Bella immediately took the bracelet off and returned it to Kevin, clearly reminding, “Remember, you must behave well.”
He took the bracelet and asked teasingly, “How to behave? Teach me, though, I’ve never accompanied a woman back to her home.”
She said in a low voice, “You don’t need to do anything deliberately, just almost acting like being in love with me.”
Kevin smiled sarcastically at his words, “It seems that you are more than narcissistic, but also wants more nice than wise. It’s obvious that I don’t love you, but you want me to act like I’m in love with you. You’re so hypocritical.”
Bella didn’t mind his sarcasm. As far as she was concerned, he was the same person as her.
Turning back to her room, she calmed down to review her homework for tomorrow, and at 9:45, she closed her books and got her pajamas ready to take a shower and go to bed.
It was the habit of a person with a good routine.
Opening the door to get out, she headed straight for the bathroom and was stopped when she reached the door, “Stop.”
She looked over and stared at the man who was leaning against the couch for a fake sleep, wondering, “What’s wrong?”
“What do you want?”
“Shower.”
“Who told you you could use this bathroom to take a shower?”
Bella stared in amazement and said woodenly, “There’s only one bathroom in this room. So where am I going to wash?”
“There’s a bathroom in the guest room next door. Go there.”
She snorted impatiently, “Why don’t I just move next door and save myself the trouble of running around? You’re annoyed with watching me.”
“Next door is the guest room. Are you a guest?”
“I’m not a guest, but you don’t treat me as your wife, right?”
Kevin got up, “You know it well enough.”
Bella was depressed holding clothes to the next guest room, standing under the shower. She was confused since he hated women so much, why did he place them in his room?
He was weird and genuinely behaving badly.

In the blink of an eye, the weekend was here, signaling a return to her home.
At breakfast, Blanche said, “Bella, I’ve got all the gifts ready, so if you’re not back tonight, remember to call me.”
“Okay, mom.”
She looked askance at Kevin, whose face fell.
Although she knew from the beginning that the Jones-Sharps was rich, but looking at the gifts loaded into the car, Bella was still surprised. She could image Colin’s greedy smiling face.
The car started the engine. Kevin did not say a word, and in the halfway, Bella reminded again, “Remember to act gracious.”
“Do my best.” He stared ahead indifferently, not taking it seriously at all.
Reaching Bella’s home, they saw from a distance the two rows of people coming out to greet them. The back row was the Burne-Browns’ servants, and the front row was Wilson and his wife and their precious daughter Gillian.
“Oh my god, we expect you back longingly.”
Colin exaggeratedly went forward to hug Bella. Bella was smiling on the surface, but she was disgusted in her heart.
“Kevin, welcome.”
Wilson eagerly stretched out his hand, currying favour with him.
Colin also leaned closer, praising him as a talent, and that Bella was so lucky to marry a good man like him. Bella looked at them coldly, and inevitably mocked. This was her home, but who was her relative here…
