The salesperson could only take the money from Summer’s hands.
She gave five yuan back to Summer, and her expression stiffened somewhat. “Thank you, and please come again.”
Summer took the money and inadvertently saw the salesperson touch the side of her ear.
The salesman was a young lady with short hair, and when she reached for her ear, Summer saw something inside her ear.

Summer’s first reaction was to turn around, and she saw a man in black walk out from the elevator toward the escalator.
The man in black too had seen Summer.
He wore a cap, and Summer could barely see his face, yet she could feel that he was looking at her.
A powerful sense of discomfort rose in her heart.
She looked around and found the entire place empty.
The mall was brightly lit, and all of the shops were opened, yet there was no one.
She remembered the girl in the bakery earlier that did not look much like a salesperson was seemingly trying to urge her to leave quickly.
The cautious look that the girl had was similar to that of a police officer!
The mall was so quiet that it was obvious it had been cleared out, and the time she came in was probably the time the clearing out took place.
She was a scriptwriter and was not unfamiliar with scenarios like this.
For a crowded place like a mall to be cleared out, that meant security was enforced.
A celebrity was either making an appearance or some crime was about to be committed there.
These thoughts flashed past Summer’s face, but it was not apparent on her face.
She carried the cake in one hand, while another held the handrail of the escalator. The man in black behind her kept the same motion as they descended along the escalator.
The man in black behind her was either the police or the criminal who was going to commit a crime there.
The escalator got to the first floor, and as Summer got off the escalator, she pretended to subconsciously look back at the man.
The man in black was still leisurely riding the escalator without any hint of urgency. And just as Summer was about to turn away, she noticed the man took off his cap and grinned at her.
It was a dark and maniacal grin.
Summer’s heart sank, as she hurried a few steps forward, and ran quickly toward the entrance of the mall.
The first floor of the mall was very spacious, and the escalator was a distance away from the entrance of the mall. No matter how fast she ran, she felt that there was a perpetual distance between her and the entrance.
At that moment, a voice rang out from a megaphone inside the mall. “Dylan Saunders, you are surrounded. If you stop resisting now, we will treat you with leniency!”
Summer looked up and found that a group of police had appeared.
The man in black spoke. “Who needs your leniency? I’ll drag all of you to hell with me!”
Summer felt like the sound was just right behind her. As she turned back, she saw the man had taken off his jacket, revealing a body tied with explosives.
When the man in black noticed that Summer had turned back, he said with cruel abundance, “So what if you’ve evacuated the crowd? You still missed someone. Having a beauty going to hell with me doesn’t sound all that bad.”
As he said that, he reached for a wire on his body…
The policeman’s voice from the megaphone rang out again. “Get down! Get down!”
Summer’s eyes widened as she hurled the cake in her hand toward the man in black, and she threw herself forward.
Following that was a massive boom next to her ears.
Summer felt that her ears were getting numbed by the shockwave, and the entire world was buzzing.
“… It’s been six years, Rachel must be lonely. We should go look for her.”
“Go!”
“It’s useless, I’ve planted explosives under the entire golf course. Let’s go look for Rachel together…”
“Take care of Mommy. Don’t bother about me.”
Summer’s memories suddenly flooded back in.
The moment before she passed out, the scene of the explosion on the island three years ago flashed past her mind.
“Is she still alive?”
“Where’s the rescue personnel?”
After a noisy moment, the world was quiet once again.

“Who are you?”
“You don’t know who you’re married to?”
“Of course, I know. The man I’m married to is Leonardo!”

Summer suddenly opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling.

She suddenly turned over and sat up, and shocked the nurse who had just come in.
The nurse came over. “You’re awake? I’ll call the doctor right away.”

“Nurse, is the patient called Summer in this room?”

Summer did not listen to a single word Jessica said, as she demurred for a moment, and suddenly looked up at Jessica. “Where’s Leonardo?”
“Huh?” Jessica had recently gotten used to Summer in her amnesiac state, and the amnesiac Summer had very faint feelings for Leonardo, and would not ask for him in such a manner.
Jessica asked with uncertainty, “Why are you looking for Leonardo?”
“Is everything all right?” Summer held her forehead. “My mind is still confused. Weren’t we on the island looking for Adams and bringing Rosie back? Then there was this explosion…”
Jessica covered her mouth as she looked at Summer in disbelief.
Her voice was particularly soft, and she asked probingly, “Summer, you remember everything now?”
Summer frowned. “I…”
