The night was quiet, and the breeze was warmly blowing. Louis parked his car on the bank of the Liam Lake. He was the first to get out of the car, walked straight to the bank of the river. Looking at the shimmering surface of the lake, he became gloomy in just a few minutes.
The first time he got off the plane, he didn’t even go home, but went straight to the party venue, in order to meet his beloved as soon as possible. As a result, what greeted him was such a situation like a thunderbolt from the sky.
“Mr. Hunter, how could you act so out of control in full view of the public?”
Bella got out of the car and stood behind him, questioning rather condemningly.
“Am I out of control?” Louis turned back around and growled angrily, “If it was someone you loved dearly and suddenly married someone else, but you knew nothing about it. Would you be sane in that situation?”
“I’ve said many times that I’m not fit for you. In public you’re my leader, while in private we can only be considered ordinary friends. In the past it’s fine that you don’t avoid arousing suspicion, but now I’m already married. Please consider my position and don’t put me in an embarrassing situation again.”
“You’re not fit for me. Are you fit for Kevin? Don’t you know what kind of person Kevin is?”
“I’m clear.”
“Why do you marry him if you’re clear? Am I so bad in your eyes that I even can’t compare to the man who treats marriage like a joke? Are you just like all the worldly women who just value his money?”
Bella looked up abruptly and gazed at the man in front of her for a while before speaking coldly, “You’re right. I’m and always have been a worldly woman, so in the future, don’t think of me as perfect.”
She turned away ruthlessly. It didn’t matter what others thought of her. What mattered was that she knew what she was doing.
Louis looked at her determined departure steps, was heartbroken painfully. He cried out hoarsely, “Bella, do you think I’ll give up on you if you say things like that? If I could, I wouldn’t have loved you so far!”
Louis’s persistence had once moved her, but it was nothing to do with love. There was no love in Bella’s world, but only hatred.
Within the Cloud Mansion, Blanche was so worried. Two hours ago, Kevin angrily returned home. When she originally wanted to stop him, he first said harshly that no one was allowed to mention Bella in front of him, otherwise he immediately divorced her!
Just like that, none of the family dared to ask any more questions. They all knew Kevin’s temper, and he would do anything if he really got angry.
“Mom, Kevin has never been so angry with any woman, right?”
Lena was baffled and asked her mother beside her. She had been pondering this question for the past two hours.
“Yeah, it’s worrying. Why do they have conflicts as soon as they go out?”
“Do you think Bella has been dropped off the road by Kevin again?”
“It’s possible. I’d better send Dick and the others out to look for her.”
Blanche was just about to give her orders when Bella came back. Lena spotted her first and got up to shout, “Bella, you’re back…”
“Mom, Lena.” Bella walked to the center of the couch and gave an apologetic nod, “I’m sorry for worrying you guys.”
“It’s fine. It’s good to be back. What happened to you again?”
Blanche pointed upstairs, and Bella got it, asked timidly, “Is he very angry?”
Lena snapped to reply, “Yes, he almost didn’t beat me and mother up.”
“Lena, don’t scare here. It is not as exaggerated as you said.”
Blanche glared at her daughter, then turned to Bella, “But, what exactly made him so angry? He used to get angry, but not was as badly as today.”
Bella smiled stiffly, “Mom, it’s no big deal. I’ll just take care of it myself. I’ll gotta go upstairs…”
