of sleeping late?”
It really worked. Gillian frowned, “Got it, long-winded.”
She closed the door. Bella did not mind her bad attitude, straight down the stairs. From a distance, she saw Lena was discussing with Blanche excitedly. Lena saw Bella approaching, and was immediately silent.
“Bella, you are so diligent. Why is your sister so lazy. Is she ashamed to make so many of us wait for her alone?”
“Lena, be polite.”
Patrick glared at Lena and turned to ask Bella, “Where is that guy? Why didn’t he come down?”
Patrick referred to his son Kevin. Bella respectfully replied, “Dad, Kevin said he had an early meeting, and went out at an early hour.”
In fact, this was the reason she made up for Kevin. She woke up early in the morning, and found that he was not in the room, and the car parked outside was also gone. He definitely left, but she didn’t know why.
Bella guessed that she did something that made him disgusted last night, so he would go out so early.
Every Wednesday, Bella had four classes, and this week’s Wednesday was definitely the toughest day in her teaching career. Both arms were sore and aching from his pinch。 Fortunately, her back was to the students, and her gnashing of teeth was not easily noticed. But the words written on the blackboard weren’t as pretty as she used to write.
The whole day, she roasted Kevin countless times in her heart.
When she got home from work in the afternoon, she even bumped into the guy again, and she headed in while he headed out.
“Where are you guys going?”
Bella was surprised to question them in front of her, not expecting that Kevin would travel alongside Gillian.
“I’m going to meet a friend, so I’ll let Kevin give me a ride.”
“Oh, be careful on the way then.”
She nodded woodenly, thinking why this guy was suddenly so easy to talk to.
“Then let’s go, bye.”
Gillian looked smug, and when she turned back, she even purposefully winked at Bella, looking provocative.
“Wait.”
Bella suddenly shouted at them, smilingly walked over, unexpectedly tiptoed, kissed on Kevin’s cheek, “Honey, come back early. I have a surprise for you …”
Gillian’s face was black with rage, and that was exactly Bella wanted.
Did she flaunt with her? She was too green.
When it was time for dinner, they hadn’t returned, and Lena couldn’t help but grumble, “Lena, why does my brother show favouritism? He treats to your sister better than to me. I begged him for a ride last time but he refused.”
“He was out on business, passing by, so he gave her a ride.”
Bella defended Kevin, and was calm, but she felt uncomfortable in her heart.
Halfway through dinner, Kevin came back alone. As soon as Blanche saw him, she asked lightly, “Have you eaten dinner yet?”
“Yes.”
He responded indifferently as well, and with a glance to the table, he turned and went upstairs.
A short while later, the phone in Bella’s pocket rang. It was a text message, and she took it out to look at it, “Have you finished? Come over when you’re done eating.”
It was sent by Kevin. It was the first time to receive his text messages. She didn’t expect that he would be patient except being picky usually. It was really a shock.
“Mom and Dad, I’m full. You guys eat slowly. I’m going up.”
Bella was always so polite. This family, she was the only one who paid attention to these manners. Thus, it was quite pleasing to her in-laws.
Reaching upstairs, the door was open. She walked in and asked the man standing in front of the window, “What for?”
Kevin turned around and extended his hand teasingly, “Where’s the surprise?”
Bella was startled at first, then laughed, “I said I’d give you a surprise if you’re back early, but it seems to be late now, doesn’t it?”
“Is it late then?”
He retorted, deliberately holding the wristwatch up to her, “Look closely at it, and your own.” He said, and held up her hand as well.
“Ow…” Bella exclaimed in pain. Her arms would be broken.
“Don’t pretend.”
Kevin threw her arm to the side rudely, and Bella screamed again, thoroughly annoyed, “You’re crazy. You were so nice to me two days ago, and now you’re torturing me. I’m telling you, I can’t stand it, I want…”
She actually wanted to say she wanted a divorce, but her senses stopped her, so she shut up.
“What are you doing?”
“Go to sleep.”
Bella replied stiffly, then went into her secret room and took pajamas out, but no longer dared to enjoy his jacuzzi and went straight to Lena’s room.
“Bella, what are you doing?”
“I’ll use your bathroom.”
“Isn’t there one in my brother’s room?”
“He’s washing.”
“Well, can’t you just wait for him to finish washing?”
“He washes slowly. I can’t wait.”
Nodding her head woodenly, she pointed to the right, “Oh okay, then you go in.”
Bella didn’t use the bathtub, but directly turned on the shower. Standing under the shower, she was a little frustrated. Just now she should have asked Kevin. Why did he suddenly get so close to Gillian that demon girl?
After getting out of the shower, she returned to Kevin’s room, wanting to find him to ask about the doubts she just had, but found no one in the house, “Where did you go?”
She mumbled, thinking he might be downstairs, so she went downstairs. Looking inside and outside, she did not find him. Outside the yard his car was still parked in place, she thought he would not go too far. Bella decided to go back upstairs to wait for him.
Just to the stairs, she unintentionally glanced at the light in the next room on. Could it be that Gillian was back?
In fact, Gillian did return, shortly after she stepped into Lena’s room.
Who was Gillian? A woman who was not born of a dancer, but was more flirtatious than a dancer, would take the man she loves as hers in any means.
Of course, a blockhead who only had looks but no intelligence would always fail much more often than succeed.
Just like at the moment, she returned home and first looked for Kevin, but accidentally found Bella was not here. She thought that this was her opportunity, immediately ran back to their own room, changed her clothes into a sexy pajamas, deliberately jumped off the bed, and then dialed Kevin’s phone, pitifully said, “Kevin, quickly come. I accidentally fell down. Now I seem to have a foot fracture! Come, I can’t walk…”
Kevin hung up the phone and came to the next room, seeing Gillian sitting on the floor, holding her knees with a face in pain. He asked indifferently, “Is everything okay?”
“Kevin, do I look like I’m fine? You have to pick me up. The floor is cold…”
Kevin stretched out a hand, but she shook her head, “No, I can’t stand up on my own. If I could stand up I wouldn’t call you over.”
She clasped her ankle tightly, looking like she would die if he didn’t save her.
“Did you really fall?”
Faced with his question, Bella tried to burst out two tears, “Don’t you believe me? If you don’t believe me, come touch it. I’m afraid the bone has been broken.”
Kevin did not bother to waste time on her. Although he hated women, he impatiently squatted down, picked her up and walked to the bed. Gillian nestled in front of his chest, and felt happy.
When Bella came to the guest room, she happened to see this ambiguous scene. She stared incredulously, said nothing, turned around and whisked away.
Kevin was quite embarrassed, put Gillian on the bed and moved to chase after her. Gillian did not expect him to leave her alone, even stood up to drag him urgently, “Kevin, you haven’t drugged me yet.”
He looked at her feet coldly. Gillian was suddenly embarrassed and moved her ankle, “Hey, it seems to be better. Kevin is really like a God. I am better after you take a look at it…”
Kevin was so speechless and left.
Back in the room, Bella was sitting on the sofa, waiting for him with a gloomy face.
“Hey, when the hell are you going to send your sister back? She’s making it very inconvenient here you know?”
Bella smiled mockingly, “Are you inconvenient? I see you are getting along quite well, and you’re quite happy with it, right?”
“Why does that sound jealous?” Kevin walked up to her and bent down to ask, “shouldn’t you be jealous, right?”
