Chapter 412 I Have Feelings for You

Leonardo squinted, revealing an inexplicable trace of a smile in his eyes. “You don’t understand?”
Summer was especially revolted by his air of absolute control.
She raised her chin a little, and any shred of gentleness in her voice was long gone.
She stared at Leonardo and spoke in a slightly cold tone. “What do you mean by mingling around?”
“For example, Stanley.” Leonardo’s speech slowed down somewhat, but it sounded even more sinister and dangerous now.
Summer smirked in anger and took a deep breath. “What about Amber then? What of her?”
“So you admit it?”
“Admit what?”
“Stanley.”
Their words went round and round before finally coming back to Stanley.
“Leonardo, aside from being Rosie’s parents, we have no other legally recognized relationship now.” Summer tried to reason with Leonardo. “There are some things that I know without the need for you to tell me, yet you—”
Leonardo was clearly in no mind to listen to what she had to say anymore and immediately cut her off. “As long as you understand.”
“Can you let me finish talking?” Summer struggled in irritation and easily broke free.
She gawked at Leonardo in surprise.
Leonardo put his hands back in his pocket, and leaned casually against the edge of the desk as he faintly said, “I only listen to useful words, which also saves our time.”
Summer shot back, “Your time is gold, and mine isn’t?”
“If you think that your time is gold, then you should be going back to bed now.” Leonardo tilted his head as he looked at her. There was a trace of innocence in his indifferent look.
Leonardo was really unreasonable, and Summer had nothing she could use to refute him.
After seeing the coffee on the table she had just placed on Leonardo’s desk, Summer glanced at Leonardo before reaching out for the cup, and drank it in one shot.
The coffee was a little bitter as no sugar or milk had been added yet, and it was bitter that her throat tingled.
Summer pursed her lips to endure the bitterness before she slammed the cup back onto the desk and defiantly said, “I’m going to bed. Good night!”
Leonardo looked on with a gloomy gaze as she left before he shifted his gaze to the empty coffee cup.
He held his finger out and tapped the handle of the coffee cup twice as he smiled.
Was she angry just now?
However, her form of revenge was just too light, and he did not get the feel of being retaliated upon. Instead, he found it mildly amusing.
Summer rushed back to her room, fuming.
After she closed the door, she let out a long sigh of relief and went to the bedside to check on Rosie.
When she saw that Rosie was still fast asleep, she got up and went into the bathroom.
Standing before the hand basin, she touched the corner of her lips, and the warmth of the kiss seemed to still be there.
She could not figure out what Leonardo was thinking, or what he was going to do.
Yet, his arrogant and condensing nature was annoying enough.
Summer walked out of the bathroom and did not lie directly on the bed.
She took her phone and sat on the sofa, as she sent a WeChat message to Jessica. “Are you really sure that I was in love with Leonardo before?”
Jessica was possibly playing with her phone, and her reply came soon after. “Yeah.”
Summer seemed to have finally found an outlet to vent and started to rant to Jessica. “But I find him very revolting now. He’s as arrogant as an emperor, and talking to him pisses the hell out of me…”
Jessica looked at her wall of text and responded with a sentence. “Give me an example.”
“He actually asked me not to go mingling around before he recovers his memories. Do I look like such a restless person? I can understand where he’s coming from, but isn’t he being a little too much for saying that…”
Jessica went through Summer’s paragraph back and forth before saying, “I feel like I’ve just been fed a mouthful of lovey-doveyness.”
Summer was speechless.
“The big boss clearly has feelings for you, but he has yet to fully regain his memories… This is a bit complicated. It’s like an animalistic instinct to declare ownership of his things and territory…”
Following that, she asked, “If I put it that way, I suppose you can understand it?”
“If he has feelings for me, shouldn’t he be gentler?”
“Every person has a different way of expression.” Jessica asked her patiently, “What about you? Don’t you feel anything for him?”
Summer went silent.
A few seconds later, she sent a “Good night” to Jessica.
Very quickly, Jessica replied, “You haven’t answered my question yet???”
Summer only responded, “I’m going to bed.”
She then threw the phone to the side.
She lay gently on the bed and carefully tucked the blanket around Rosie as she lay with her eyes open, unable to sleep.
Did she have feelings for Leonardo?
Feelings were linked to memory.
While she had no memory, Summer had been together with Leonardo from dawn to dusk. To say that she had no feelings was impossible.
She would feel an occasional throbbing.
Yet, the palpitations were illusory and devoid of any sense of security.
Without any memories to fall back on, the sudden bursts of emotions and palpitations were like akin to a skyscraper without its foundation, which would collapse with just a flick.
So, it boiled down to either of them regaining their memories or falling in love again.

Early in the morning, as Leonardo had just arrived at the office, Carl had popped out of nowhere.
Carl wore a blue pullover sweater with a white shirt inside, looking like a young man in his early twenties.
He stood in front of Leonardo and said with a smile, “Morning, Leonardo.”
Leonardo narrowed his eyes. “Anything?”
“Of course. Why would I be looking for you if there wasn’t anything?” Carl’s eyes were fixed on him, and his inquisitive gaze was undisguised.
Hearing that, Leonardo gave him a faint glance before spitting out two words, “Follow me.”
Carl froze in place for a moment, before quickly reacting and followed behind.
He followed Leonardo’s to the CEO’s office, but as they got out of the elevator, they ran into Kate.
Carl gave her a wide smile. “Ms. Emerson, long time no see.”
Kate’s expression changed the moment she saw Carl.
She ignored Carl and turned to Leonardo.
Leonardo did not even look at her. He simply walked past her toward his office.
Carl trailed behind Leonardo and did not forget to turn around to give Kate the provocative raise of an eyebrow.
Kate trembled in anger, as she clenched her fist. Her expression was hideous.
At that moment, her mobile phone rang.
Kate picked up the phone and said in an extremely poor tone, “Speak.”
No one knew what the person on the other side of the phone said, but Kate sneered, “Understood.”
