She had no feelings for the Burne-Browns where she had lived for more than ten years. But suddenly changing to a strange environment, Bella was still a little uncomfortable.
Especially, it was such a strange environment.
After tossing and turning all night, she got up before dawn, wanting to go out and take a shower, but was afraid of waking up Kevin, so she had to sit by the bed and wait for dawn.
Staring at the rising sun, she felt as if she saw the dawn of hope approaching her through the window, invading her body, and finally it evolved into an infinite power.
The door of the room was knocked, and she heard the cold voice of Kevin, “Are you up yet?”
She quickly replied, “Yes.” She got up and pulled open the door.
“Follow me down.”
Without looking at her, he ordered. Bella went downstairs with him. There were already two elderly people full of energy sitting in the living room. They were Patrick and Blanche of the Jones-Sharps.
The maids brought tea. Bella understood that this was the rules of a rich family that the new daughter-in-law should pay tribute to the tea to the father-in-law and mother-in-law. She behaved elegantly forward, brought a cup of tea to Patrick, respectfully said, “Dad, please have some tea.”
Patrick looked up and asked in surprise, “What did you call me?”
“Dad.”
“Good.” He quickly took it.
Bella picked up another cup and handed it to Blanche, “Mom, please have some tea.”
She smiled cheerfully as she held Bella’s hands, “You know what? The previous few daughters-in-law call us father-in-law and mother-in-law, and you’re the first one to call us mom and dad.”
She looked at her son and said joyfully, “I didn’t expect the eminent monk on that King Hills to be so spiritual. I must go today to redeem a vow to a god.”
Kevin cast a damp over, “Don’t be too happy too soon. Let’s see if she can survive three months.”
He turned around and went upstairs again. Blanche seemed to be used to it, and her good mood was not affected. She asked Bella, “Did you have a good time last night?”
Bella smiled shyly, “Well, it was quite pleasant.”
“Did you sleep together? I saw you guys kissing”
Blanche was waiting for her answer with excitement. Bella thought of her peeping eyes last night, and she was blushing with embarrassment. Patrick saw her embarrassed and glared at Blanche, “Even if you’re curious, you should be reserved.”
“Bella, good morning!”
“Well, good morning.”
Lena naturally eased the awkward situation, and Blanche instructed her, “Go call your brother downstairs for breakfast.”
“I’m not going to call him.”
Bella immediately said, “I’ll go.”
She slowly went upstairs, pushed open the bedroom door, but found no one in the house. She looked around in confusion, went to the room adjacent to the bedroom, and was wondering where he had gone when a sudden sound came from behind her, “Are you looking for me?”
Turning around sharply, she nodded woodenly, “Well yes. Go to have breakfast.”
Only then did Kevin look at her, but stared at her eyes all the time. Bella got gooseflesh, and asked, “Is there something on my face?”
“Are you so excited that you stayed up all night with excitement, after you marry into a rich family?”
She was startled and giggled, “Yeah, you can see all that. It seems you know women quite well.”
“No. It’s that your black circles is so scary. Explain yourself when you go downstairs or they will think I’ve done something crazy to you all night.”
